"Ramshackle" is about the daily misadventures of three street rats - Stone, Skipp, and Vinnie - as they try to thrive on the streets of their crime-ridden town. In this episode, the trio finds a baby in a trash can while looking for their misplaced can of beans.
When I made these characters in elementary school, I never would have ever imagined I could cross "making an entire episode of Ramshackle" off my bucket list. This project been part of my identity for the better half of my time here on earth, and I'm stoked to share the madness with everyone.

This is so good. There are so many things I love about this. The social commentary about the horrors of child celebrities, the music choice, the totally unexpected action scene, the lovable characters, the custom subtitles that change colour with the scene and mood (which is so cool, I never see anyone do anything with subtitles), the reveal of Maggot being a literal angel, the accurateness of the rich people, I could go on and on. This series is absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to see more. Oh I also like the inclusion of an easter egg and little mini competition to search for it (to be honest I was way to invested in the rest of the show and forgot all about the easter egg.)

This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing things i've ever seen. Also i think its really smart to have a fun little easter egg which keeps people really attentive, and looking everywhere, allowing them to explore the beauty of the animation even further. Every frame is a perfectly sculpted drawing in its own. My favourite indie pilot animation. I love the little detail how Vinnie becomes sad when Skipp states that he’s alone in the world, with no one to take care of him. Sort of gives a hint on her backstory. The other detail when she defends the baby on the orphanage idea also gives you a clue. She might be from an orphanage where her parents abandoned her-I dunno.
In the webtoon comic, Stone comments something like “At least my parents didn’t abandon me the minute I came out the womb.” when talking to Vinnie. So yeah, it’s possible.

I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this after seeing it everywhere, but I’m so glad I finally did. The judges pointing to Maggot doing the “maggot”, and the Scraps’ faces looking up at the biblically accurate Angel made me laugh so hard. I feel so lucky existing in a time with all of these amazing KZhead animations out rn.
