Cool build. As a woodworker myself for 20+ years, good job. My favorite part is working in shorts while wearing boots and using a router. 😅 Been there. Bringing some trees home is the fun part. Great job.
Thanks! I can’t wait for the shorts and boots weather again!
I absolutely love this build! It would be awesome if you made a separate set of digital plans making the bar 3 feet longer.
Thanks! I wish I could customize plans.. I outsource them so unfortunately I can’t do much for custom sizes. You may be able to extend all the measurements in the plans by 36” to get a rough idea 👍🏻
Very clear and easy to follow!
Great build. Thanks for the video. I'm glad to have found your channel.
Thanks Matthew!
Awesome build!
Thanks Bucky!
This was an awesome video. I really liked the “oops” that were included. Those are very good points to consider when I finally build my bar.
Glad the video was helpful! Thanks for watching and good luck with your build!
Yeah that was a great build mate, and build to last that’s for sure. Enjoyed it!!
Appreciate the feedback Harki! 👍🏼🤜🏼
Awesome build!! I’m designing mine now and loved the tips! Appreciate the video!

Thanks Richard!
love the honey and walnut stain, looks awesome also. I love the way you cut the front corners and added 2x4 trim. The final product came out awesome🍺cheers. I liked and subscribed!
Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
Very beautiful man! I’ve been browsing around for some inspiration and this was perfect for some ideas, tips and tricks! Thanks!
Thanks for watching and glad it was useful!
You may want to put a comma after beautiful. Lol
Like the Footrest !!!!
Thanks David!
This is a beautiful bar! We are in the process of finishing our basement and thinking about building our own out of pine from our property. Thank you for sharing!😊
Thanks for watching and feedback! Building something from your own timber would be so cool! 👍🏻
Bravo simply par excellence!
Thanks!
Thanks man, I'm building a bar for the basement. It's going well. Highly satisfied
Nice! Best of luck with finishing it up!
Great work and inspo, cheers
Thanks! 👍🏻
Beautiful. I need this for my basement. Wanna come build one for me in Philadelphia? Lol. Dead serious. IT is awesome!
I have some union carpenter friends who I may hire to come over on weekends with me and help me do something just like this. Man you are talented. It is great!
Thanks Tommy! I’m about 10 hours away from Philly so I might not be able to make it anytime soon 😆 thanks for the feedback and I hope your union carpenter friends can be talked into the job!
Mmc I need this bar for my man cave how much
I like your approach to build
Thanks Garvin!
Really nice job
Thanks Tom!
Brillant video thanks for sharing will use this to build my new bar in my cabin in UK .. 😊

Beautiful job. I will try my hand at making, but I am a try beginner and don't have a lot of tools. 😊
Thanks! Good luck with the build!
Very Nice

Nice job bud!!
Thanks!
As I am slowly building my corner bar I can see the quality difference between yours and mine lol great video!
Thanks for watching, good luck finishing up your bar!
You explain everything so well! Thank you for your tutorial, it will help me immensely!
You’re welcome and thanks for your feedback! Good luck with your build!
I've never seen the Z clips before. Seem pretty nice. Great video. Thinking about making my own bar in an opportune space in our basement. Thanks for showing the process (and mistakes)
Z-clips are by far my preference to attach tops/shelves. Good luck with your build if you go for it and thanks for watching!
Anyone have the dimensions of the bar?
Hello, he mentions in earlier comments that the bar’s dimensions were custom for the person that was intended to, and that ended up around 42” tall, 54” long and 20” deep. I’m not sure if the 54”long and 20” deep were the measurements of the finished top or the base. Looks like the base is about 48-50” inches since he said that the distance of the 2x4s in the base are around 16” apart as standard wall construction. Hope this helps, I’m trying to figure this out myself, looks like today is the day I build this for my boyfriend
Exelent job
Thanks Carlos!
I'll build this beautiful bar and I hope finish well.
Awesome, good luck with the build!
😀Awesome!!
Thanks!
My father built a bar for the house when I was a kid. I've had that bar in my basement for the last 10 years now. I would love to have a reason to build one someday, but there's no way I'm getting rid of my dad's to do that. Another great vid🍻
Thanks buddy! You could always make some for a friend/neighbor/family/etc so you can give it a go!
@@mmcc_woodshop6288 I mentioned your vid, and my "urge" to build a bar. She said maybe build one for the back deck in the spring 😁 If I do I'll take a pic for you. Would give me a reason to go back on instagram. I got bored of it and haven't been on there in about a year now. Felt like I was seeing nothing but adds🙄
Nice! An outdoor bar would be sweet! And I hear ya there - I’m not active on IG very much anymore either - KZhead is where it’s at 🤟🏻
This turned out great, excellent work. Do you have a PDF of the plans?
Thanks Gerry, I don’t have plans available at this time unfortunately

