the fact that the s23 ultra still holds up to the iphone 15 pro max despite being released almost a year ago shows how well that samsung is holding up
That's now how it works, they are released in the same year so they are the same, both companies have a year, form the point of their release, to innovate their phones.
exclude the apple ecosystem pound for pound the galaxy 23 is a much better phone...most of the creators are sheeps/fanboys ill leave it at that
@@discodan1592agreed, so much bias for apple
@@discodan1592 i understand so lets hope the s24 ultra and the z fold 6 blows apple out of the water 👍👍
But if you relocate and rename back that S23U to original, than it's just the phone what is 1-2 weeks older like the iPhone.. because it's the Note 23, and Note series was the direct competitor of the iPnone for a decade (until Samsung retreated, and even try to fool you to compare it with the 1 year sooner iPhone with the earlier release) but that past decade is unchanged.. you know Note 20 also released with the iPhone 12, you just need to add 3 for each serial number, so the S24 is not the iPhone 15 competitor for example, or you are also accept that you was a fool for a decade and you compared the wrong devices, because the Note 20 was only the iPhone 11 competitor not the iPhone 12 for example.
Thanks for having me again Saf :)

So glad to see the Android space being competitive again with solid phones from OnePlus and Google. Samsung makes good hardware, but they need this extra competition!
it has been competitive just that most famous reviewers are americans who can't rlly live without an iphone cause of the usa

Went back to Android this year after three years on iOS. Chose to go with the Pixel 8 Pro as opposed to the usual Samsung. The Pixel is amazing and I am in love with Android again.
How do you find it from the perspective of a Samsung user? Looking to upgrade myself in a month or 2
Looking to switch from my Pixel 4XL to a Pixel 6Pro or 7Pro. Pixel camera magic is AWESOME
@@Mordotz the best thing about the Pixel is that there is no duplicate apps to worry about. No double clock apps, double browser apps, double messaging apps. I would have to hide so many apps on the samsung cuz i didnt want them but couldnt uninstall. The software is also smoother. Clean Android is amazing.
@@blinblinthing the video quality is amazing also!
Wife and I did the same thing this year. Did not realize how much I missed Android, things like messages on web, call screening, and all the features that make it a better phone. Throw in the amazing cameras this year and I've had great battery life, I can truly say it was my favorite purchase of the year
It's insane I've been watching almost all y'all for over 10 years. Y'all are legends in the tech game!
Thank you for not confusing me with TheUnlocker
I did have to triple check just in case 😜
It's honestly been a pretty good year for One Plus. I'm not a fan of folding phones, but the One Plus Open in my opinion beats the Samsung Z Fold 5. But honestly, my attention is on the budget One Plus Nord N30.
I got it and its one of the best mid range phones in the world amazing display and camera recommend it
It is not mid range@@putinputino
I've always been a fan of the idea of folding phones. Especially like the fold and OP Open, because they give you flexibility (literally lol) in your daily use. But the small screen of the fold was too narrow for me in daily use, so when OnePlus released the open I bought that instead. Its really is an awesome device and I'm happy so many tech yt'ers recognized that for this video. In case someone is interested some backstory: The flexibility of the phone really pays off during a normal work day for me. I work in software engineering for HVAC installations. That means I sit behind a pc at the office some days, but I also visit the buildings I make the software for so I can test the local heating/cooling installation in combination with the software I created. The OnePlus open makes it so much easier to walk around the building without having to open up my laptop everytime. I just drop my laptop somewhere and use my phone for remote control. And when I have my break I use it to watch some KZhead or Netflix on a big screen. Then I just fold it up and put it in my pocket untill I need it for a phone call.
Flossy Carter is missing in this video. He's one of the best tech reviewers. Always keeping it 💯
Shout out to Whiteshoes
Love Flossy and just noticed I don’t think I’ve ever seen a collaboration video with him and any of these KZheadrs… the GOAT must know something we don’t???

