It's somewhat like the families back home of those of us who were with Special Operations in the United States military not being safe even here in the continental United States. The enemy knew we inflicted the most death and damage on them so they used every means at their disposal to find out our names so they could take retribution on our families if at all possible. They tried to intercept internet and satellite communications, torture of POWs, anything and everything they could. In this case the government of Russia only needed to flip on their television sets.

I remember one of the first video where Kadirovtsy soldiers where showing themselves giving humanitarian aids to people of Mariupol, I think, bit looking closer, you could see they were using food stolen from Ukrainiain supermarkets... Oh and don't forget in 2014, the Russian woman, a propaganda actress, showing herself in several Donbass cities, dressed and combed differently, claiming Ukrainians were doing atrocities against civilians in Donbas, and she was a witness of those crimes...yes, a witness without any actual proof, just talking to Russian propaganda TVs. But the biggest lies of them all, is accusing Ukrainians to be Nazis, while Russians are targeting civilians for the only goal to make them freeze to death, starve and remain in fear. The Real Nazis here, are the Russians with Z. Oh you remember what happen to the former Wagner Group soldier who talked... sent back through a prisoner exchange, he was killed by his comrades with a hammer... • Here's the thing. Nowadays it's not easy for Russians to immigrate to any Western country and plenty of them want to. I watch Russian speaking channels and read comments. So far 2 Russians who fought in this war at the very beginning came forward showing their faces and both of them didn't say a lot about the atrocities Russian army committed in Ukraine. The first one even said less than this one, he came to France. I don't believe they are innocent. But they got abroad just by coming forward speaking about the war. Now it will be easy for them and maybe even their families to get an asylum in the West. I believe some friends of these two Russian soldiers help them with this.

I think that Russia's force protection is good enough that if things I tried just walk away or shoot his way out he'd be killed pretty quickly. Ask any russian these days to who Crimea belongs? - one simple question- and all russians will stumble to answer it, because they know it belongs to Ukraine and they know they stole it. As for what he has done and witnessed, i believe his conscience will continue to torture him till his last breath. However, that is not something in which anyone can intervene.
