Also, after Michigan lost to Wisconsin 49-11 in 2020 J.J. (who was at the game on his own dime) sent a tweet to the Michigan fan base telling them to take three breaths and have faith. Faith that everyone involved with Michigan football is doing everything possible to become great.

Kid is a warrior and his team fights for him……he didn’t throw a lot because Harbaugh is classic ground and pound time of possession guy. Don’t let that fool you, kid can flat out throw like a mad man…..which scares the hell out of me.

All of his stats are from quarters 1-3 too. Michigan was always ahead by so much that they pulled him early consistently.

I am an Eagles fan, but I did think of Brady when he said I want to learn everybody’s names on the team. He seems to have poise, which was one of Brady’s best traits…him having hockey as a true love-to me in cherry on top if you live in Minnesota as well.

There's a reason why they were run first at Michigan, it's because he's not capable. Coach knows that .... everyone knows it besides for Minnesotas desperate ass. And unfortunately....stats equate to wins . This is the NFL not college where you play 4-5 fluff games a season. QBs who struggle to throw 200 yards a game don't do well in the NFL.
JJ is gonna thrive in that Vikings offense. Jefferson, Addison, TJ, Jones, Good OLine.

Truly glad to see people appreciating what UM fans have been saying for the past year. Criminally underrated and doubted because of his teams system, but a baller and leader in the truest since. A truly special individual with mental AND physical skillsets that make him truly exciting to project what he might become. As a UM and Lions fan I’m excited I’ll get to watch him often and happy he went to such a good situation, even if it makes me a little nervous!

JJ McCarthy is literally the younger version of Jim Harbaugh when it comes to the competitivness, the confidence, humility and leadership. As a Titans fan, i will be rooting for the Vikings until we meet in New Orleans for the Super Bowl 😏

To be fair,I don't want to see him start this first year. Behind that o line,he's gonna get smoked alot. Give him a year and hopefully kwesi and Kevin are smart enough to realize they need to invest big in the o line. As it sits they need a left guard and center possibly a right but see how engram does this year. Don't do what they did to kirk and don't put the kid in behind scrubs right away to get killed.

McCarthy sounds genuinely stoked about Minnesota, not even just being a part of the Vikings organization which is seen as one of the best in the NFL, but he seems like he wants to be here in MN.
I'm impressed with his personality, I think he has a great attitude and really has his head screwed on straight, which is an often overlooked trait.
This fan base feels unified. What an offseason.

Wow. Sounds like a winner. The more and more I see, the more impressed I am. Even the game film made him look better a little than just watching him play. Sounds like he has a great mindset. I’ll have to watch close now to see if he has that QB “it” factor. Where they see the whole game in slow motion almost. I like what the Vikings are and have been doing.
I think I speak for most to all Michigan fans when I say we wanted to see JJ land somewhere he can truly succeed I personally feel like Kevin Oconnel is a great fit and they’ll have a good coach qb relationship
He just seems soo happy to be here. That's enough to make me feel somewhat confident all summer. Guy is a winner and we have a good receiving and running back core. Not to mention 2 stud tackles to protect him. May not start day 1 but we have the coach to help em out. Not thinking too negatively about a guy that's pumped to be here.

The maturity of this young man, makes him one of the QBs in the draft with the most potential for success. going to be interesting to see his ability to get in day one and play.
People are constantly complaining that JJ hasnt done too much with his arm..... with Blake Corum on his team, the all time Michigan leader for touchdowns, and most in a season with 27, and guess what JJ did? Played smart with the ball, made great adjustments in reaction to the D, made all of the critical passes, including many on the run, also he proved he can run the ball and be tough. He was just a great all around leader, and clearly he knows how to win games, and play with the advantages he has, he's 63-3 afterall.
What an amazing interview. That kid is calm, confident and intelligent. Definitely important traits for a QB. Really excited to see what he has to offer.
