With MagSafe being just over a year old. It's surprising that no manufacture on Android has implemented the technology, it has a ton of great uses and a whole ecosystem of products available. In Today's Video, I'm going to show you exactly how you can add MagSafe and it's super easy.

4:45 it cuts his finger. I got it, got cut after several days - now removing it. This thing cuts like a knife. Avoid !
Wow I'm sorry that happened to you. I personally don't like obstructions on the back of my cases so I ended up placing one inside the case instead. I didn't even notice it cut me until you mentioned it. Making sure to pin your comment now
@@IkesTechTalk I thought it was not bad but I am surprised that this product is still being sold. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Taking it off is also a pain as this cheap product is so badly made - it's a sandwich of 3M glue, magnets, and the a cheap sticker - so when u take it off u need to take each stupid magnet off separately as it is not really a one piece. I do not say it lightly - Probably the worst product I ever bought. Garbage.
look at the bright side Its antitheft Anyone who try to steal it is going to get cut
Use 2022 ESR coil (newest one). No cuts on my fingers
I'll check that one out
Just found your channel thanks to the GG livestream. Love your work and your style. Just subbed and looking forward to more content. Stay on that grind!
Thanks appreciate it man👊🏾
This is so dope Ike, thanks for sharing. I may have to pick one of these up.
Yes sir adds a whole new ecosystem of products to your phone
@@IkesTechTalk FACTS
I've been using magsafe stuff on my Samsung zfold 3 😍. I love the MOFT prop for the last month or so. It works great as a stand for this big a&& phone of mine 😂 😉 great video 😍
That's for watching. I know you be having those life hacks over there😂
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
Thanks my friend👊🏾
Nice I got one of those because of this vid! looks really nice in my black case (iphone 13 pro max)
Thank you
Thanks man. I am getting a pixel 6 pro and was curious what is compatible with it👍
thank you
Plus if your phone doesn't support wireless charging a thin adapter for wireless charging on android is only $8, its usb and takes up your usb c port unless you unplug it but its basically unnoticeable, and then to add onto that just put the magsafe ring on your phone and its just as good or better than iphone depending on how good your Android phone is
Added these to some note 20 cases....love the functionality and to still wireless charge....any magsafe accessories should work with these rings
Yup I'm still exploring all the magsafe accessories that I can use. . You're literally adding a whole new ecosystem of accessories to your device
@@IkesTechTalk it makes the phone souch easier to hold with a magsafe grip....I got there car charger and makes handsfree in the car so much easier and the hold is amazing
Nice I'm thinking about trying it out on my Fold to see how it works
What about your spen? its works with without problems?
Thanks for the vid. Sick set up with the skin + clear case 👌 what is the case btw?
Um the case is the RIngke Clear. They also have a Matte version as well that I like. Gotta go Clear if you're going with a skin lol
Coppin for my P6. Respect.
Thanks for watching👊🏾
ESR haylolock is grate as well $15 for 2 check them out super strong magnets I love ESR
Ayo Ike!!! Thanks for the video!!! Turns out it's on sale for 11 bucks now!!!
Nice man enjoy!!!
@@IkesTechTalk Just to be clear, I can use apple magsafe products on my Fold with those rings?
Because I'm thinking about purchasing the anker 6000ma magsafe battery pack
Yup you can. I can't say how fast things will charge in the case of the battery bank. But it will work as long as the battery bank charges wirelessly
@@IkesTechTalk That's What's Up!!! Thank You!!!
Good one. Can you share your lockscreen live wallpaper? thanks
If I remember correctly it's amoled live wallpaper and it's in the play store
I'm pretty sure Moment makes a magsafe version of cases for non iPhones. Unfortunately I think it's only for the S21 ultra. It would be nice if they made it for other brands. Mous makes magnetic cases as well but I don't think except for their newest ones the will work with magsafe. The magnets are not aligned with magsafe.🤷
Yea they have one for the 6 series. I just don't like being locked into one particular case or phone.
@@IkesTechTalk I know right! I bought the Mous cases for my Pixel 4xl and iPhone 11 pro max and I really like them but I kinda miss having a clear case😅 And besides that I have yet to buy any of their magnetic accessories because to be honest they're pretty expensive 😅
Just a question, might sound stupid but just need them clarified Does this work through the case? As in if I attached it inside instead of outside the case, would it still work reasonably well?
Definitely a valid question, it does, just won't be as strong. My wallet case barely worked with it thru the case
Thanks for the question, I was going to ask the same.
Hi. do you think it will be strong enough to hold phone on bumpy road?
It is for sure. I've even put the ring between my case and phone and it was still strong enough to hold firm while going over speed bumps and all
Can you test it with some thicker cases like the otterbox defender and let us know the wireless charging still works??
