Anyone using wood. Do research on Duratex. Especially if your near the coast or do any fording. Though it has a Rhino liner finish. It can be covered & used solely as a waterproofing.
From 1 Gil-Billie to another , nice video - I like the build, well done .
Awesome. Just watched whole series. I have just picked up a M101.
Nice! Good luck, let me know if you have any questions.
Whattaya sick in the head boy..what's up with that clean garage? 😂..Great job she's a little beast..looks good matching the Toy too - I like it 😎👍
awsome job
Strong work! It is exciting to see a trailer like yours come together as some inspiration/motivation for my own build in the future. Thanks for posting!
Thanks, appreciate that!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 넌 최고야 👍👍👍👍
It's a hard work 🔧🪛🔩🪝🧰 But a very good job you are is doing a great thing 🙋
Now that’s impressive, really nice job hope you enjoy
Thanks! We’ve had a great time with it.
You are awesome! Great job!
Thanks!
Привет. Классный прицеп получился👍
Thanks!
Nice build. I like the double decker drawer/sink set up. I hope you have many a great trip with it.
Great Video!Just a safety note .You placed the load on the weaker side of cinder blocks which could result in them crumbling/collapsing .”Holes”of block should face up and down.Stay safe!
Молодец классно получилось!!!
im most impressed by that perfect circle with a dremel for the water line. well done overall!
Haha, yeah the hole saw just didn’t want to work for me that day.
You are either active duty or have served a time or two based on the PT Shirt. I was looking into getting an M1101/02 Trailer and turning it into an Overland trailer myself. Now that this video is out, I gotta get me a trailer and conver it.
Yessir. Long time ago I served in the Army. Get one and convert it, it was a blast.
Nice work!!
Great video! My son's and I are working on a very similar project. Our base trailer is a M101A3 and we've just completed an axel swap and replaced the pintle/lunette with a standard bulldog collar hitch. Keep up the great content. Btw - looks like we are both in AZ.
Excellent 💯🎯
Fantastic!
Nice job Army
Thanks!
Awesome job!
Thanks!
nothing like thate @ will done ❤
Awesome 👌
them blocks your using to support your jack stands would be a lot more stable and stronger if you had stacked them with the holes up
de todo mi gusto, felicitaciones por el gran trabajo que hiciste. solo agregaría una rueda de repuesto al carro.
Thanks, the spare is on the truck already.
Niiiicee Viieeeewww. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 10:24 I did not say aaaanyyythiiing. 😇 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well I did say you’re welcome in the video😉😂
@@CallIntheCountry 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I saaw. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks! Yeah, I had so many people ask after I had tossed things if I still had them. Had no idea there was a demand for them.
Loved it! Been waiting to see the final product for over a year! Are you planning on doing a walk around of your rig? I have an M101a2 that I also turned into an overland trailer a couple years ago. Was thinking of doing a YT video on it as well.
Thanks Kenneth, sorry for the delay. Planning to get the final walk around footage done this weekend on our camping trip. I’ll cover all the things I changed and may change down the road.
Seriously awesome job. I an just about to pick up an M105 in two weeks and I was just looking at Timbren suspension and wondered if it would mount up. I see it does. Thank you. Would you mind sharing the hubs you went with? Thanks for the share and all the hard work.
Nice build, can you do a final walk around video and show it off?
It’s funny someone else just asked this too. I have tried a couple times to make a video and unfortunately both times the video quality was too poor to post. I’m working on it though.
Could you share pictures of the front tongue so I can see what you did and awesome build so awesome!!
What exactly are you looking to see more detail on? I made an entire video on the hitch itself which you can see here but let me know if you are still looking for something in particular. kzhead.info/sun/ksyblbp6bpaoZK8/bejne.html
@@CallIntheCountry perfect thank you! I'm going to extend mine 2 ft.
Awesome build!! Anything you would have done differently?
