    • Penta You’re so stupid. Surgical masks help filtering the air around us. Coronavirus isn’t airborne, but it is spread through contact and spray (sneezing, coughing). They very much are useful against coronavirus.

      @MacCadalso@MacCadalso3 жыл бұрын

      @arnav9009@arnav90093 жыл бұрын
    • @@arnav9009 that's like saying above ground pool with 12" holes around the bottom will have dry earth around it. Nothing is stopping water from flowing where it will, only a mask with a completely sealed chamber around your face will keep the virus from entering into your mouth and nose. So no I will not wear a mask just like I know the ground is wet with all the holes around the pool.

      @dal8963@dal89633 жыл бұрын
    • @@dal8963 Ok, let's compare your pool with holes in the bottom to a pool with no bottom. Obviously, the ground is wet under both pools, but which is more wet? The pool with no bottom. Now, let's say there's a bunch of devices in the ground that dry it. Where will the devices have more trouble drying the ground? In places that are wetter. Where is it wetter? Under the pool with no bottom. Likewise, someone's immune system will have more trouble fighting, say, a virus, if there is more of that virus present. So while yes, wearing a mask doesn't *guarantee* that you won't get sick, it does make it less likely. I am done here, goodbye.

      @seabassthegamer6644@seabassthegamer66443 жыл бұрын
    • Im Alastair If you have the coronavirus, you shouldn’t even be leaving your house. And wearing a mask doesn’t limit breathing, rather it prevents further spread of the virus. In fact, cases are rising in the US because of people not wearing masks. Also, “limit the oxygen you are breathing”? That’s not true, they may feel harder to breathe in, but it is still preventative of the coronavirus. www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html Even the CDC, a GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION agrees

Brittonic, or as you call it, "Old Breton" is related to PWG so the possibility that 'lagun' is cognate with 'look' isn't off the table. Nevertheless, English isn't descended from Brittonic nor does it have a significant amount of loan words from Brittonic.

  • 2:11 Here's something fun! Did you know this remote control demonstration is the same technology virtual reality consoles use? Try it at home with say, the controllers of an oculus quest. The sensors of the system detect lights emitted on multiple parts of the controllers for the sensors to detect the positions and directions of the controllers. These lights can't be seen by the naked human eye, but you can see them by looking through a home Webcam or smartphone camera. The same can be said about infrared lights. The naked human eye cannot see them, but the device that detects the infrared can. This is another technology some virtual reality systems commonly use, and so do other things like a tripwire laser, or a Nintendo Wii controller, etc.

And those map makers based their maps on navigation that was done using Polaris, the north star, (And they made the maps FOR navigators who would be using Polaris to travel.) Just a thought. • Well, good teachers use this technique to maintain the level of attention of the class when explaining something. Just slip a little story, a "fun fact", something that goes a little "off topic" and kids will, in almost every case, pay attention to you to hear what you're saying and then you can go back to the main topic. This works on adults too. I had a teacher who did this with History lessons, he normally would randomly say a fun fact about spies and it would catch my attention again.
