    • Yeah if I ever see a LOT of breaking ahead of me on the highway, I immediately put my hazards on so everyone else knows “hey you might wanna slow down”

      @kingofgrim4761@kingofgrim476110 ай бұрын
    • @@kingofgrim4761that’s not how you use hazards… they are just gunna think YOUR breaking down not that stop and go traffic is happening … if they need YOUR hazards to tell them what’s going on.. that’s not gunna help any😂 at that point they are a loss cause if they can’t feel the flow of tragic and stay a good distance back and slow every single time the car infront slows , as soon as someone infront of you breaks YOU BREAK TOO always throwing on your hazards is not how they are to be used and we will then get use to dumbasses always throwing on their hazards in a non hazardous or unexpected car issue situation… I see people do this all the time and it’s just dumb . You then try to analyze if THAT vehicle is loosing control, fully stopping due to car trouble or in a dangerous situation… not “ hmm I bet there is traffic up ahead or something in the road or maybe even a dear!”

    • @@virginiaWT4237 yeah it is, quite literally part of the drivers manual. It’s especially useful on highways/thruways, where everyone is going from 75+ to stopping in less than a half or quarter mile. It helps people out and especially since I make it pretty clear (I don’t just turn them on and leave them, I basically flash the hazards so they can tell it’s a warning)

    @thewhat1045@thewhat1045 Жыл бұрын
  • If you’re unsure about the distance between you and the car in front, a good rule of thumb is to measure using something in the road like a sign for example, and then immediately once the car in front has passed that, you count 1001, 1002, 1003. If you pass the sign after you’ve finished counting, you’re an appropriate distance away from the car in front. If you pass it before you’ve finished counting, you’re too close. (Of course, this only applies to regular cars, not semis or anything like that. It also depends on the condition of your brakes, and the weight of your car.)
