No one in living memory has seen undisputed champions in all weight classes at the same time. I would like anyone to show me when they saw one champ per weight class or the eight traditional weight classes. Split belts have been in boxing longer than it wasn’t.

  • You seemed to have skipped past one of the most important fights of his career, his loss to Mike Watson. Benn described the loss as being taken to school. That was the fight where Benn learned the difference between knocking out average fighters and what it takes to compete at the highest level. The lessons Benn took from that fight changed him from a reckless knockout artist to a world class boxer.

It was never a problem though because the belts were almost always unified. In the 70s, King realized you could make more money segregating the belts. Suddenly it became common to split the championship belts. That "innovation" was lead by King. He then started backing the IBF abd paying fir rankings. The mess boxing is in today is in large part the legacy of Don King.

I imagine most people are forced into a belief in a god like taken to a church or mosque as a child then as you grow you know no different. I wonder how many believers there would be in the world if it were not forced on children? Probably alot less. Surely if there was a god the biggest thing thing he would do would be to present himself in some way to all us doubters and say" surprise"? I won't hold my breath. I remember as a small child my disgusting mother was a prostitute and used to leave me for days all alone with no food. It went on for years. • @@DarkSideOfTheBrightSide Well if you look at each of the fighters mentioned they all brought something different to the table,i feel the only 2-3 middleweights of this era that would of survived 12 rounds with alot of these fighters are probably,GGG,BJS and Canelo,But one fighter that could of beat alot of these fighters was Dmitry Pirog because he had a style that mirrors alot of these fighters combined,but who knows it would of been a great fight every week with the promotional power boxing has now....Bless

    @KuttyJoe@KuttyJoe4 жыл бұрын
    • KuttyJoe Absolutely nothing like Tyson, Mike used the gloves high peek a boo style that was schooled into him by Cus, and then unleashed awesome punches particularly the left hook. Benn was a slugger, who knew his power could overcome. I knew Watson would beat him, I knew Eubank would beat him, but he matured into a better boxer and the defeat of G-man was one of the greatest performances of any British boxers EVER.