He too real to fold and become one of these reviewers.
WHERE IS FLOSS!!??!
Watching this on my Oppo Find N3 (OnePlus Open basically for the Asian market) and Im pleasantly surprised how many tech reviewers mention the Oneplus Open! Ive used many phones too and this by far is a big step up from anything ive used so far. Seriously, Samsung needs to pull up their socks for the Fold 6!
Awesome content! But if I may ask, why does MKBHD look 4'11 on that first Iphone 15 pro photo? 🤣
Been rocking the Samsung S23 Ultra for a couple months now, I think this phone is a beast in every aspect and has everything a smartphone can offer and even more, I am quite surprised that this phone didn't get as much credit it deserves in this video. Thanks SuperSaf for putting it out there considering the fact that S23 Ultra came way earlier than the rest of the phones here.
They will not give it to Samsung because many us youtubers are bought by either pixel or apple.
Also good to see that OnePlus open is getting some good feedback.
Because it's video quality is the main reason these guys did not chose it. If it comes toe to toe or even better than iPhone then all these isheeps will switch to Samsung
S23 ultra supposed to get credit and it deserves. I feel it's paid review by one plus and Google 😅😅
Because they all love the iPhone in the US. 😂
11:42 Marques, Pixel 8 👍
Marques hates Iphones 😅
It's so silly but this is actually one of my favorite videos of the year. I like knowing what these creators actually use, not just what they're showing us.
That group photo having tiny Marques killed me🤣🤣🤣
Nice Duo Colab ! 👍 Good to see the Tech Squad come together and give their take all at once. Waiting for the S24U 😅 can't wait
The baby S23 is my smartphone of the year because it's compact, it feels so nice in the hands (i have small ones), it has a very good battery, the photos and videos got better with software updates. It's powerful, doesn't heat as the S22 did, still has this precious telephoto lens and... Have i already talked about the very good battery of this smartphone ? Well, i think, i did. For european consumers, Snapdragon (8 Gen 2) was a big YES and a huge updgrade comparing to Exynos, errr... thing.
This is so true..That phone is highly underrated...It is a solid phone!
I m using it and I just love it. S23 ❤️
My Android is the S23 Ultra but it was a really close call which to buy. I really like the small S23 coz the 6.1 inches really is the sweet spot. So light, so compact and packs a punch with SD8 gen2.
Yes S23 base is the best one. Nice & small and packs most of the S23 lineups features in almost half the price.
To bad Exynos is coming back with s24.
This video is great to know exactly who to ignore when it comes to reviews if they pick the iphone for anything. JerryRig and Brownlee man you never guys never let us down, always on point.
Congratulations Saf on 2 million Subs. Hope you will do more tech stuffs this year and also more car reviews

I got a Pixel 8 for xmas but it only has 128 gb so i am returnining it to get probably a S23 ultra but they are announcing the S24 in 18 days, should i wait? Do you think the deals on now for the S23s are reflective of pushing as many of the older models before the new one comes? Will the prices if S23s drop when the S24s and will the S24s be priced around the same as the 23s are now without the deals? Basically will i get newer and better for around or a bit more if I wait a few weeks or can i get the S23 Ultra later for an even better price than the boxing day sales? I plan to buy outright and use for 2-5 years. I use it for work authorization, banking, surfing the net, some games, watching videos, etc so don't need or want the latest and greatest every year. But if i'm buying now I figure i should get the best option that will last a long time.
Im surprised i dont see many 23U but ive been using it since it released and i came over from p6p and p7p and the s23U just feels so complete eith all the software that google offers ,with all dat battery life, speed, efficiency,i wanted to give samsung a chance again after years but i definitely needed a break from google as they kinda disappointed me with the p6p snd the p7p ,ive been hearing good thing about the google again and its possible for me to come back but who knows👀
@@nehemiahbolden8634 yeah I'm still using it and still feel the same way the day I bought it, I was close to buying the s24U but I decided to stick with the 23 till next year since it's really the same thing
As a Samsung user, i do think that Samsung really need to work harder especially in the foldable department. Competition out there is strong. You can't just release similar phones like Fold4 & 5
fold 6 .....stand by...your wish will be granted
There is no competition for Samsung. Samsung foldables are released globally contrary to most other brands. Samsung also provide foldable screens for other brands. Samsung is winning everyday.
Samsung is just selling because of its marketing strategies n reach into the marker otherwise this phone has been long crushed by the Chinese giants like huawei honor one plus n MI.. I wish n hope they should learn from these Chinese phones..
@sumitpalsingh5262 Samsung is selling because it was the first in the foldable game to get popular Same goes for the iphone

