I have watched many DIY bars, and have built one inside and outside our home. You and your son have by far built the strongest beefiest bar yet. 😁 if you ever have an earth quake, tornado, or hurricane, you sit under that bar and you will be just fine. 😁 wasn’t sure about the painting of it, but when it was all said and done, it looks great. Thanks for taking the time to video and share with all of us. I sent this to a buddy that is playing with the idea of a poolside bar.

Nice! May I recommended a dusk mask brother. Especially with the pressure treated lumber. That stuff is pretty nasty on the breathing bags.

Lack of gutters. That area used to be the driveway so the builder did not provide them there, but I moved the fence back to expand the back yard into the driveway and make room for the grill area. Gutters are next in the agenda… literally in my home depo cart now.

No, I customize the bar top for what would fit in the space I had, and then build the rest to fit underneath the bar top. I can take some measurements and post them in a day or two.

If I recall around $350 for the lumber and screws, a little more for paint. It was at lumber‘s peak cost, so it may be less now.