After using if for a few years I think I may change the battery system up a little to get more running watts for 110V appliances. 1000W would cover everything. I am also going to figure out a way to raise and lower the tent a few inches after getting to camp. Mounting it on the flat top does not allow much room to access the zippered cover. I also doubled the water tank and with 26 gallons have plenty for a long weekend.
💎💎💎
Thank you for the video, I have a similar setup on a M1102, I see you went for a Timbren suspension, can you tell me what weight capacity you used for your build? Great project!
Thanks! With everything loaded including water it’s right at 2500lbs. If I remember right Timbren recommends like 60 or 70% of theirs rating so the 3500lbs axels were perfect.
Hey great job man. Love the time and effort you put into this build. Just one question, how is that bed liner stuff you used? Any good? I want to paint my bumper on my truck with this stuff.
Thanks! The raptor liner has held up great. Three years of use and you wouldn’t know it.
@@CallIntheCountry Cool, I think I'll use the same stuff this summer. Cheers man. Much appreciated.
Love the independent suspension, great upgrade. How do you like it?
Love it. May upgrade the electrical but everything else is perfect I think.
May I ask what brand did you use for wheels or add link for purchase
Very heavy, id love to know thw final weight. Not a bad thing if you want a beefy trailer, but towing that around you would definitely feel it.
Fully loaded with water and the tent it’s 2400lbs.
I know you’ve said you’re still working on the final walk around, but what are your final thoughts? Worth it or no?
Yep, totally worth it. That said, if I had it to do again I think I’d do an enclosed trailer. The RTT takedown time is sometimes more that you want to deal with at the end of a trip.
Now that you’ve had it for a while how do you like it? Do you have an instagram of your adventures to see it in action?
I still love it! There’s been a few minor tweaks here and there but that was to be expected. I primarily do hunting videos but if you want to follow my instagram is callinthecountry just like the KZhead channel. I do plan to do an update video this summer of where it is now so stay tuned for that.
@@CallIntheCountry awesome! I just followed and subscribed so I’ll be watching for it. Thanks for the video! Excellent craftsmanship!
Great project. I want to build one now. May I ask, what model camera do you use and what editing software do you use. I want to start a antique tools restoration page and I love the time lapse format. It keeps my attention because the progress is so quick. Hope you can help me out with the camera model number. Thanks, John in Texas.
Most of this video was just shot on an old GoPro, maybe 5. The editing software was adobe premier pro but really any editing program will work to make a video like this.
@@CallIntheCountry Thanks a lot. Once again, I love the build.
Hi what is the tool that you used to un pin the bendy metal think it's called leaf spring
The leaf springs are just bolted on but because of how old the trailer was I had to use a grinder on some of them. Then I just punched the pins out with a big nail I had laying around.
Where’s the final video showing everything at normal speed? Great videos but no finished videos is a bummer.
I’ve recorded that video twice now. The first one my wife was tryin to hold my son and way too shaky and the second it was so windy you couldn’t hear anything I was saying. I’m trying, just need to get back out camping.
What axle setup you use part# and vender
Timbren Axle Part #ASR35HDS02. I went through etrailer I think.
Why do people leave the gap between the wood section and the bed - its on other trailers as well - is that storage or something else? Not animals or air flow?
I’m not sure what wood section you are referring to.
@@CallIntheCountry Sorry - the draws and the base (obviously not wood, my fault). And the bed referring to the pop-out tent. Basically the trailer and the canopy which is about a foot above it (painted black). Is it just to have a flat surface to throw stuff on?
@@samrolfe2563 I didn’t need any more storage so I felt enclosing the whole thing would be a waste and didn’t think it would look good. The platform is elevated to utilize the rtt as well as use as an elevated hunting platform. The flat base has been great for setting plates and all kinds of things on when camping and worked out perfect. I’m sure it helps on wind drag too.
I dont live too far from you. Would we be able to hook up one day for me to check the trailer out. Maybe bounce some ideas off of you?
I would love to pay you to modify my trailer the way you did to yours. I just picked up the same model. Let me know if this is something you’re interested in doing?
While flattered, one was enough for me. I’d be happy to help you with anything you have questions on though.
Tem tour ?
