@@LiaEvlin_#1 she was always suicidal , #2 shoya was also always suicidal. #3 shoko told him NOT to follow her, and she was off to study. he went in to help her little sister and decided himself to see what she was doing out of kindness, but she was about to commit suicide ALONE. he saw her, and tried to save her on his own willpower. He risked his own life because of his own choices and it correlated to what he was going through because he realized neither of them deserved what they went through. the only reason he fell was because when he pulled her up, he had nothing to weigh him down on the other side. It was no one’s fault, she didn’t tell him anything. She was the true victim throughout the movie, but her bully shoya was also a victim of his own choices. The people around them instigated their relationships, and forced them both to believe they were the perpetrators to the people around them. By the end, they all accepted what they dealt with as people and “friends”, and he overcame his depression because of shoko who shared a connection and similar experiences with him.

I was a mean girl in middle school. I’m in high school now, and the effects of my actions still reside with me today. I still think about how I likely made those kids feel, how I made fun of them just to make myself feel better about my miserable life. I’ve tried to apologize to the kids I made fun of, some forgave me, some didn’t. And they have every right to decline my pathetic apologies. Which is why I relate to Shoya so deeply. This movie resignates with me so much I can’t even describe it. And like most people, every time I watch it I can’t help but break out into tears. The art and word building is beautiful, the characters are so well-written, and so much is described so beautifully without words. Ik many of you probably relate to this movie in some capacity, and I just want you all to know that it gets better. time heals all wounds, and you all need to just keep going. If you don’t feel like you fit in now, please keep in mind that now isn’t forever. You all will find your place in this world, it truly just takes time. Please remember to keep going, keep your head up, and stay strong.

I had a hard time watching movies because i get bored fast. But for A Silent Voice, i was so invested that i forgot about my surroundings, i was so focused on the movie and i love it so much. No movie or show has ever made me cry like A Silent Voice did. This movie means a lot to me and it changed my perspective in life. I learned that we should accept ourselves for who we are and let go of the past, we should never let anything get to us. Like Miki said, 1:46:20 "the thing is, you have to accept the bad parts of yourself with the good and just move forward". I am never gonna forget this movie.

Tbf, when you're in such a desperate situation, you forget everything around you and only focus on one thing. Shoya had tunnel vision. To him, that table probably wasn't even visible. As for him sitting there wasting seconds, it's possible that he was still trying to process what was about to happen. Remember, it isn't every day you see something like this. Most people (internally or externally) would be panicking, and your critical thinking kicks in. You've got mere seconds to make life altering decisions.

Normally anime with English dubs sound weird (at least for me), but the English dubs for A Silent Voice nails it. It brings out the exact same message just like in Japanese, and those conversations sounded so natural which is surprising 😮 Many anime has conversations between characters that sound awkward as if they’re npcs. This is top-notch 👍🏻

Shoko really deserved better in every single thing miki and her "Friends" did, she was bullied, made fun of of and blamed for the reason shoya was in the hospital, and the fact that she blamed herself is even more painful to watch

He risked his own life because of his own choices and it correlated to what he was going through because he realized neither of them deserved what they went through. the only reason he fell was because when he pulled her up, he had nothing to weigh him down on the other side. It was no one’s fault, she didn’t tell him anything. She was the true victim throughout the movie, but her bully shoya was also a victim of his own choices. The people around them instigated their relationships, and forced them both to believe they were the perpetrators to the people around them. By the end, they all accepted what they dealt with as people and “friends”, and he overcame his depression because of shoko who shared a connection and similar experiences with him.

I was a mean girl in middle school. I’m in high school now, and the effects of my actions still reside with me today. I still think about how I likely made those kids feel, how I made fun of them just to make myself feel better about my miserable life. I’ve tried to apologize to the kids I made fun of, some forgave me, some didn’t. And they have every right to decline my pathetic apologies. Which is why I relate to Shoya so deeply. This movie resignates with me so much I can’t even describe it. And like most people, every time I watch it I can’t help but break out into tears. The art and word building is beautiful, the characters are so well-written, and so much is described so beautifully without words. Ik many of you probably relate to this movie in some capacity, and I just want you all to know that it gets better. time heals all wounds, and you all need to just keep going. If you don’t feel like you fit in now, please keep in mind that now isn’t forever. You all will find your place in this world, it truly just takes time. I was in Middle school when I watched this, at the time I was really suicidal. This movie saved me, made me realize the importance of friends and family. And to leave them behind would be extremely selfish. This movie changed my life forever.

I had a hard time watching movies because i get bored fast. But for A Silent Voice, i was so invested that i forgot about my surroundings, i was so focused on the movie and i love it so much. No movie or show has ever made me cry like A Silent Voice did. This movie means a lot to me and it changed my perspective in life. I learned that we should accept ourselves for who we are and let go of the past, we should never let anything get to us. Like Miki said, 1:46:20 "the thing is, you have to accept the bad parts of yourself with the good and just move forward". I am never gonna forget this movie.

Tbf, when you're in such a desperate situation, you forget everything around you and only focus on one thing. Shoya had tunnel vision. To him, that table probably wasn't even visible. As for him sitting there wasting seconds, it's possible that he was still trying to process what was about to happen. Remember, it isn't every day you see something like this. Most people (internally or externally) would be panicking, and your critical thinking kicks in. You've got mere seconds to make life altering decisions.

Normally anime with English dubs sound weird (at least for me), but the English dubs for A Silent Voice nails it. It brings out the exact same message just like in Japanese, and those conversations sounded so natural which is surprising 😮 Many anime has conversations between characters that sound awkward as if they’re npcs. This is top-notch 👍🏻

Yeah it brought back that shaking i used to do when I experienced stuff like this, but I found to embrace it and know that i was deserving of some form of happiness
This movie made me realize that life is so much more than what people make it seem. Even if it’s a living hell, it’ll only get better if you try. People give up easily, I just wish they would try harder and see life from a different perspective, that there’s a more beautiful filter if you just switched the camera lenses
