Hey all! Sorry if I’ve confused some! This video is all of the Aston Martin build episodes from the main channel put into one huge video. We posted it on the 2nd channel just incase some people like to watch the full thing in just one episode 🙏❤️ back soon with more videos
Watched this full series twice 😂 love everything you have done !
+1 for the 3/4 hour history/recap.
Just finished the journey ... Damn, what a way to go back in time... 👌🏼
Prefer this stitched together format for completed builds. Now waiting for the GT3 full video. Great content!!
Legend = loved the full video only thing missing was Dad.....
Honestly, I love this idea, putting all the episodes into one place for one long film. Top job 👏
Agreed
Yeah I like how his fried does the whole build in 1 long video. So this is Awesome!
Me too
I'm the other way. Lots of smaller videos, I don't have time to sit for hrs and hrs and never get round to going back to watch a long video 😔
+1
Been in the racing business for years . I honestly can say I know seriously qualified mechanics that would shy away from what you take on. “Hard work beats talent” is evidently occasionally rewarded. I am a huge FAN !!!!
The fact that mat stays humble with his friend in his side is what keeps me watching. Cheers from Wisconsin USA!
Who is here watching even though they watched the whole series
Is it the same one
@@mariebrady4625yes mate that’s why it’s on the mk2 channel
We’re here for Mat I guess
Not me, new to the channel and never seen this series before!
I've been here since day 1 and still watching this again
Matt is full of energy. Encounters and solves problems with a smile. Epic
Matt is addicted to carbon fiber 😂
I’m an older lady, and I love this car! Even seeing it brought in by flatbed truck didn’t change my mind! My taste in cars hasn’t changed in all my years. Still love fast, and expensive ❤😂 My dream car will always be the “BUG”!! If you know cars you will know what I’m talking about 😊 I’m happy I found your channel because I love it too! Thank you for sharing this with us…
It really is a beautiful car
with all the cars i seen you rebuild i say your better mechanic than most
Well, Mat this Has got to be the fastest 3 hours and 40 minutes of my life can’t believe how fast that time went…… and how much hard work has gone into this for us all and the editing the videography absolutely outstanding. I’ve spent all afternoon watching this getting earache off the Mrs…. worth it Mat Honestly you should do more like this. Thank you all
Although I’ve watched them all before that’s still the best 3hr 40 mins entertainment and feeling the highs and lows of you and the team. To all come down to that ending is enough for any car enthusiast to achieve what’s possible. Hard work and determination brilliant!!! Keep up the good work mate!!
Forget the editing, what he does with those cars is crazy! They strip them back to nuts and bolts and put them back together, never see such a thing. It would probably not even be viable, or indeed too risky, if it wasn't for KZhead.
Matt your boundless energy, enthusiasm and perseverance, even when tasks seem impossible, is an inspiration.
Congratulations Mat and Hannah. You deserve every minute of joy with her.
Ever since I came across your channel, I've been RELEGIOUSLY watching your videos day and day so please DO NOT END the content lol - I do not like the news, or anything negative - being good is the hardest thing and most hoomans are WEAK resort to being bad - and these videos ARE AWESOME, very motivating, entertaining, positive in its own way and a great pass time for me. from USA
Only legends will know this is already a series 💯💯
I wish a had half the energy that Mat has. I love the enthousiasm, determination and of course the builds. Cheers Mat, enjoying every minute.
Saying hello from Rochester New York amazing rebuild The videos time and effort put into keeps me glued to the channel Keep up the great work 💪🏼
Never been less begrudging of an Aston Martin owner in my life. Mat you've earned every smile with this car, absolutely loved watching your journey and you fully deserve this car. Sounds fabulous ❤
Mat, you have done an absolutely incredible job in rebuilding your Aston Martin Vantage-well done! As a bloke old enough to be your Dad I took so much pleasure in watching this back to back film. You fully deserve to own such a classic car.The guts and determination that you have shown in completing this build are a fine example to the sometimes lost youth of today, in that if you try hard enough you can achieve your dreams. I now look forward to following your journey on future projects. Enjoy your pride and joy lad. JRD.
It’s too bad they don’t paint those dashboard bolts to different color
@@dcraexon134Damn! Bloody bolts not painted. 😂
100% agree
You deserve far more than a youtube channel, you should have a proper tv series. Your editing, content and your presenting have full potential for an amazing future!