Sorry I don't have that one but as long as your putting the magnet on the back, you wouldn't have any issues. Wireless charging isn't affected so if the case can wirelessly charge without the magnet, you shouldn't have an issue with it having the magnet attached to the back
@@IkesTechTalk ok thanks man, good to know ❤️
@@IkesTechTalk my concern was, if the case is already thick, will the thickness of these magnets are going to make the charger too far. But as you said after a second thought, i think it might not
The magnets are never too too thick I know that there's a lot of brands who make them really really thin so that might be a better option than what I showed here in the video
@@IkesTechTalk Thanks
if I connect this stricker to iPhone 11 pro max can I connect anker 610 magenetic grip holder?
Shouldn't be an issue. I don't personally own that accessory though so I can't confirm for sure
Does the ring interfere if using another non-MagSafe wireless chargers. I want to get the Mophie power bank for the portability for my s22+, but don't want to have to replace my other plugged in wireless stands if I don't need to. I have one in three different rooms so it would be a hidden expense. Worse comes to worse I guess just removing the phone from the case when using the wired devices would be acceptable since you won't be going anywhere with them
It didn't for me. I was still able to use my normal triple charger
@@IkesTechTalk Thanks !
What's that skin??? It looks sick 🤩🤩 I know it's dbrand but I cannot find the same build
Robot camo
Hi! My colleague has an iPhone with these magnets under a case to use with a car mount as well as charging at home. Have no idea why he does like that but anyways... I have searched for a similar feature to my Galaxy Note 9 but cannot find it. Until I found your clip! I consider getting a cover holding the magnets in place instead of attaching it to the back of the phone. This will prevent cutting my skin. Now, do you have access to an original Samsung wireless charging duo pad or similar to check the compatability. I do not want to start buying Apple chargers...
Lol I hear that, I have both the trio and duo pad from Samsung and didn't have any issues personally
@@IkesTechTalk thanks Ike. I will look for the best option nearby since there are several 3rd party manufacturers of these magnets 😃
Just be careful with this one if you go this route someone cut themselves with it
Hey, I 'ld like to know. If put this ring inside the case. How it work?
It does just not as strong as outside the case. I’d recommend just placing it inside the case without sticking it to first and trying it that. Then if you like it. Apply it
@@IkesTechTalk Big thanks.😁
No problem
Hey, i wonder if that kind of rings is strong enough to hold a phone at car magsafe mount?
Yup i was using it with a third party vent mount from vicseed. And that mount works great with Magsafe. What I would say is depending on if you put it on the back of the case or you put it between the case and your phone does make a difference. You get the strongest pull if you do the ring directly to the mount, and a slightly weaker pull if the ring is between the case and your phone
@@IkesTechTalk thanks a lot for such fast response❤ and of course im going to attach it to the back of my phone's case to get stronger and safer connection⚡
No problem and enjoy. These rings open up a whole new ecosystem of accessories
@@IkesTechTalk absolutely! I have dicided to try magsafe ecosystem and Mophie's are already ordered for me :) Thanks for all!
Mophie rings are great! Magnets are really strong and car mount with magsafe and wireless charging is absolutely musthave!
Beat me to it! 😂
lol great minds think alike
how does it goes after these months? I bought something like this, but wireless charge create heat and the rings always get off with the power bank :(
I'm honestly not using mine. Fell in love with my Bellroy leather case and refuse to put one of these rings on it 😂
@@IkesTechTalk (flop)then how about all your magsafe accessories? I already spend more than $600AUD on magsafe accessories, can't just give up like that.... but I can take your unuse accessories to help you make some rooms in your place, lol.
Well I'm not giving up anything. I carry two devices at all times one is an iPhone where magsafe is native
With the MagSafe ring on, can you still use other non MagSafe wireless chargers?
Yup I didn't have a problem with it during my time using it.
@@IkesTechTalk thanks...with the ring installed I can't use the official pixel stand charger....
Dang that stinks, might be certain chargers. I use the Anker powerwave stand
Could you try it on the inside of your case to see if it works?
It's not strong enough, you also get a bit of a bulge because this ring is a bit thicker. A thinner one would eliminate the bulge. But I don't see any magnets being strong enough to go thru the case
@@IkesTechTalk Interesting as I have a thin metal plate between my S22 and case now and use it with a magnetic mount in the car and works great. Now I would like to wirelessly charge so I am looking into Magsafe. Thought I could do the same just with a ring.
Yeah I've used the metal plates as well, none of the rings I've tried have been strong enough to go thru even a thin style case like I have on this device
Ugh it's not centered left and right. Can't watch 😂 jk Great video 👍
Will this hold your phone to a magnetic surface? Like a refrigerator or something else metal?
Good question, I've honestly never tried it. But I do know that if you use like a magsafe case it does. Since these rings are the same as that, just not built in, I don't see why it wouldn't work
@@IkesTechTalk thank you. I've tried many magsafe cases, like the UAG for Samsung, and they do not stick to metal surfaces. The magnet isn't strong enough. So far the only case I've seen that does this is the magbak case. And they don't make them for my s23 yet. So I'm looking for an alternative.
Yea I just talked to my rep from Magbak and they are working on it.
@@IkesTechTalk I am waiting! And if you have a review, I'll definitely watch.