Nice to see New phone getting alot of love. Thats the ONEPLUS OPEN. usually hear about same phones....
In my case I am all in for small phones and I have two sims, so I am still rocking my iPhone 13 mini with motorolla razr plus = best combo for staying in Apple ecosystem while having the extra productivity and content viewing from android on the razr plus. The new iPhone pros are too big for me and I haven't been able to use with one had like I do with the 13 mini and razr plus external screen especially if you are like me who hates having popsockets or phone holders on my phones. The only reason that would make me upgrade to the new pros is the camera which i rarely use except for taking pictures of notes for school or selfies with friends and family when going out which my phones do a good enough job with that.
Tried quite a few phones this year but the Sasmung S23 Ultra is the one that I liked the best, works the best and the one I'm using as main phone.
Do love the quality of these videos. Crystal clear and enjoyable watch, thanks!
Chose the Pixel 8 and so far I'm very happy with it, I love the software (even in Romania, with only about a quarter of the ai stuff), runs everything I need it to run, not much else to say...
This video is so fun to watch! I am glad that there are variety of phones to choose from(saving & hopefully I am able to get myself one of the phones from this video by the end of 2024). I just subscribed. Sadly I just found your channel just now. Hope to see more in the future :D
Many iPhones and many.... OnePluses 😂😂
Kudos to Saf for bringing the top creators together in a single video every year!!
I'm with mkbhd on this one I've been rocking the 15 pro max since release i just picked up the pixel 8 pro about 3 days in so far and i love it finally google got it right in the battery department which is what pixels were lacking recently. I love how it feels on the hand. Not a fan of the curve displays reason why i skipped on the 7 pro and s23 ultra. But so far i haven't found any issues that have made me regret going with the pixel the cameras are amazing the video recording is on par with top tier phones and the software experience has been smooth it's very easy to get familiar with the software. Samsung just has to many options to change just about everything about the phone nothing wrong with that but at times it can be confusing and for people who aren't tech savvy it can be discouraging not knowing what you're looking at.
Where's Flossy?
Was not expecting to see SOOO many people loving on the Oneplus Open. That's a HUGE win for foldables!!!
S21 ultra for me since last year August ❤battery still good still has a very capable camera system featuring 10x tele 🔥 💪
I upgraded from the S21 Ultra to the S23 Ultra, and I regret it every time I use the main camera. The new 200 MP camera is just plain worse, and Samsung hasn't fixed anything since it's launch as far as its performance goes. Any improvement that you're seeing on these channels is from AI figuring out how to fix it. When the AI doesn't know what to do, the image quality is awful. DON'T UPGRADE!
@StarFissure thats worrying, i just bought my s23 Ultra in a sale but its my first Ultra, switching from just a base s21 should still be miles better in all areas.
Same to since 2years incredible
@@StarFissurestop it, S23 Ultra owned S21 Ultra big time. You're just a plain noob. Even photographers S23 Ultra is their main phone device. S21 Ultra is great but that just it.
@StarFissure thanks for the heads-up, I'm probably gonna put a new battery as everything else is still working fine. I felt the upgrade of the S21U coming from S9+... I wouldn't recommend anyone to upgrade if they still own note 10 plus and upwards.
Just got my 15pro after all the waiting for the notch to “go” away and the usb-c to come. First time on ios. I miss the openness of android though. The smoothness on the 15pro is the most noticeable. Let’s see how it holds up.
Incredible video and compilation yet again! I personally after much consideration from all fronts I went with the s24 plus this year, holy shat it's almost a perfect phone in every way regard!
Wow, nice to see so many Foldables this year, and the OP Open at that!
I just switched to iphone full time for the first time, 15 pro, after i broke my xperia 1 iii cameras. lovely hardware but really looking forward to the additional customisation options apple may be forced to make in the future. Gonna try and repair my xperia and keep both devices in service in some capacity. top ios wishlist item: double / triple tap action button options, right now i have my sole action jumping into blackmagic camera.
Saf I love this series, and huge congrats on the well earned 2M!!!!
Nice one Saf, and nice to see 1 or 2 non iphone users. I get it, apple is a stapple, and also same time very boring. The non samsung folding phones looked interesting, love the 4 cameras on the s23 ultra. Wonder what 2024 has in store.
Main S23U. Alternate 15PM. Runner up Zenphone 10. Goos to see a lot of folds. Wish the Honor was available here in the US.
After coming from an older Samsung midrange phone which is the Samsung Galaxy A32 5g, I went for the Samsung Galaxy A54 this year a much needed upgrade on a budget😊. I am a Samsung fanboy, I also rock the Samsung Tab a8 lte and a Samsung Galaxy watch 4 40mm.
I had a fold 5 for about 2 weeks and went to the s23 ultra. No regrets. I was always a Note user , from the 2 through the 9. I decided to get a pixel 5 and used that up until I got the fold 5 earlier this year. I had a oneplus 5t in there at some point as well. I was a manager at Verizon so I was obsessed with trying the newest phones for a long time. My work phone is an iPhone 14 pro. Out of all of those phones. Past and present, the 23 ultra is by far the best overall phone I've ever had. I use the spen, that alone is huge for me. The screen, the battery, the performance, the cameras, the hardware. All of it comes together it what's a perfect package to me. I couldn't imagine my only phone being an iPhone. It's fun to have one has a secondary phone. But I couldn't go to only having an IPhone. Not after having the different options and functionality an android provides after all this time. It's crazy to me how many youtubers pick the iPhone still.
mkbhd made this two phone trend popular i.e 1 iPhone 1 android, crazy the influence he has
using the pixel fold out of ALL the folding ones is crazy
Note 9 launch edition for nearly 6 year as all of the new ones got a hole or retrd island which I'm not interested in at all. Surprisingly everything is original, even the battery holds up unexpectedly well.

