Dear all. Unfortunately, it's like always when you do a giveaway on youtube: Scammers try to contact you and pull you to other social media channels. Please note that I will announce the winner exclusively via a community post on this channel. This will happen only in the beginning of August. I will never ask you to come on telegram. Please be careful with your data and pay attention to the exact spelling of the channel name
I just got a Telegram request but decided it was unlikely that you would request that 🤣😂🤣😂
I had the same, I’m sorry I swallowed it, shame on me… 😶
No community post. Think this giveaway was fake.
I’m glad you repaired the handle; it would have been all too easy to make a new one
My baby is now a toddler with the attention span of a bee on sugar. Somehow you manage to grab is attention for the full 23 minutes and 42 seconds. Congrats, you've beaten Disney!
That's some supercool feedback. Thank you very much
Love watching your restoration videos, but I just want to bring up one thing. You put text in stating that watching videos of welding doesn’t harm the eyes. This is true, but why KZheadrs put the very important disclaimer in when they weld is put in for a reason. A small percentage of people suffer from Photosensitive epilepsy. What this is, when these people with this disease see bright flashes, say from welding, it can bring up seizures. This is why they post to look away or caution welding is about to happen. I just wanted to educate you to this disease so you have an understanding of why this disclaimer is put in videos. Oh I’m subscribing to your channel now as I love good restoration videos
This comment is golden
The black lacquer line on the handle to hide the joint looks perfect with the finished wrench, as if it had always been there. Well done
Looks amazing! I did notice something! You pulled out a Tap and a Tap handle but then used a die and die handle in the next shot
Really? I'll have to look again in a moment, I didn't notice. Greetings Tino PS: Canˋt see a different handle.
So far you are the first one :D
@@einufo5:42 he grabbed an inside tap from the box for an outside thread. Probably didn't use the right terms, but you'll get it.
@@NOLAfugee NOW I've got it! NTR grabs taps but uses cutting dies in the next frame. (NTR nimmt einen Gewindebohrer, benutzt aber ein Gewindeschneideisen in der nächsten Einstellung) Thanks for the explanation, greetings Tino
I know thousands of people are watching 22 persons playing with a leather ball, a beer on their hand. Pretty same for me, with one person playing with tools, testing beers and spending 1000 hours for 30 seconds of stop motion. Don't change anything, I'm so happy to see your videos ! Cheers from south of France !
First MM restores a car, Mr. P restores a truly wierd contraption, and now the Beer Doc posts another video too! It’s been a great week.
The stop motion was handsome and the actually restoration was night and day difference. Excellent work
Grüß Gott, du hast bei der Restaurierung dieses Schraubenschlüssels wieder hervorragende Arbeit geleistet.
Congratulations on reaching the impressive 66,666 subscriber milestone! 🎉 Your unique approach to preserving the patina during restorations is truly a testament to your respect for each tool's history, and that's something I deeply admire. Winning this monkey wrench wouldn't just mean owning a versatile tool, but a symbol of your dedication to giving new life to the old and worn. Irrespective of the giveaway outcome, I'm grateful for your work and for the inspiring message it carries. Here's to the next milestone! 🥂🛠
Time was, we used to fix things up to give them a longer life. And, of course, every tool was new at one time. Watching Dr. Beer restore and make old things new again is not only satifyingly relaxing, but instructional, as well. Each time I watch, I usually learn a new techique, or two, which gave me the confidence to restore an antique Dunlap 3.5 inch vise, which is currently in parts on my bench. I, too, love that the new parts were made out of a rustly steel rod lying around since the shop's renovation. That's what I'm talking about!
Thank you so much Douglas
Really good job restoring the wrench to working order. But it would be better to leave more of the original wear and tear on it to show the tool's hard earned history. Thanks for the show!
I don’t know why, but your restorations in my opinion are the most fun and satisfying to watch! Congratulations on your new viewer numbers! Also the stop motion is always fun, curious how long it took. Last, you rated the beer but not the cake! That’s the first time I’ve ever seen canned cake.
But I will answer to cake related questions 😋it was surprisingly good. Very moist and whole new flavor
@@NTRprojects Cake, beer and a good restored wrench. The good things in life👍🏻
I do not know why you do not have 100K subscribers yet. Your videos are very interesting and informative. Please continue to make them, I love them.
Oh it's lovely. An old tool dressed up nice again for new life 💝 the stripe bringing in the end caps and the dents still in the metal, I love the look.
