I feel like Lomachenko's outing with Lopez almost deserves to be on here. Injured or not, Loma lost himself that fight by being so incredibly passive in the first 7 rounds.
@zacharycoulson34823 жыл бұрын
I don't think that it was intentional though. I remembered seeing him attempt to engage, but Lopez punished him for it and was more willing to exchange. Which makes sense considering he's the larger fighter with more K.O. power. Loma would enter, Lopez would step left cut him off and send his right into Loma's body. I love Loma but Lopez fought the perfect fight against him.
@legin7773 жыл бұрын
@@legin777 Loma didn’t even give 50% in the first 6 rounds and you can’t say otherwise. He went out guns blazing against Linares who’s also big and could knock you out. Also a perfect fight doesn’t leave question and legends saying the outcome was different does it?

Man the way golota loads up on those vicious nut shots combos cracks me up everytime! And the look on bowe's face after he drops is so priceless! Like, "why man?"
1 egg cracked in the first match 5 month later he came back to finish the job

I laugh my ass off when I seen that 😂 they wanted the old timer dead
I remember watching that Bowe-Golota fight live when I was a kid. Even then, what it looked to me was Golota was probably paid to take a L and chose to get disqualified rather than lose a decision or KO, Bowe was 2 steps behind the whole fight. Was laughing my ass off the whole time, that ish was goofy but the riot was nasty.
I'm gonna use "that ish was goofy but the riot was nasty" now thank you

Long time ago I watched a video in which Andrew Golato's coach put boxing shorts on a heavy bag just to make him practice not to hit in the groin. It was a very unusual but funny video.
Can't seem to find video sounds funny to
I swear I have seen the same video. It was a whole video on the career of Golota, at least thats where I saw it.
Golota was interviewed by a talk show about the ball shots. He said Riddick shorts were high and his crotch was sticking out at him, thats why he did it.
@Johnng Fred thank ya I'll go look again lol
@@tylerbrass4002 I remember that video too
Golota's prodigious athletic talent was inversely correlated with his mental strength.
Bruh... I read that as Goliath. 🤦🏽
Who knows how history would have panned out if he was mentally okay he had a lot of talent
Not sure if youre aware he was involved with a mafia back in Poland (back in the 90s, if you heard what happened with Russia after the soviet union fell you can imagine what was going on), and its pretty much known there he threw a lot of matches for his bosses.
@@aw2584 It was obvious honestly.
@@aw2584 the crime spike after the Collapse was fucking horrifying
Its hard to say, in Poland we love Gołota for what he have done for fighting sports in Poland. He was fast, powerfull and had great power but he was like kid traped in an adult body. U can see hem getting frustrated easly during the fights and i think that that's why he was aiming for the balls.
It's a shame Golota got disqualified in those fight with Bowe. He had real talent and could have won both fights. Some say there may have been pressure to lose from unsavory characters. I don't know but he was a good boxer.
@@olliefoxx7165yeah he definitely connected to the mob
@@poindextertunes true, he fled poland to avoid going to jail cos he got into a bar fight
is Golota mentally challenged?
Audley Harrison actually displayed 1000+IQ when he fought Haye His strategy was to make Haye so bored that he collapsed and was counted out by the ref😂
It was clearly a fix, there's no way it wasn't lol
It was a pay day agreement..I reckon Harrison knew his chin weren't up to world pro level and Haye thought he'd give his mate a big pay day before he got found out
Nah. He merely followed the script for Fight Night Champion Story Mode Isaac Frost Rounds 1 to 3 and got beat. Sadly, real life aint got no quicksaves nor continues.
He was going for the Homer Simpson boxing strategy
Oscar is a clown man, he didn't even try to ko him. Imagine paying for the fight to see the fighter run for 7 rounds lol.
He's a decent boxer, he just got cocky.
You ever pay for a mayweather fight?
He needed to save his brain so he could throw it away with coke after retirement

@@sam.prochaska ahhh, a dana white fan i see XD good taste
Golota was a hard punisher: boxers in the 90s entering a match with Golota knew that:"Either you lose or you get evirated"

To me that's nothing compared to Miller being handed a boxing career and failing the drug test... Handed it again and failed another drug test. Negative IQ right there
That was just an excuse though, no way a top level athlete of his stature gassed out from wearing that for 15-20 minutes

Mayorga putting his hands down against Tito even in a loss is still one of my favorite boxing moments ever. Scratch that, Ricardos whole career was my favorite boxing moment.
Tito was a very powerful puncher and Mayorga still took every single one of those punches like it was nothing. If he didn’t smoke during his career he could’ve been a much better boxer
Ricardo fought every top name of the time and he gave it everything every time ....he's fallen on hard times lately but rewatching his fights reminds you how special he was .. his fights

That dude punching the guy in the balls was hillarious.
Not for Bowe. It spawned many memes about Gołota in Poland. But there was always something seriously off about this guy. 90s Poland was pretty rough, so who knows what he was actually doing behind the scenes.

@Dylan Scott pretty much, just a little obsessed with dates. Plus, vids are recommended to me and dates help me see that I’ve seen the vid before.
I love everything about both your channels. Big, big props to everyone involved, your content is masterful.
I feel like Lomachenko's outing with Lopez almost deserves to be on here. Injured or not, Loma lost himself that fight by being so incredibly passive in the first 7 rounds.
@@legin777 Loma didn’t even give 50% in the first 6 rounds and you can’t say otherwise. He went out guns blazing against Linares who’s also big and could knock you out. Also a perfect fight doesn’t leave question and legends saying the outcome was different does it?

Honestly one of my favorite channels across all media. Such great work.
I'm glad you mentioned Bruno vs Lewis at the end, that fight was far closer than people seem to remember, Bruno was well in that fight before he got caught with a nasty left hook as he backed off, and Lewis was being a rather naughty boy with his lead hand, the ref was close to deducting points for it I'm sure when he knocked Bruno out.
It’s clear that De La Hoya saw Rocky II where Apollo had the fight in the bag and his trainer said to just run the clock out and win but Apollo went for the KO and lost and De La Hoya really took that to heart in the Trinidad fight.

I remember Golotas fights with Bowe as it was yesterday... He was brilliantly skilled boxer but his head...
Lots of gambling money is involved… maybe he had to lose and would rather be disqualified than take an L on demand.
@Verre Bois Definitely a fixed result

Should've added Lomachenko for throwing less than 10 punches a round for the first half of his fight with Teofimo Lopez
That was thanks to teo's gameplan and boxing more than Loma fighting poorly
