At this time the Maxabeni male leopard was still a young nomad, he is now a big dominant male in the south/central Sabi Sands

Glad you put the whole scene up Rob. It's not always easy to see and hear what happens in the bush, but this is the bush - beautiful but at times harsh. This leopard allowed those there to witness it and to use your vehicles to hide it's movement. Even leopards learn to adapt. Epic stuff.

16:41 is incredible how vulnerable these people are sitting in their open trucks. This leopard could easily jump on it pick up one of the onlookers and disappear into the wilderness with a blink of an eye.

All the human presence and noise must directly impact the leopards ability to hunt successfully in a negative way.
Dude the leopard literally follows the jeeps they give away the hiding spots of the warhog
When the warthog gets caught, the vehicles get the blame. When the warthog gets away, the vehicles get the blame. In an area like this the animals consider the vehicles as part of their natural surroundings and act accordingly.
@Junder R there's been vehicles around for over 90 years
Reserves only opened to vehicles in the late 1920s so not longer. That means no mammal alive in the heavily traversed areas such as the one in the video knows what it is like to not have vehicles around. Therefore to them the vehicles are part of their environment.
What you said is that it is hard for the animals to adapt, what I am saying is that the adaptation to vehicles happened many years ago. The reserves here have been in existence so long the only adaptations the animals need to make are around natural climate cycles, anything human has already been adapted to.

Its just sad tho , that the worthog had to suffer for 3 hours of torture . But I would love to set a leopard loose in some serial killers cell and tell the serial killer to kill or be killed. I can asure you , serial killer would die and made to suffer in those jaws and claws. Good riddance .

Took 15 or more minutes to die, but luckier than being caught by lions. They start tearing chunks off the warthog while it's still squealing.
