Javier Bardem's performance was absolutely incredible
True that
+Sofiya Hutsal Very underrated actor
+Sofiya Hutsal The best villain perfomance I've ever seen. Even better than Heath Ledger's Joker!
Rafael Mertin If you want to join that's fine but ask her first Sofiya Hutsal
Anal Acrobats If only you'd have the balls to ask politely in public :(
When the trailer has more music than the film itself.
amazing audio-track but no score, i never thought id appreciate it BUT I DO
A brilliant move. When this first came out, I would comment on that to people and they didn't believe me. I said go watch it again bud.
what background score you would give to an emotionless face
Well that's sort of because the Cohen Brothers intentionally excluded a soundtrack?
@@martin4836
The scariest part about this movie is Javier's haircut...

What amazed me most about this moving is how real it feels to me. Almost every movie the characters do things that are so unnatural and stupid choices that makes no sense. This movie everything felt so real, the way they behaved, the choices they took it all just feels so natural and real. Absolutely amazing movie in my opinion.
Omg I know exactly what you mean
I always think in that manner while watching almost every film just because you said that could you recommend some movies to me? I bet you’d be the best judge of character
@@angelicaduncan9694 Trust me, if you liked the realism of this movie-I HIGHLY recommend the movie “Se7en” (yes, that’s the actual title) but just trust me it was a great movie, with great actors and it felt very real and gritty.
I think it has something to do with the lack of background music. I noticed while watching that there is little to no music throughout the film. Just silence and a bit of background noise.
The characters did stupid things in this movie as well lol. The guy Anton pulled over in the beginning is a perfect example. Literally listened to Anton knowing damn well he wasn't a cop by his appearance. Can't say he didn't get what he deserved.
It was determined by a group of psychologists that Javier Bardem's portrayal of a psychopath was the most accurate, even topping out Heath Ledger's performance. Way to go Javier.
Yea, right up there with Jake Gyllenhaal in nightcrawler!
DUTCH VAN DER MOUSE Jake Gylenhaal’s nightcrawler is just amazing don’t get me wrong. It probably wasn’t scientifically accurate but still was absolutely chilling
@@A1egz not unrealistic, just a different type... it was more like a realistic sociopath
I think Heath Ledger didn't hold a candle to this brilliance.
@@A1egz It was a remarkable performance. But one should keep in mind that not all psychopaths are so obviously psychopathic.
Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men, the most accurate portrayal of a psychopath in movie history.
Well said

Violent sociopath.
Joker: Ima just slide right in
Travis Bickel Taxi Driver
Even with how amazing this trailer is, it doesn't do this movie justice.

I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve watched this… One of my favorite films of all time. So much tension, heavy symbolism, and it was beautifully filmed. Each character was perfectly cast in their own right, down to the smallest of roles. No Country for Old Men is one of those rare, flawless cinematic gems. If you haven’t seen it, watch it immediately!
Get ready for the worst end to a film ever.
About to go watch it now! I'll see if the ending is as bad as the other comment says.
@@Neil-AspinallJust watched it. I really enjoyed it. I understand that you hate the ending. I didn't like it either. But I watched some videos explaining it and I understand it better now. Even if that's still not the kind of ending I like, I have to admit this one improves the movie a lot.
@@Guigui_82 You shouldn't have to have the end of a good movie explained to you.

Kartikeya Sharma can you plz recommend of any good movies ?
Marzy Art some Quentin Tarantino films like Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards. Nolan Films like Inception, Interstellar and Momento. Others that a pretty good would be Oceans 11, 3:10 to Yuma, War of the Worlds, There Will Be Blood, Gangs of New York, Shutter Island, Django Unchained, The Departed
It’s a long list but all of the most fall under genres like Action, Crime Film and Suspense, they make you want more and a lot of those films were Oscar Nominated or even won some a time ago
Kartikeya Sharma thank you.. I will make sure to watch these. Am so done of popular overrated movies that lack story and direction. I like your taste. Thanks alot

I agree!
+Damien Landstorm TRUE
This is seriously one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Damien Landstorm This is my favorite movie, but I actually think this trailer is kinda cliche. To many cuts to black, and it reveals too much. Also, it shouldn't have music.
Not only the trailer doesn't give away the movie but it doesn't tell anything. It's not interesting and doesn't make me want to watch the movie. Thank God I watched the movie before the trailer or I would've missed the experience.

One of the best films i have ever watched in my life. So well written and directed by the coen brothers. Javier Bardem is just a blessing, what a brilliant actor, whenever he's on screen, you can't look anywhere else. Steals the show every now and then. The film is suspenseful throughout, kind of anxiety inducing and i was heavily enjoyed it. One of the few movies which in which i was engaged thoroughly.

One of the best films ever. I saw the opening with a packed audience. You could hear a pin drop, and when the end came, I just got up with a smile and walked out thinking that the Coen brothers have done it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes, the bad guy wins.

Last theater experience I had a woman had her infant in there the whole time and I heard baby noise throughout the entire movie. I'm just jealous of your viewing experience. I haven't seen this movie, will watch it in the near future though.
I swear it feels like they don't make movies as good as this anymore. I remember this being the very first rated R movie I saw by myself in theater at age 16 and I was absolutely blown away by the performance on how good it was from everybody in this movie!!!!
Most films are considered amongst the greatest of all time because of their lasting influence, or they become a common cultural reference. I think No Country qualifies as one of the greatest of all time, simply for how good it is. Regardless of influence, regardless of reference: it is simply one of the finest works in cinematic history.
Try the book as well. In my opinion, Cormac McCarthy is the greatest living author today. No Country isn't even his best work!
Agreed

Phenomenal movie. Every time I watch it I try to lie to myself and say that he didn't kill Carla Jean and think of reasons why he would check his shoes. Deep movie, very dark and gritty
Maybe he's checking if there's blood stain on his shoes
Except that it is a common technique for directors to show less violence as their movies progress.. so it makes sense that they wouldn't show the murders at the end :/
Alex Gilson Why is that a common technique?
She refused call it. So he called it for her.

JB steals the show, thx though, undoubtedly to Cormac McCarthy inventing such a character. A silenced shotgun? Now that's innovative...

This Trailer makes me want to sit on the TV and watch the couch.
I'm so sad at how old this looks because i was a kid when it came out and i didn't think it looked bad obviously, it was amazingly done, and it may still appear that way to some people but some people will be turned off from watching it just because it looks like an old western or something similar but that's not what it is at all.

I appreciated and understood this film more the 2nd time I watched it. The first time was back in 2007, just before it won Best Picture at the Oscars, and it had a whole lot of hype.
