    • @@davidpeterson725 He had a 27.1% completion percentage on throw outside the numbers in college. That ranked 48th in the nation. His footwork is also a mess right now, so that will need to be addressed. He's also slow when it comes to progressing through his reads and tends to scramble out of clean pockets rather than continue going through his reads. I'm not saying he has no chance to be a good NFL QB. He's just not as talented as the top 3 guys.

  • I’m no Sam Darnold fan especially after seeing him on “Soul and Science” (SAS) with Trent Dilfer. From memory he had a 54 MPH ball speed and a 0.44 Load-to-Release (LTR). I can’t remember his Load-to-Arrival (LTA) time. But Josh Allen was on the same episode and Josh obviously just blew Sam out of the water with a 0.38 LTR and 62 MPH right with a 59 running to Josh’s LEFT which is insane. I mean, Josh throws 10 percent better to his weak side than the average QB to the strong. But I like McCarthy better than Drake Maye. Without having numbers I think McCarthy’s LTR is quicker than Drake’s. Drake throws an accurate deep ball but I like JJ better on intermediate throws that have to get out and get there in a hurry.

    • Darnold's fastball tops out at 54mph? Doesn't sound right at all. I've watched some film of Darnold. I've seen him throw flat passes forty yards.

  • He’ll have a better career than Caleb Williams. Williams might be a great athlete, but he’s shown that he’s a me first guy who cracks under pressure plus the fact he’s going to the bears where QBs go to die. He’s gonna be a bust.

    @PatrickForrest-pv4wv@PatrickForrest-pv4wv10 күн бұрын
  • The argument of, 'Well Harbaugh isn't taking McCarthy in the draft so he must not have that much value in him' is a bit dim. It's not like they went for Caleb Williams or anyone else for that matter. You can still think the guy is the number 1 pick and have the understanding that a seasoned vet who is good is already on you're team. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.
