I love how the moose mum turns it's head first to the left and then to the right to check if the cars stopped :)
Smarter than most humans
i noticed, in 1965, that most dogs and cats will look both ways before crossing the street. Frankie Chileman is right because some humans don't.
or to make sure there are no predators like bears around. That calf might only be a few hours old, easy pickens and so vulnerable.

@@howardbeatman2820 I don't know about that. One of my cats, who was dark gray, used to lie in the middle of our street. One of the nicknames we gave her was Speedbump. Fortunately, she was never hit.

Mum moose: Looked to her left then to the right slowly crossed the road. Came back and said hurry up kiddo we need to cross the road quickly. Baby moose: Mum I'm walking as fast as I can. This is all new to me. 🦌❤❤

They were so lucky to see that. Of course they stopped to watch and gave them time to cross. Who wouldn't?
Well, a lot of people wouldn't have. Lorry drivers on a time budget. And those who just don't care.... Here in Norway there's moose a plenty, and the roads are narrow and winding. In the winter there's a lot of accidents, where moose cross the roads, running right in front of cars.... My brother and I once had to back down a country lane, due to the fact that four young adult moose were lying down there ! They had probably filled up on cabbage and oats, in the fields on eighter side.... 😉

Он новорожденный, потому и так медленно шёл неокрепшими ножками. Но мама молодец, смотрела в оба, чтобы машины стояли и ждали, пока они перейдут дорогу. 👍
@@cristal6777 у нас под городом (Южное Подмосковье) нередко можно было видеть, как лосихи с лосятами переходят дорогу. Были и совсем еще небольшие лосята, светло-рыженькие. Но вот чтобы почти новорожденный, еще с трудом державшийся на ножках - такого не приходилось встречать.

I saw 2 lanes traffic on a secondary hwy stop to let a turtle cross, it took a long time but everyone displayed decency & patience

Ten years ago me and my wife went to Keystone ,Colorado to visit our son who used to leave there. One day we were walking in the moutains near by and were lucky to see mama goose and her big "baby ". We are from Belo Horizonte, Brasil...pure emotion.

Some of the Deer here in New Haven CT look both ways before crossing the road or they stand there until you have passed them. I gave her a wave and as i went slowly by, she waved back with her tail

Ce bébé est trop mignon, mais très jeune puisqu'il n'a peut-être que quelques heures d'existence et ne peut donc aller très vite, étant encore incertain sur ses jeunes pattes. Les automobilistes font comme il se doit preuve de patience et c'est bien. Longue et heureuse vie à ce petit et à sa mère.

@@tommorin6195 We aren't "fencing in" the wild - the point is to keep the wildlife from getting on the roads and give them an easy crossing across animal bridges. Also, the money and lives saved from fewer car crashes would offset the taxes spent. Maybe not completely, but enough that it's worth it.