100% but if he went on tv it would be the end as he would be forced to make everything overdramatic with nonsensical deadlines like needing to have a car fixed in 24 hours and crap like that
Goes to show you're an older gentlemen. A tv series is awful in comparison to a youtube channel. You're asking him to basically give up over half of his revenue to the TV station... His KZhead video is way more proper and way more beneficial than a TV series would ever be.
If Mat was announced as the next Top Gear presenter... Even those who don't know of him would approve.
@@MulhollandIEyou're spot on there to be honest mate. Keeping this on KZhead allows Matt to keep control of his content too. Ignore me, Matt! Keep this as it is, it's perfect!
Agree. But reality is that Mat Armstrong is a TV series. Keeping it this way means MA is in control. Look what happened to Gas Monkey… the TV company made it impossible for the characters t work as they pulled the shots and then it was tv. MA just enjoys cars and he’s brilliant behind the camera and altogether a lovely young man. I’m a Physics teacher and I’ve incorporated some of his stuff into my lectures especially his passion and drive to solve issues and think outside the box! Keep going MA. There is one programme I th I he could work in and not interfere too much and that’s Top Gear if he had some angle that they had never thought of. But quite frankly he’s best on his own and also the network of other KZheadrs working together will put traditional tv shows out of the limelight.
No kidding. You deserve all the good things that come your way. You push through your fears and more than compensate for any lack of knowledge or experience with enthusiasm, research, hard work and determination. The way you demonstrate those characteristics makes you a great role model for the next generation of young men coming up. As for you jumping in with both feet, I’ve been there. There is nothing like the thrill of taking on something that pulls you way out of your comfort zone and then accomplishing your goal. I remember installing a supercharger on my Mustang and after going through 76 pages of instructions, 6 days of work, and loading a new program into the ECU. It was such a relief when I turned the key and the engine started right up. I was worried about having to de-pin and move around wires in a number of connectors. The worst was moving around some wires in one of the big 70 pin connectors to the ECU. - there were ECU 3 modules, two identical ones with 70 pins each and a third with 50 pins. I almost made the changes in the wrong connector because the picture in the instructions wasn’t too clear. Plus, there are so many wires and pins in those big connectors, it would be so easy to de-pin the wrong connectors. Turning the ignition key for the first time was a moment of truth. So happy I caught my mistake before I screwed it up. Turned out I did make one little mistake that caused all the coolant to fly out of the engine on the first test run. Luckily, it was the simplest fix possible. One of the click-on coolant connectors on top of the engine was only fully clicked on one side. You couldn’t tell by looking at it and it didn’t leak when the engine idled up to operating temp. It only leaked when the engine hit a certain rpm. When most of the coolant blew out on the freeway, I couldn’t believe it. What an emotional roller coaster. From super high to super bummed out in the blink of an eye.
Out of all the builds I have seen so far, this is my favorite one. The ending is the best. So glad I found your channel.
This is one of the best videos ever. It's incredible what Mat and his team are able to do...the perseverance, patience, out-of-the-box solutions, and what a great attitude. Amazing !!!
Your Aston Martin was / Is your best rebuild IMO. Not sure I would have taken the gamble but you pulled it off. And thank you for putting all the episodes together in one video, I REALLY enjoyed watching it. 🙂👍
Every video I've watched of yours is full of positive energy, not a single moment I'm not pulled into the video. great job and thank you for the epic repairs.
What’s MUCH more important than some sort of qualifications? Motivation, Drive, Energy, Determination! Amazing Channel !!
Love idea of putting all the videos together of builds should definitely do this for all future builds as I cannot imagine coming to the channel as a new viewer not knowing where to start , so this makes it easy
I absolutely adore you Mat and love how you, Hannah and your mates were able to rebuild this *GORGEOUS* Aston Martin. I appreciate you putting this into one video-please keep it up!
Ĺ
Just recently found your channel and love that you put together all the clips and make 1 video. Keeps me nights at work going👍🏼 really love you and the work you do. The fact that you admit no quals and no certs and show the bolts you missed lol absolutely love it. Real and down to earth🤙🏼
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!🎉 The unlimited and countless smiles in solving a complex problem, man!! You got some huge Risk Appetite. Kudos mate. God bless
Watching you do this was inspiring. Taking out the dash alone looked mind boggling. Well done!!
This is by far THE best car rebuild video I’ve ever seen. Didn’t blink for 3 and a half hours. Mate my respect for the effort and love you gave to this project
Are your eyes ok?