Excellent. Glad you salvaged the handle.
Professional welder here. What our beloved Doctor Beer says, is true. Your screens don't display the damaging parts when it comes to welding, it just shows off how bright it really is, which sure, can be a bit hurtful in dark spaces, but generally, what you're seeing is very safe for your eyes. Or at least, you won't be getting "weld eyes" from it, like you would if you'd be looking into it in real life. (Though with how minimal this particular weld was, you'd probably still be fine.) Good video, Doc! Though a little sad you didn't rate the cake as well, hah!
The cake was surprisingly tasty
I find it so satisfying that you can sand down a rusty piece of metal and it's brand new underneath. Always look forward to your uploads, keep up the great work!
I really like watching old tools become like new again. Most of the young people I work with cannot name many hand tools.
The stop motion was awesome, I never quite had the patience for it
I've just discovered your channel, about two weeks ago, have been watching you first videos, until reach the most recent ones. And man, what an improvement! Both in the quality and skills of you movemaking and editing, but most important in the restoration jog itself. Congratulations, lad! In so fews days, your channel has become one of my favs. Ps. I hope you'll be able to send this wornderful wrench to Brazil, in case I win the give away. Having that beauty here would be an honor! 😁
Thank you very very much
Greetings from Whidbey Island, Washington State, USA. As usual, a superb restoration honoring the wrench's age and history. No one does this better than Dr. Beer.
Love watching restorations of old equipment, and I'm glad to have found your channel 👍
I really like those old wrenches. I have a couple that were my grandpa's.
I really do l Iike your restorations. The care you give each piece, your sense of humor, and of course, beer. I wish much success and NO TO WAR.
Nice work, love the japanning and the original handle. And also the stop motion😄
What a beauty! Respect for repunching those original numbers back in, loved that detail! How long did the stop motion to film/edit?
Thank you brotatoe 🥔
Took me around 1,5-2 hours I guess.
@@NTRprojects Worth it for us anyway; looked cool!
I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see if you could save the handle! Love it.
Im so glad its not mirror polished. Tools that are mirror polished are just show pieces most of the time. This can be used and not have to worry about scratching it up. Great work.
Beautiful restoration as always. I would be honoured to win it if I were chosen. I'm so glad you didn't give up on the handle wood and kept to more traditional techniques.
It truly satisfying when you used the old rusted rod!
I really appreciate that you took the time to subtitle [CC] because I'm Deaf and Google's auto subtitle can be very messy sometimes. Congratulation on 66.666 well-earned subscribers! Look forward to your 666.666 videos soon! 👍
Hey Leonard. The subtitles are actually the only info I provide and I'm really glad you enjoy them. So for you to know, there is no voiceover for noboy :)
@@NTRprojects Thank you for that.
I love that you repaired the handle. So many people just replace it. This looks amazing!
I'm sitting here in Texas, eating Greek food, watching a German restore an antique wrench. Life is good. Great job, Dr. B!
Amazing restoration, would love to see this beauty in action.
I was curious about the functionality. Glad to see the test at the end.
Beautiful job.
As always, you're work is impeccable! Thank you for amazing restorations and I love the stop motion.
Thank you for taking us along for the new chapter of this tool’s new life!!! Nice work!!
What a lovely restoration. Sustainability in action, i like it!
So glad that you decided to save the handle, wood that old can and must be preserved
Looks amazing! Always impressed with your craftsmanship!
Awesome restoration! Nice close up images… congratulations! Perfect! 😉 thanks for sharing!!!
Another amazing restoration! A nice mix of original and new parts. Thanks for sharing.
What a great old tool that is. Thanks for sharing your process! Love your videos!
What a good job you did restoring the old monkey wrench to working order. It looks much better and works like a charm too. It also looks like an antique as well. Excellent work as usual.
Absolutely love that you kept the handle. True craftsmanship right there 😊
You did a great job. The way you fixed the handle is inspiring.
Love what you did with the handle. Great job. Thanks for sharing!
Beer and cake! My favourite combination! Also, great restoration Herr Doktor!
I’m always very impressed with your work. So glad to see this restored.
You are one of the better (if not best) resto channels I've found :) It's always nice to see the resto ... and ... a good beer recommendation!
This looks amazing! I love all of your restorations - thanks for sharing these videos
Beautiful! Your appreciation of the past techniques shows in your craft.
