Cylinder boring is a critical job because it brings the engine block back to life with straight and round holes. A true concentric bore minimizes ring flex as the piston moves up and down and is squarely aligned to the center of the bore and crankshaft.

These guys deserve a medal managing to do what they achieve with the equipment they have.
To all the bullies of these industrialists and those who are smart, you have to understand the purpose of broadcasting such clips, which is to show what these industrialists have in terms of skills despite the lack of capabilities and the lack of modern equipment !!!
Clueless as to their own grandparents working the same way.
Thank you. Some of these idiots here don’t understand.

Nothing is dead with these blokes they are amazing 👍.
For the tools they work with they do outstanding work 👏
I love seeing good workmanship anywhere!

@@tyronesmoke3102 Well if it would seize after 2 month I think the owner of the truck would not be very happy no matter the age of the truck. LOL
@@dtiydr Yea and that is why they would need to fix it and your opinion that they do not know what thet are doing is based on any logical argument... The guy is doing it for a long time and everyone in that area most likely respect him for his wirk->as he have clients->he would not have them without ability to actualy fox the engine->its not USA where you do not know the guy that is working on your car and he can be a complete idiot hired just day before and the owner of the shop is unaware jet how incopetent he is... To be honest,I use safety shoes at work, but in my house sandals will do,even if sometimes someting falls off my feet,no worries!
Fazem muito com o pouco recurso que tem, só falta capricho.
Quite a geometrically symmetrically executed job given the basic analogue equipment that they are in possession of. These guys ought to be teaching instrumentation and fabrication to apprentices on a good apprenticeship training programme in a good college designed for that purpose.
First time I ever saw these guys use any measuring tools like micrometers. Well, they kinda used them.
Check teaching films from the 1940s.
I guees it's the effort that counts 😉
I guess just for the camera.
No boredial gauges verniyar caliper country way of doing.
If the parts being measured are too big or too small, they get used anyway.

@3:05 why they cut the liner short?. Is that ok?.
У шестой гильзы увеличилась вероятность при перегреве оборваться по бурту или просесть... Поленились снять ТНВД, скорее всего масло каналы в блоке чистить не будут, в погоне за оперативностью работы и ресурсом!)

How menny a clearance and the lines?
Tienen gran habilidad y conocimientos, solo falta orden y limpieza
si claro!
Doesn't that metal pole they use to lift their block wreck the cross hatching? Do they require any special equipment to make the work area (and themselves too) a bit cleaner?
hi karen 😏
Good job
Big up to these guys, very methodical, where did you guys get that re-bore honing machine cool idea guys, keep up the methodical work
Closed down uk / us workshops.
stop sarcasm 😊
get in front of the camera with engine teared off and show them the methodical work
OSHA approved. Quality at its best. Sleghammer technicians.
those guys are beasts, that things heavier than you think.
Sleeves should always be a press fit then honed if need be for proper heat transfer
with cross hatch angle between 30 and 45 degrees
@@margarita8442 90 degree is close enough.
Grease between makes them slip in easier...
I curious to see how long the Epoxy they used for a press fit will last. Very crude but educational
Sleeves expand faster than the cast steel block. a transitional fit is perfect. That's how you prevent cracked blocks.
Браво майстори🤝👍
good job
Amazing broother
good work price on this job
best part is the motorcycle truck at the beginning
very good
I would plug the bolt holes in the head before re boring because it might be very hard to get shavings out and it might lead to head bolts to bottom out and cause insufficient head bolt torque. Seen it happening more than once.
Go over there and show them.
@@philweed1603 I agree. Show them how it's done.

Fino demais!
I understand the context with a poor country and limited equipment, but rebuilding an engine on a dirt floor? And what about the metal debris from boring and honing? It would seem to require a complete block cleaning of all the oil and water passages..... Credit to the re-builders with their limited resources, but ... dirt floor? Anyway, good job with minimal stuff.
They wash it before final assembly but yeah I don’t know why the idiots in our country always work on dirty mud floors!
Aw come on... he kicked the shavings off his foot when he had his sandal off... what more could you want?
Its just great...they have better practical hands on experience and skills than...just degree graduate mechanical engineer.
The only car I ever had with wet liners was a 1956 Standard Vanguard built like a tank would be a classic nowadays. Square Speedo and other instrumentation very small column change gear lever.

Sliding (and grease) rather than an interference fit for those liners raise thermal resistance between the hot liner and the cooler block causing local hot spots on the liner, ring binding and engine failure … just saying.
Да уж, технология просто поражает..
Что это за станок ,как называется?
THOSE PERSONS HAS A HIGH WILL POWER TO WORK A HARD JOBS
Can’t say I’ve ever seen a block sleeved to take a standard size liner before. Generally when the block won’t take the larger oversize liner available we toss the block in the scrap pile.
Mashallah nice
Shit i have a rock in my flipflop
1:34, no manchen, usen una barra más larga con eslabones soldados en los extremos y usen correas que pasen por la nuca y así se distribuirá el peso haciéndolo más fácil y seguro

I give that engine 2 weeks or less before it goes up in a blaze of chaos!