I love your positive attitude and "keep on working" style. Its a joy to watch you , and your smile and unnstopeble mindset really motivates me to take on projects in the garage. 👍🏻😀
It amazes me how Aston Martin still use the parts bin to build their cars. I used to restore DB4s and DB5s years ago and we found lots of parts from other vehicles. The door handles on the DB5 are from a TK Bedford lorry, and we're a 5th of the price Aston wanted. Love your enthusiasm Mat.
You could say the same for 90% of cars on the road. Even Rolls Royce are using BMW parts
First timer...watching and loving every minute of this rebuild. Mat is a natural entertainer. His humility and obvious passion for the build translates to great viewing Regards from South Africa
There are no words describing the effort you be put into that video. You re amazing mat ❤
Bro ur an insipiration no matter how much or how many problems u faced u didnt gave up but tackled it with a smile and such a wonderful humble attitude u deserve all this happiness 🎉 stay blessed
Couldn't sleep last night, you saved me. Never been a big fan of you if I'm honest but I gotta say I was glued the whole way. Very impressed .. Stunning motor. Be proud lad.
Just went on that 3.5 hour journey with you. Your dedication, ingenuity, savvy yet safe cost cutting choices, relentlessness and unwillingness to give up, was as inspirational as it was uplifting. The joy, pride and satisfaction that came from AMs seal of approval had me in my feels. And the road trip was the cherry on top. I was scared when I saw the red wrap roll but your instincts were spot on. As a bit of entertainment, this was better 95% of anything on the tele. Full disclosure. I did watch at 1.5x speed. 😂. Thanks for stitching it all up I into one stream and for pushing yourself to your limits. Anyone catch the initial purchase price of the wrecked car. I somehow missed mussed it.
I found this in a Google search... Armstrong parted with £54,000 or around $62,000. Not bad when, according to Classic, an aggregator of used car prices, finds that the average third-generation Vantage sells for just over $174,000.
seems like he didn't even say it cause i went back to check
This is by far the most well put together video i’ve ever seen. i’ve sat here for over three hours !! beautiful job. the ending of the video was absolutely fantastic. unbelievable work man. you my friend are the definition of dedication. job well done.
Man been glued to this video... Like this is day two finishing the rest of it. Your tenacity and courage is just awesome. I feel excited on every success you had navigating the issues. Great skills, awesome🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for an amazing video on the rebuild of your Aston Martin, and taking us on an Awesome trip with you guys.👍👏 I'm 74 years old and still love working on my cars and adding a mod here and there.
This is why I support right to repair. All manufacturers should be forced to provide schematics and ALL spare parts upon request.
That car sounds incredible. It's great to see that you work until completion; so many other channels leave so many things undone.
Yeah true that.
Your videos are so addictive! On the final quarter of the Lamborghini Murcielago rebuild and this pops up and now watching both. Be great to one day have all your builds on Netflix for easier viewing. Also, I really admire the way you deal with disappointment. Something goes wrong for me, I become a temporary emotional wreck. I’m working on that. Well done on the whole thing, it’s inspirational.
Just got done watching the whole video in 1 sitting and wow.. what an amazing job! I was nearly heartbroken when this Porsche crashed, and you reviving it made it so inspiring to watch. Cheers mate 🥂!
Mat, witnessing the rebirth of this 2019 Aston Martin Vantage is akin to watching a phoenix rise from the ashes. Your unwavering dedication, meticulous craftsmanship, and sheer passion have not just restored a machine, but breathed life and soul back into an automotive masterpiece. What many might have seen as the end, you recognized as a new beginning. This isn't just a testament to your skill, but a reflection of your heart and the love you hold for these beautiful machines. Truly, you've shown that with perseverance, vision, and a touch of artistry, even the gravest of damages can be turned into a story of resilience and rebirth. Hats off to you, Mat.
Congrats Mat - well deserved. Can't wait for the next build.
Hi Mat, rebuilt only one car, a 76 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Coupè. Full nut and bolt. Just sold Nissan GTR stage 5 Lichfield, 800HP and still have my wife’s CS 400 Impreza. Now on the bones of my arse and your channel cheers me up as I’ve just had my 57th operation following non fault motorcycle crash. Well done buddy and Thanks. Gary.
What an absolute dedication to fixing this beauty, thanks for sharing this amazing step-by-step! what a beautiful project and experience at the end ! Bravo! well done!
You're a genius Mat. I've loved watching you rebuild the Aston. Thank you.
