That movie is SO hard to watch alone for a second time. But, It was a BEAUTIFUL experience when i watched it for the first time. Maybe, if i get reborn in this world/universe, I hope i can watch it again with someone.

Didn't realize this anime came from that studio, an absolute masterpiece.
A crazy guy thought that the studio was plagiarizing his work so he backed a truck full of gasoline through the front door of the studio that was full of employees and lit it on fire, the fire escape on the roof of this three-story building was locked so a lot of the artist ended up burning alive. Absolutely disturbing and sad, the guy that lit the fire had a bunch of third-degree Burns but survives. The part that he claimed was plagiarized was something like ( they bought fish from the market) something ridiculously vague . They now have a memorial where the building once stood and the Anime Studio rebuilt in a different location and is thriving from what I last heard. There's several KZhead videos on it I don't recall how many perished off the top of my head but it was over a dozen.

Making irrational decisions, bad choices. Regretting them later on, getting depressed and ultimately left alone without friends until he stood up and lived with those facts. He started to love the girl he was confused about and disgusted of because of the hearing problems she has. She loving him back. Both of them went through a phase where they wanted to commit a suicide but always survived thanks to someone, later on they were helping each other to live and i love it. She wanted to commit suicide because of what she thought about herself (being a dead weight) but Shoya helped Shouko out of that dark area of life. They leaned on each other and later on were not afraid of being more open to each other. They left the end pretty open so people can choose however they want. For me since they even said that they will help each other live (and since they took liking in each other) they ended together after all the stuff they went through. It is just like real life. It is hard to find someone to talk to that will seriously listen to you and the same from the other side but once you find someone like that, you can not be afraid to lean on other people. I freakin LOVED this movie :) I just wish there were more of them similarly done like this one. Masterpiece in my opinion. Just felt like writing about this movie (a silent voice) here, hope you do not mind. :)

I love this movie because it goes out of everybody's comfort zone, it doesn't fuck around with how reality is, and how long it takes for someone to have that realisation of "oh... I fucked up" and shows how that effects them. Most anime would tell it from the pov of the bullied one, rather than the bully, but this anime doesn't fuck around and I love it. It shows rlly 'bad' ppl are ppl too, and in most cases that good people just make bad life decisions, that no matter how much bad shit they do, they still have feelings and can grow and mature and change opinions. They can also redeem themselves if they truly mean it and if ppl are willing to listen, not to excuses, but explanations and attempts to make it up to them. In this essay I will-- 💀

I love the animes use of sign language and there take on the struggles of deaf and even the positive messages that come from a kid who wishes to love someone struggling from not being able to connect to him (due to the language barrier, I think sign language is beautiful)

Please Read ⚠️ I developed an inferiority complex when I was younger due to the fact I was bullied. I grew up in a violent household so I never really learned how to deal with basic feelings. I was taught that if you were mean and violent people won't hurt you cause they'd be scared. So I hurt my bullies and they stopped hurting me... But when I did I had this feeling of satisfaction of being in "control", "on top", and "better". It made me feel strong so I started bullying people. I bullied a kid (He is now my close friend) for being gay and painting his nails. He always said karma was gonna come back to me and hurt me. I never believed him, but a couple years later I developed a crush on my girl best friend (I am a girl). I was in denial cause I thought it was bad, but after a couple months I felt guilty knowing I couldn't control who I loved. I apologized to him, he forgave me cause he knew why I did what I did. But even so, I am still guilty about it. But he helped me get rid of that satisfaction of hurting people and helped me figure out how to react to feelings. Just finished this movie for the first time, holy shi, I nearly cried 3 times, insanely good.
nearly? 3 times? thats it? lol i cried multiple times throughout the movie (probably over 10 lol i was bingeing sad/emotional anime at the time), definitely my favorite anime movie i've ever seen and it would be damn hard to beat it. A Silent Voice, along with Toradora are two anime i can definetly say that 100% deserve the "masterpiece" title, they are just perfect imo, the story, emotions, everything about them are just perfect, tbh, i'd like to see something be better but i'm not sure it's possible tbh to make something better that hits harder than a silent voice for emotions, or toradora for romance/romcoms

Started the movie last night, I’m half way through and I already love it. Crazy story people should care more about others to.
That movie stopped me from hurting myself because i realised that it can be worse anytime. Don't kill yourself. Don't hurt yourself. Try to understand what will people around you feel. Even if its only your family. By suicide you will just ruin your friends and family members life.

It is hard and yes suicide is a present thought. It has been like this for years but there is hope. I owe it to my future self and possible future family to keep going. Whats a few more years ?
