I always loved the message and feel of Cowboy Bebop, many people have made video essays over Bebop, and although they manage to get the point pretty well, I think it’s something that’s experienced, not explained. There’s something so familiar about the show, and yet nostalgic, it’s a message you can feel in your soul, but could never properly explain. Especially with the whole philosophy of the show, and the ending line: Your gonna carry that weight. It’s a feeling and message I don’t think anyone could ever properly articulate but we all know

@@A_Good_Boy. Everyone has their preferences, but in this case, you probably just don’t understand bebop and maybe that’s why you don’t enjoy it. If you’re willing to hear me out, I’d love to explain why I like bebop. Personally, I really like the laid back vibes, slower pacing, and the messages that the show has. Someone else explained it better than I can, but one of the lessons you can pick out from the story of bebop is that you’re gonna carry your trauma’s for the rest of your life, but it’s up to you how you deal with them and overcome it. I know that kind of narrative isn’t for everyone, however, just because the anime isn’t about saving the world from a BBEG, firing lasers, or high school romance doesn’t mean it’s a bad anime. It’s just a story about different things, presented in a different way, and I think that’s beautiful. I hope this helped!

You captured the essence. Bebop doesn't ever tout one plot as more important as another...every side quest and little moment is just as important as Spike's conclusion. You captured many of the little things and that shit hits hard

The real meaning of this show is in acceptance of the unexpected things in life. Life can get pretty fucked up at times but you always have the final say on how you are going to react. You might feel otherwise but the reality is that things just happen to you, no rhyme or reason whatever. But, you get to decide how you're gonna take it, and what your next step will be. When things go wrong or I'm faced with a seemingly insurmountable hardship I look in the mirror and say to myself "Whatever happens, happens..." as a Taoist reminder to go with the flow. So far, it has served me well in life.

The bittersweet ending was necessary for us to understand Spikes pain and his longing for death and even though he left everyone on the Bebop behind, he was at peace knowing he could finally die with his business finished. "See you, space cowboy...."

I love the scene in the beginning because it really depicts how we have no control over circumstances, but we can control our reactions. Whatever happens, happens. When there's pain and nonacceptance, that is where suffering is born. But when there is pain and acceptance, there is simply just pain.

Cowboy bebop is usually seen as a piece of art or cultural impression on anime. It is but I think it's one that teaches more than coolness, style, or impressive fighting skills. For me and probably thousands others it was those darkest nights or warm rising morning that this anime not only made it just a bit better but made me realize we are so lucky, we're all struggling and even though some people express it through anger and rage it's shown us the world is hard but, whatever happens happens.

Just finished this. I started it as a kid and tossed it away, but this go around, the way spike says he’s already died once before. It struck me in a place that I can’t even describe. I don’t want to be edgy or pull pity, just want to point out that for me, the writers hit every single emotional mark possible.
I love how this show just shows you to handle business or you're gonna regret it & live in misery any way. Very powerful show I just watched it recently & never saw it back in the day some how but, very impressed it's up there in my list now.

On the inside, you the bad and ugly as well as the good. From the outside, most people only get a part of the picture. What he had was good, but he needed to learn that for himself. The first few episodes shows us a happy-go-lucky Spike. He seems so aloof and just fun. But deep down, he was depressed, holding grudges, and just have a lot of knots in his heart. To fit him in our world, he would be that happy and loud co-worker across the office that didn't want you to know how much he hates himself for something that wasn't his fault.
Tbh it's how I've been treating myself. I know it's not my fault what happened but I'll be carrying it my whole life. Co-workers see me as happy and making sure everyone's having a good day. Sometimes it's easier to put on a smile and go with the flow rather than trying to figure everything out.

He made me discover Cowboy Bebop and I can't thank him enough. I absolutely loved hearing Spike say "Whatever happens, happens" when I initially watched this video. Watching the show now, Episode 19 at exactly 22:00 he says "Whatever happens, happens" with this very scene. I got mad excited and I ran back here to listen to this song. I absolutely hate my life but watching Cowboy Bebop makes it a little bit better.

Won't lie, I was a young kid and had a older cousin who always watched Cowboy Bebop, and would let me watch when I younger, Im 19 and was 5 at the time, he is a Marine and always said that beginning phrase, even as a father of two and married, he always says it, kinda makes ya think alot on what "Whatever happens, happens" on the day he left he would even says "See you Space Cowboy" and it gets me all the time, my cousin still tries to be one, still a great anime, and still gets to your feels, and also love the music.

My brother passed away 6 years ago. He was 4 years and 1 day older than me. When we were teenagers we used watch cowboy bebop and bleach. He owned the dvd set of Bebop. So now, when I get lonely and think about him. I’ll pop in that first episode of bebop and start the memories again!

The Netflix Cowboy Bebop adaptation said they will cut out most of the smoking. This video shows just how stupid of an idea that is. I mean, smoking was essential to the stoic message of the series.

its a calming experience, listening to sad music makes you understand those emotions and deal with them. I always get into reminiscient thoughts.

It's beautiful. The feeling when you're not worried about anything. You do not care if you live or die. You're just enjoying the ride after leaving your past and insecurities behind you. It's wonderful how good life becomes when you stop worrying about the mundane things and look at the bigger picture. There's more to life, more than what meets the eye at first glance. Seek it.

Once you stop relying on the little voice that tells you everything is okay n start listening to the part of you that wants to grow everything will change. My mom saw me crying as i was listening to this song because of a bad mind set i was in... then she said "dont cry for things thats temporary, cry for the things that didnt happen" and now that im listening to this again... shes not here to cheer me up as i feel sad and down... my mom was everything until cancer took her away from me.