Your channel has provided so many joyful moments, but Ahhh, memories, I have to say, the moment you finally got the Aston started I was nearly in tears. Awesome.
It's not the cars that brought you together, it's not the cars that made your trip. It's your shared love and passion for them. And it's sharing that love an passion that makes it all fun, regardless of what it is you're doing. Be it cars, boats, model rockets or even basket weaving, if you love doing it, there are others that do as well, find them and share the passion.
I love these full rebuild videos. I detail cars for a living and sometimes have these playing in the background while I work
Brilliant to watch this full build unfold. Thanx Mat and Crew for entertaining us and following your dreams! 👏😎
Not finished watching all of this video yet, but it maybe the best video I've ever seen. Mat your an inspiration... truly incredible job with that dash... john. Top job, top bloke.
What I love Matt is that you're telling us th Aston Martin isn't a genuine car anymore? When you go to a showroom, they say all this is genuine. Asking Martin, well, it isn't its Mercedes Anvo😊😊😊
Mat, thanks again for gifting the Aston Martin to me. I feel so blessed. I don’t know how I can ever thank you enough for this🤗
Bro this is inspirational stuff and i am so happy to see you making your dreams come true through genuine love & hard work! well done i feel proud of you and i don't even know you.
This was better than an action movie! Epic work by Mat, and what a journey!
Best car re build content on KZhead. Matt needs his own TV show 🤯
Probably the best looking and best sounding vantage ever! Incredible job. 👌
This was one of the best videos I’ve watched in a very long time. Thank you for the amazing inspiring content. You are so deserving of your blessings. 🎉🙏🔥❤️
Watched all of the original vids and the whole 3.5 of this cut...what a fantastic journey from start to finish! Epic stuff Mat! 😍😎
You all should have gone to Nice. That's my favorite place in the whole world. When I bought my 3 bedroom shack there, it cost more then my 8 bedroom 4 bathroom home in New Orleans Louisiana. I love St. Charles Street and I love my neighbor John Goodman. Man when he leaves this world, I'm moving to Nice for good and not for a vacation anymore. Great video and I wish you all the very best.
Iv seen a couple of vids on Facebook showing how some companies purely rip people off, watching these full rebuilds is good! Im a qualified mechanic too just tend to work on my own old cars 😊
i cant believe i watched this whole video. great job all around! the editing , quality and details were all top notch. congrats on the accomplishments. the car looks great!
Just have to say how much I enjoyed the full video and yes the car has got to be one of the best looking cars on the road. And yes, your chosen colour was spot on. Your builds show that you've got patience of a saint. Well done!
You guys deserve all the success and good times that come your way. Great video. Great journey. Great car. And Hannah's lovely 😍👏👏 Love how you include everyone.
That's how you do that there , BIG RESPECT 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Mat i have just spent a whole afternoon watching an amazing adventure.... BBC spend millions making programmes like this, you guys did not just nail the Aston build but entertained all the way through, wow thank you so much. I am a happy boy...
Absoletly amazing work and dedication. Mat is on another level of expertise.
For you to get a black man living in the Caribbean to sit an watch this entire video you got talent keep up the good work 🙏
Editing and personality makes it addictive to keep watching! From a guy who had 2 jobs and did bmx competitions.. epic and legend!
What an amazing video. Watched the original but having it all strung together like this is fantastic. Well done Mat for a superb build and a great piece of entertainment
Hi, Mat ... I am blown away. First you managed to keep me hooked for 3 hours watching this amazing video, which leaves me speechless. I'm humbled by your self taught mechanic skills. But where I think you are truly exceptional is how you managed to shoot the road trip video. IT IS AS GOOD AS TOP GEAR. Your personality but also the quality of the realization, quality of the images, the back story... And all this with 1/100 of Top Gear's budget. Damn the BBC shall hire you right away. You are very very talented....
Love this full build series!! I watched all the episodes individually but it’s great to go back and see the progress in one go!!
That's really great my dad passed before I could finish my project car that we worked on . That really sits good with me 💯 percent. Great job guys keep it up 🎉😂.