Yea when they shoot it over I will definitely get one out. I have one up on the Pixel 7 Pro but not for the S23U just yet
I put that in my Galaxy S22 and it is not that sharp to cut your finger. I don't know how he cut his finger. It is a nice ring in my personal opinion and you can keep your water and impact shock expensive phone cover.
ive seen ppl put it under the skin, works just as good
I've never though about under the skin because I wouldn't want it to stick to my phone's back. Some of these rings are a pain to get off
@@IkesTechTalk u are def correct would never do that, it was on a dbrand case they put the Ring then the skin.
They make magsafe cases for Samsung Galaxy phones
Yup I've featured some for my galaxy devices and my pixel devices
Anyone have any idea if this would mess with the spen on the s22 Ultra. I've heard in the past that the spen malfunctions when it's near magnets, and that it might destroy the tip.
I've heard that as well, not sure if it would be the same with these rings in particular. I would maybe search amazon for some that specifically say they have tested and work with SPen
Any luck with the 22 ultra? Considering these magnets
Does it work on glass case?
I honestly haven't tried a glass case. But it's just adhesive sticking it so I don't see why it wouldn't
@@IkesTechTalk Thank you so much for the prompt reply!
Did you have issues with it coming off ?
Lol o yea once it's on there, it's on there. With this rings I always recommend ordering a spare case or skin in case you wanna take it off. Because a skin, it's not going to fit the same when you remove, if it doesn't tear while you are removing it, and with a case, it's going to leave marks
@@IkesTechTalk awesome i bought the Spigen one and didn't even last. Hour before it fell off . Do you think the frosted case from rignke makes a difference in the ability to stick
Ummm that's a good question. Honestly I have only used the rings on clear cases like the one in this video. I do have a satachi leather magsafe adapter that I've stuck to leather cases with no issues though
@@IkesTechTalk damn i bought the Mophie ones today after your video best buy has them . But I'll give it a try
Yeah just give it a try, if anything best buy is really good about returns in my experience
Does it charge fast tho?
Sorry about the delayed response. You definitely aren't going to get the max speed from magsafe charging this way. You'll probably get the normal wireless charging speeds
These rings are like having a sharp knife blade on the rear of your phone, the reviewer cut his finger during his review, I also cut my finger across the finger pad, it was quite deep and took weeks to clear up, the ring and case went into the bin after 2 days, be carful with this product
I can see from a mile magsafe coil is incorrectly, not center installed 😁
O it's 100% not perfectly centered 😂 that's why I'm glad multiple come in the box
If you put the ring directly on your phone THEN put a case on. Would it still work? 🤔
It might depending on how thin the case is normal cases it's not going to work. Also be careful if you're going to put it directly on your phone, they can be tough to get off
@@IkesTechTalk thanks for the reply ! I'll check it out
My name is also Ike
It instantly made me more trusting and into the video to know your name was also ike hahah
Lol nice thanks for watching
What wallet is that?

4:13 why the phone case looks like it's dirty
I mean I did use that case almost exclusively at the time
@@IkesTechTalk was it dirty? or it was just designed like that?
I don't exactly know what you mean by dirty but I keep in mind I used this case daily for a bit before even shooting this video.
@@IkesTechTalk my bad, didn't notice its a skin
Ooooooooo you meant the skin 😂 my bad it's morning where I am and I admittedly haven't had my coffee yet
Can anyone actually confirm that the Pixel 6 Pro charges wirelessly after doing this? I installed the ring on the leather case that Google sold with the phone, centered around the G on the back, roughly the center of the phone. As with Ike's phone, when placing on my charger, the battery status indicated it was charging but left on overnight, it failed to charge at all.
Mine still charges wirelessly with no issues on this end
@@IkesTechTalk Thanks for the confirmation. I watched the video again and noticed the film on the front side of the ring. I didn't notice that but stripping it off seems to have worked.
Nice glad you figured it out
@@IkesTechTalk Thanks for the great video.
From 75% to 100 in 1h 15 mins that is a lot.
In terms of charging? Yup I find that the Pixel doesn't show the actual speed correct for some reason. Like I'll be at 85 percent and it'll still say like an hour for some reason
@@IkesTechTalk can you make like a shorts video showing from 0 to hundred how much time it takes? It would be really appreciated
I don't still have it on my phone in all honesty. Also it's not fast, the only time I would wireless charge with the ring on is overnight
I'm gonna do this to my Samsung s21 plus it'll be inside the phone tho
Nice what magsafe accessories you planning on using?
Out of curiosity how did you get on sticking it inside the case please. I've thought the same to prevent the thing sticking out
I have mixed results depending on what accessories I try to connect. It’s obviously not going to be as strong as having it outside though
@@IkesTechTalk i put the metal ring on the inside and it sticks pretty well without ruining the fit of the back glass and then i bought a magsafe case that works so well i have a battery pack that works with it but bad thing about it is its not gonna charge fast
dislike only for phones with build in qi
Not sure what you mean by only for phones with qi but it works for all phones obviously if a phone doesn't have wireless charging. Wireless charging won't work
@@IkesTechTalk adding qi possible.
