My Japanese mother owned her own restaurant. I lost her 13 years ago. She took all of her recipes with her when a brain aneurysm took her from us in a blink. Her food was how she expressed love. She grew up in war torn Japan; a poor and starving child. She'd tell me about her hunger pains and watching her emaciated mother give up her portions so she could have just a little bit more. Feeding people and having them leave her full and happy was her act of kindness. God, I miss her.
She sounded like a wonderful woman. 💕
What a kind woman
Sounds like a beautiful woman!
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful memory of your mother. God bless you and may you have peace.
May her soul rest in peace 💫
What I like about your channel is that there is natural sounds in the video. No music of any kind or any other sound that blocks the actual sounds. It let's you feel what is being cooked and enjoy the video.
I agree
Agreed with how it's filmed. It feels like you're there watching him.
Agreed
@@TheDarkLink7 that's the truth. I can almost smell it
@@shibosuru fuck almost. *I can smell it and all the other smells.*
There is something just so calming and soothing watching these food prep videos. And of course they give a hellacious appetite. I can't make it half way thru one of these without heading to the kitchen.
Wow the way he flipped the rice into the spatula to place it in the bowl 🥰 all of the tool you all use to have great technique is amazing, you all cook with endurance, patience, and love ❤️
Yeh that was so boss
What a slick way to get it out. Literally went "Niiiiiiiiccccee"
Fax!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@katemackenzy2504 nao sao panelas de aluminio
The way he filled the ladle with rice using just the Wok. Such beauty 😆
Right! Like a work of art!
@@melissajohnson2935 I read that as wok of art lol

Amazing to see how these guys work - without ridiculous music or poor commentary - thanks! I've been watching these types of videos for a while now, picking up tricks and tips along the way, working on my wok skills and I doubt whether I'll even have to go to a restaurant again! These videos are truly relevevationary and educational. Thank you for this well-made presentation! !
Almost therapeutic to watch. No distracting music. Just the beauty of cooking
Best kinda cooking show! No talking just cooking 🧑🍳 like my momma says “I can show you better than I can tell you “❤
Yes. My mom told me, "Just watch me."
That is what my uncle (who taught me a lot) used to say...'I can tell you how to take a motor apart and put it back together or but it's better if I show how to do it as you actually do it' !!! He was right !!
I haven't had the opportunity to have Japanese food, but, after seeing this video, I certainly would love to try some.
Video isn't even over, they're still prepping, and all I can think about is how yummy this is going to turn out 🤤
This is torture 😱

75% of cooking is prep work
All of the food you showed looks excellent. Talented chef.
Massive appreciation for the cook’s skills!
I just had breakfast but now I’m hungry again. I love rice and eggs. Restaurant workers just don’t get enough credit for how hard they work. A simple looking dish can be both complex and time consuming.
Restaurant aork was more respected when every family cooked daily meals at home from "scratch" & had some understanding that it was arduous labor.
The meticulous process and effort is amazing. Every detail is paid attention to. And thank you for not putting a distracting sound track on it! Fascinating!
Yea you think using bare hands to touch your food that your going to put in your mouth is meticulous too? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@timctone489 That is just silly. Are you telling me that when you make a sandwich at home you glove up?
@@timctone489 All the food is being heated up, this ain’t a cold dish. Obviously everything is meticulously cleaned (hence all the stainless), so it’s completely fine. As long as no one is sick and the food is being cooked it will be fine. I’d trust the hygiene of a Japanese restaurant over a standard American one any day 🤷🏽♀️
@@E4AdventureFilms your the silly one. Questioning me if i would glove up to make a sandwich at my own home. 🙄idiodacy at its best lol.
@@silentaria3241 hahaha i bet youll say your an american right? Smh🙄 I WOULD TRUST AMERICAN ANY DAY OVER A 3rd WORLD COUNTRY. PLEASE YOU THINK YOUR GOING TO LECTURE ME🥴🥴🥴
Minha comida favorita é asiatica, meu Deus água na boca 😍
Wow! He is an artist. I had no idea that much work went into making that. He is really talented.
Yes, he is.
Everything looks so delicious. The pot stickers are my absolute favorite! 🤤
Parece delicioso! 😋
Japanese chefs are so superior in my book! I'm from Brooklyn, NYC, have dinned in so many restaurants in NYC. They handle their food with so much respect! Very clean too! Thank you for sharing. 💘
Awesome cooking skills 😊and tasty food every time
Years and years of preparing these delicious meals, to me it looks like perfection.
Excellent video. There's something soothing about watching an expert at their craft, and when the expert is making food, it's even soothinger! Also, that man was working very hard to produce those prodigious amounts of different foods. I was trying to make my own dinner while watching and I had to keep stopping to see how he did certain things. Oh! And everything looked delicious.
Super impressed. One man prepping and cooking all that.
I wish I lived locally because it all looks delicious!
I learned something there, never watch someone cooking when your hungry! If I ever go to Japan, I want to go there, food looks delicious. 👍
One of my favorite. As children we lived in Fukuoka, we would routinely go to the Ginza and get a big bowl to share for less than $1USD. She's making Gyoza too. So good.😋
Agree 👍
Lol FUKuOKA what a name
@@J.4.C.K I'm Fukuokan and your comment made me angry😡
Cooking is a form of art. And Japan have many great artists.
I doubt even uncle Roger will anything bad to say here... Everything is looks sooo delicious 😋
I was about to say that
Omg I was about to post somone should send it to him for some great reviews:)
He will target everything that isn't related to the food, like the sink or something
Happened to other KZheadrs lmao
he'll probably talk abt the fresh rice but thats it
Made with love and dedication. Looks delicious. But I was also surprised the portions are so big that you can share it with your friend
Wow all those dishes he made so fast like nothing , but when it came to that chicken I wanted to take a big bite , the food looks so good !!!
and so easy to make too. just chicken, egg and cornstarch. then double fried
This makes me appreciate these kind of places so much.
there's some new things i saw in this video that i didnt know, the cabbage squeeze water thing, the rice toss technique using the wok and ladle is superb too. the dumplings looks so good.
If they didn’t squeeze the water out the gyoza would be so watery lol
Everything looks so delicious. I see alot of technique that goes into each thing being made. Great video. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Wow. So much everything in one go. I wish I had such passion & skill for cooking

I started watching this last night, and I'm back to finish it. I'm 10:22 in, and the level of preparation involved her, and the technique, is blowing my mind. I can only imagine how wonderfully delicious this food must me. Massive respect...
Love the content. I would love a list of ingredients displayed for each dish as you show them.
Wow, did not know that restaurants were considered "street" food in Japan. I thought it was only yatai. Learn something new every day.
I want to try all of it. It looks so good!

I appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment and the chefs!
don't think you'll ever find Gordon Ramsey running through a Japanese kitchen complaining on how dirty it is

I was thinking the same. If this is street food what is restaurant food in Japan? I could eat this all day.
All looked so good.
The food looks amazing, and this video was relaxing to listen to. Thank you. 🙏
