Welcome to your English slang phrases lesson with Miss Lucy. Today she will be teaching your some words and phrases that are used in the United Kingdom typically. She will also help you with pronunciation and spelling if needed.
On another note, a lot of you have been reaching out to me for advice on how to handle depression and anxiety. I'd recommend trying an online counseling session (which is so convenient) with BetterHelp: www.tryonlinetherapy.com/crea... (let me know how you get on!)

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, and is a sensation felt when listening to particular sounds or voices. ASMR is designed to people relax and sleep. Role plays should not be taken as real advice where medical or psychological advice is given. My videos are designed purely for relaxation, which I hope you enjoy.

  • ❤️Leave a comment 'HELL YES' if you want to see more from Miss Lucy! Also on a side note if you're struggling at the moment, I'd really try this, it's a great alternative to in person therapy, and can help with anxiety and more www.tryonlinetherapy.com/creativecalm (stay well, and Happy International Women's Day!)❤️

    • Creative Calm ASMR Happy International Women's Day - women are smart, women are strong, women are beautiful. I picked my strongest female cosplay because it seemed appropriate for the day. Womsn follow your heart regardless of consequences. Be a hero and a protagonist - even if it's just being one in your own life.

  • I think for "Bob's your uncle" (incase anyone actually wants to learn with your tingles) - its usually used when explaining a task or giving a set of instructions. For example: "You go up the road, turn left at the lights and Bobs your uncle - you're there". Its not usually used as an exclamation of completion like "Et Voila!". Thanks for passing on our endearing vernacular though Lucy.

    • It can be used it many ways, including for example if you finished putting together some flat pack furnisher, you may say something like ‘there you go, bobs your uncle, told you it would be easy!’.

  • Fun fact: we also use "on a bender" in this part of Canada, only here we use it to mean a marathon of several consecutive days of drinking. An Eastern Canadian bender has to be at least three days of drinking in a row.

  • I've noticed one interesting thing concerning to difference between English and American pronunciation in asmr videos.Daily speaking language with the American accent sounds more pleasnt by ear, than English accent, but in asmr videos that were made by englismen, especially from London, pronunciation seems softer and more attractive by ear in my opinion.... Sooooo,perfect....loooovely)