One thing I'd like to ask is that, where's ROG phones headed, because they were the main reason who influenced Qualcomm to make the PLUS series Processors i.e. 855+ when they launched ROG Phone 2, and then 888+ and 8+ Gen 1 which Qualcomm did on their own, even if we buy the latest 18 GB ram ROG Phone 7 PLUS/PRO whichever is higher, they do not give constant 90 FPS or higher than 70 FPS like the iPhones do, I'm not an iPhone fan but, there's something serios to be considered.

I wish you good luck and success always.
I hope there will come a day when all my phones can be linked and used by one number so I can pick up any of my old ones to use each day.I tend to keep them as each feels different but good in my hands and I use them till they are no longer supported.
As always, great and fun content from SuperSaf
Congrats on 2million 🎉, great video btw
Upgarded from Z fold 4 to Oneplus open, The best thing I have ever did!!!!!!!!!!
Where is Linus and his LG Wing?
Just got a pixel 8 pro 256gb with O2 for literally half the equivalent iPhone pro max. People forget that for those of us who pay via contract the iPhone is almost always the most expensive option by a long way. So far Im loving it, I'm not a Mac user and all of my group chats are on WhatsApp so none of that's an issue and the camera is 95% as good for like I said way less outlay. 👍🏻
which smartphones de we actually use? I think some of them missed the question, it's not which is the best of the year. 😅