Absolutely awe inspiring, you have the patience of a saint on the Aston rebuild. Topped off by the fantastic road trip. Hats off to you mate 👍
What a video. Watched the whole thing, its unbelievable how much effort you put in all of this! Cheers ❤
Retired mechanic with workshop for40 odd years and you did well Matt with the new problems arrising as they do with bloody cars and getting to the bottom of them and stressful too. Enjoyable and glad to have to only watch others enjoying the accomplishments with jobs one has never tackled before but after years you will be able to sort any make and model without out the feeling of OMG what have I gotten my self into this time..never ..again ..never again...I'll do any car now without fear with confidence you will say now!❤ good luck and keep up the great videos with your dad and girl friend. ❤from Jonny in Belfast Northern Ireland ..all the best!
Only circumstances in which I feel personalised plates are acceptable. Well done Mat
3 hours long, lovely. Thanks for the content Matt
I couldn't stop watching once I started. Absolutely loved this film. What an incredible journey you should be so proud Mat. True role model 👌
bruh, i love these journeys you take to get these incredible cars back on the road. the full length videos are legend
Dude, you literally never told us how much you paid for the car even in the first video
Phew! Thought I was going crazy, went back to the beginning to recheck and nothing! Matt? How much?
@@johnkingston2538 it’s been five months and I still don’t think we know how much he paid😭
@@gabegrew3605I went to the main channel for the individual episodes (he edits them in to one long one on the second channel…) He paid £54k, not sure why he clipped that bit from the full build episode??
@@johnkingston2538 oml thank you🙏🏼. Honestly completely gave up on trying to figure it out.
Absolutely love this video, we watched it twice over. It is so exciting to see you work your way through the process with Hanna, your Dad, and your mates, all having fun together and being part of creating amazing memories. Thanks for taking us along on your tour, that was exciting, and a heck of a lot better than the one in the black lambo which is when I first started watching your channel. I love how both your channels are growing, congrats!!
i love that lift they have in their shop. would love to have those installed in my personal home.
Mat I came across your channel accidentally via the Rashford rebuild since then I have been hooked, so much so that I have spent most of the weekend watching this video which has been an absolute inspiration. Well done what an amazing build.
What an amazing job you've done Mat, you must be so proud of yourself. All the credit goes to yourself and your team for making the right choices. Love your videos, very addictive. All the best mate 👍
Hi mat and the gang , i've just finished watching your video . absolutely loved it . The whole tale from start to finish , The buying of the knackered Aston , the pain staking job of taking it apart and then putting it together again , the fun and games involved in this is just amazing . Taking the cars apart ,sourcing the parts .learning as you go to correct the faults and make the cars good again .WOW ! What makes your video so good is that most people are so cash strapped these days , they'll never ever have a hope in hells chance of ever owning any of the cars that you have shown in your videos . You have given so many people a glimmer of hope that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and take a risk . You also have something that a lot of people don't , the ability to be naturally you ,humble and sincere . this video had such a feel good factor about it , you and your mates being so foot loose and fancy free and going on a road trip to the south of France .It reminded probably so many of us of similar experiences that we've all had at one time or another in our lives and we just never wanted it to stop. God bless , take care and stay safe .
Matt, I really love how you are so determined to show other people how to do this jobs. I'm sure and show that manufacturers that it can be done by. Some one not a professional.😊😊
That Aston Martin build was so clean… you are more than a mechanic… you’re an artist… The Mechanic Artist !!!
Mat, you have done such a great job. Happy for you
Congratulations Mat,a super video of your rebuild of the Aston it was a pleasure to watch and your road trip to the Stelvio pass was awe inspiring.Memories that you will enjoy forever...well done to you and Hannah not to mention the rest of the suppliers and helpers that made one of your dreams come true..fantastic. cheers
I love your vids Mat,I'm a bit of a driveway technician myself🤦but fair play, you had a dream and aimed for the stars, sometimes it pays off, most times not,but I couldn't think of a more deserving bloke than you to be where you &Hannah and Kevin are now.......keep going mate, its meant to be.👍
Can I just mention the awesome music selection and mixing in this video. Matt Zimmer Armstrong you nailed it
This Aston Martin build was amazing!
So jealous of you guys! This is the definition of living the dream. Well done 👏
Great video as usual! 😎 I'm relatively new to following your channel and find the time you're spending acquiring the relevant skills dismantling/reassembling cars awe inspiring. Well done. 👏🏻 Also I'd like to add your presentation manner and general demeanour are admirable and you come across a thoroughly decent bloke and totally grounded. You'd be an asset to any top motoring show. Keep up the good work. 🙂👍🏻
One of the rare videos i will ever watch where i realised i had maintained a smile for most of this episode. Much love ❤
I wish I can do what you do for a living but I live in South Africa... SARS will be on my back
