Neither me or you know why he is really doing this, but believing the childish narrative that the news is telling you just makes you as much of a moron as the Russian's who believe that they are fighting Nazi's in Ukraine.

    • The loss of that young Russian's life was a tragedy and, no doubt, his girlfriend & parents will mourn. But what advice did his parents give the lad? Did they tell him that he could lose his life trying to advance the kleptocracy that is now Russia? Did they ask him to consider whether the invasion of Ukraine was justified and whether he was participating in a criminal event? Did they tell him that Putin would never hear his name, let alone care about the ultimate sacrifice he might make, so why should he risk everything for such a man? No, I think his parents were Russian sheep that did not raise him to exercise critical thinking. I think his parents believed he would be a "hero" and that the money would come in handy. I'm sorry but if Russian men go to Ukraine with weapons, I will not spare thoughts for their deaths. • Sympathy is justified for many of the Russian soldiers who have been forced to fight for a cause they do not believe in or support. President Zelenskyy will go down in history as one of the greatest leaders of our time. His fortitude and love for his country cannot be denied. It's hard to even imagine what it must be like for Ukrainians. Everything they were familiar with has been taken from them by a narcissistic sociopath. Their towns and villages, homes and possessions. The devastation of realizing love ones have died or unaccounted for. A population of people who had their own joys and their own sorrows, children who played happily in playgrounds, young adults making plans for their future. Parents hugging their sons and daughters who are now soldiers... not knowing what their fate will be. Sadly, all it takes is a unhinge narcissistic sociopath to turn an entire country into a war zone. Ironically, people in countries who have waged unprovoked wars continue about their daily lives unconcerned about the atrocities happening in a country that has been invaded. One must ask themselves, which is worse... The atrocities of war or people who support a war and give very little thought to the destruction and atrocities their country is/has committed?