Drinking coffee while watching an awesome restoration. What a Sunday morning!
Thank you for the content and the fact that you repaired the handle was just wonderful. Thank you
You really are a true artist making old and not so terrible things into something gorgeous ! Nice work ! As always ! 👍
Excellent restoration! I like that you go the extra mile to maintain some of the age indicators and details of these old pieces.
Congratulations on the growth of your channel. I hope the wrench finds a respectful home.
Great rescue of the old handle! Keeping everything original preserves the history that the wrench represents.
I would be happy if this gem 🛠 would move to Australia 😊 Great work - as always!
Really enjoy your restorations and all of the techniques that are used. You also have a lovely sense of humour :)
After a long week of work, my treat is to watch your channel :) Well done!
Excellent, I particularly like that you try and keep as much of the original as you can. Funny, as soon as you poured that beer and I saw its colour I thought to my self that it will not be one of the greats. Then you noted it tasted like acid and I laughed, spot on, I thought it looked rank.
Great channel. I love it when people see the value of old things instead of throwing them away.
A beautiful restoration, sympathetic to its age. The wrench still has loads of character but is now functional as well. Great work mate.
So glad you actually restored it! Getting tired of so called "restorations" where they just remake 90% of whatever item is being restored. You just remad what was obviously beyond repair, good job and keep up the great work
Your videos, Like Primitive Technology, are so peaceful to watch. :)
Great restoration, trying to keep as much of the character of the handle and tang as well.
Im a great fan of your work. Well done. Thank You for sharing with us.
Nice! I love the character of the wood. Glad you were able to repair it and not replace it. ❤
I love that wrench. Excellent work and attention to detail. I’ve never seen a wrench like that before. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I don’t why, but I love that you saved the japanning mixture from the old project. “Waste not, want not.”
I love that you kept the original handle, really nice restoration.🎉🎉
Nice handle restoration. Great work 🔧
As always, awesome restoration! Please please keep making our lives more fun!
Na das Teil ist doch wieder schick geworden. Besonders der Griff gefällt durchaus 👍 Schöne Arbeit. Ich hoffe das Teil geht an jemanden der es zu schätzen weiß und trotzdem nutzt.
That last shot of the handle end cap removal during the disassembly looked a little on the Dark Side… 😂
Amazing restoration as always! Love to have this one in my collection!
As usual fantastic restoration! You’re material and tool knowledge, use of those tools and materials(not to mention camerawork) are next level. Thanks so much for the great videos.
What a nice job on the wrench. My husband and I love to sit and watch together the restorations on KZhead, you’re being a highlight because of your care for detail not to mention introducing different beers each program. Keep up the great work!
Another great restoration! My youngest son really enjoyed the stop-motion!
Always a joy to watch you work. Glad you saved that handle. Congrats on the subscriber milestone.
There is just something about old tools that you cannot get anymore.. great vid 🙏🏻
This has got to be the nicest functional wrench restoration video I've ever seen. Very nice job!
Another fantastic restoration. I loved how you match the wood grain of the new piece with the original handle. Pretty slick!
That was a great balance between restoring the condition and keeping the patina. Great work!
Beautiful job. I'm never quite sure if I like bluing as a finish, but it was just perfect for this restoration. Nice to see you put the cross-hatching back on the jaws too.
Absolutely beautiful! Amazing craftsmanship!
The skill and talent you show is astounding!! This is my favorite restoration channel. Your Grandma is smiling down on you😊
Great video as always. Love the detail with the black lacquer to hide the join! Little touches like that really make it stand out.
"Goal is to make it fully functional and precise, while indicators for age and history remain." And this is why you are one of the genuine best and have my respect!! Love watching your still of restoration and skill!!!
Wow!! That turned out awesome! Love the original treatment instead of just powder coating!
Quite a lovely job, sir!! The handle, the slides, the Japanning were all most satisfying. But my favorite was the stop motion. Your sense of whimsy added a lot to it.
Thanks for making content like this. Not commenting for the giveaway. Give it to someone else. :) I just want to show my appreciation
Great restoration! I love the respect you show for the original craftsman on this piece, object history and character are lovely and totally add to it.
Beautiful as always! An inspiration for those of us who love doing this in their spare time.
Wow, great job! Amazing tool. Congrats!
Mad respect to you for saving the handle. I think it’s important to try and preserve as much of the originality of every tool. Looking forward to your next video.