Hello Mr Matt awesome job exactly what i need can you please share a list of wood material and qty that you used to make this bar please!!!
Hey Diego, thanks! This was somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 2x4s, 20ish tongue and groove 8’ boards, and 6 2x10x8s. You may have some leftover cutoffs from all that, and I would have used 2x10x10s instead if they had them
I now have plans for this available at the following link! mmccwoodshop.etsy.com/listing/1652222408
First off great work on that bar! Do you ever use minwax wood pre-conditionner? If so what are your thoughts is it worth using?
Thanks! Yes, I do sometime. It definitely helps with a smoother color and keeps the blotchiness down 👍🏻
Great video. I will use this for my pub shed. Regarding the mistake, wouldn't it have been easier just to remove the middle board that was preventing you from dropping down the shelf and then screwing it back on, rather than removing all the tongue and groove boards? I'm sure I'm missing something.
Thanks for watching! Yes, that would’ve worked as well - there’s really no specific reason I didn’t do that, I guess popping the tongue & groove boards off was just the first thing I thought of 👍🏻
got the dimensions you used , looks nice
Thanks for watching!
@@mmcc_woodshop6288 do you have the dimensions? Thanks

awesome build! Really enjoyed the video! About how many hours did this build take to complete, and what was the total material cost?
Thanks! Probably around 10-15hrs or so, roughly $250ish in materials. The black iron pipe gets expensive very quickly though!
Nice build. I’m building a bar soon. How far off the ground is the foot rest?
Thanks! Standard height is about 6” off the ground 👍🏻
Hello MMCC_Woodshop, do you remember the length of the 1” black pipe you used? Looks like 2 of the 24” on the front and for the sides maybe a 12”?
I believe those are correct. If you made it longer or wider you could always adjust the pipe measurements as well 👍🏻
I thought the color seemed a bit too dark but like what you did. You took some dead space gave you your own room and left enough on the other side of the wall. You could probably do an entire video on how you handle the smoke.
Thanks josh! Appreciate the feedback 👍🏻
What was the length of your wings? Also, any advice on what type of wood would be good for outdoor use?
I can’t remember dimensions unfortunately as I was just cutting everything to length as I was going along. Teak wood is probably the best for outdoors, but very expensive. Treated pine will work fine as well 👍🏻

Question: why didn't you notch out the shelves to fit around the studs? Wouldn't they lay flat against the front end of the bar
That would’ve worked, I just had it in my mind already to do it this way I suppose
Very nice build. Do you have the dimensions for this build?
Thanks Eugene! Honestly I was completely winging this build and didn’t record any dimensions.

How many two by fours did you use? Approximately? I am going to do this build this weekend. Thank you.
Hey Daniel, I believe I used about 8. Good luck with your build!

Question: do u have the dimensions of the bar? I can’t find them anywhere on your pages. Just need to know the amount of space I need before I purchase the plans as I’m aiming for a tight space in the basement I’m guessing I’ll need a 5ftx3ft space but it’s just a guess.
Rough dimensions are 42” tall, 66” long, 30” wide. The plans can always be manipulated to make the bar shorter or longer
Maybe you could have put the bar on it's side and put the bottom shelf in from the bottom instead of the top? No need to take off tongue groove? I've made tons of errors and I'm always trying to figure out how to correct them.
That might’ve worked, I’m not sure if I thought to try that. I’m with you though, always trying to fix my errors 😆
I want one made
I wish I could ship them! There’s plans available with dimensions down in the comments if you decide to give it a shot for yourself!
For the Mistake, I’m guessing it wouldn’t have fit from bottom up in, as if you laid the entire bar on its back and came from what normally would of been the ground up in.
That might have worked - I didn't think to try it that way. At the time it seemed easier to just pop the tongue and groove panels on the side back off.
Great tutorial. Do you have a drawing of the design with any measurements for beginners?
Thanks Pavan! I don’t unfortunately, I was compelled winging this one
I now have plans for this available at the following link! mmccwoodshop.etsy.com/listing/1652222408
What was your framing height? Love it.
Thanks Tim! The height of the 2x4 frame before adding the top was right at 40".

1” 👍🏻
@@mmcc_woodshop6288 ok thanks replied right on time. Im at home depot now. Did you happen to get it from there and all you fittings are 1 inch right ?
I got everything from Lowe’s - there isn’t a Home Depot nearby. Yep, the fittings will need to be the same size as the pipe
What was the general cost of it?
Roughly $250 in materials
How much did this all cost?
Roughly $250-$300 in materials

Why does it look so short?
This was the size the recipients requested 🤷🏻♂️
Looks short
The dimensions were provided and made to size by the recipients of the bar 🤷🏻♂️ it ended up fitting well for the space that they had. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
in your description you tell everyone where to buy tools all the way down to the GoPro. But you never told anyone the size of the bar.
I didn’t record dimensions, but the pipe is 1” black iron. Pretty sure the two main pieces across the front are 24” in length connected with a T and then two 90degree elbows on the sides.

@@mmcc_woodshop6288 Cool. I already copied your design. Kinda. But things got put on hold because the RV park I wanted to buy would not qualify for a business loan.
