After putting down the new laundry room countertop and centering our washer and dryer underneath, there were two voids that needed filling. They were just big enough for a couple of narrow carts to slide into. I designed these two carts, one to hold a couple of hampers and another to hold cleaning supplies. They fit perfectly into the spaces but they’ve also been very handy to have! With the hampers right there, we no longer have a mountain of dirty laundry piled on the floor or on top of the washer. And when we need to do some cleaning, all the supplies for the whole house are all together on the other cart. It just feels good to be organized but also to have an efficient and effective solution to some problems that we didn’t really even know we had. Check out the video and watch how these two carts wrap up the laundry room remodel project and see the final reveal when my wife finally gets to see her finished room!

"Sat on my sander, that's exciting." Lol that had me rolling. Great video, Drew. The room really came together and turned out great.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!
I get that allot :P
Thank God for your neighbor, I would imagine there is not much left to their house by now! Lol
Everytime you come up on my feed. I feel like a giddy kid again. GIRL LIKES CONTENT. 👍🏻
😀
“Crawling on the shop floor...” I think that is my new favorite outtake ever! The carts look great in the laundry room really did transform.
Thanks, bud! :)
I was honestly expecting the wife to say "Hey, now that this part is done, how about adding..." followed by a whole laundry list (heh:-), of improvements for the room.
I bet you won't find another laundry room as elegant as yours.
Thanks! :)
Another great video! "I use a rubber mallet to play you the song of my people" I love it!
Thanks, Brian
8:32 before you mention the neighbor's home shopping for stuff, that took you some time! I I alwats wait for the flat screw and the neighbor jokes... Thanks for the ideas and the dad jokes, we need this...
Love it! "I sat on my Sander" 😂😂😂😂
Y'all have a laundry room that is as beautiful as it is functional. Overall 100/10.
Thanks much, Clyde!
That walnut-top is way, way too beautiful to be 'hidden' in a laundry room... (and oh, you forgot the cupholders... for her lattes). Great project, thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
The walnut front on the carts completes the look. Well done, Drew. Boop!
Thanks! Boop!
@12:36, it's the woodworkers version of painting yourself into a corner. I've had to tip toe around a build with my, errrrr, netherregions perilously closed to be crushed. :) Always a happy day when Fisher's Shop drops a video!
Hehe, thanks so much! And thanks for your support!
Great build - simple, yet functional. Your boss, I mean wife is your biggest fan - glad she approves.
Thanks, Kevin!
You've got such great neighbors to have donated so much stuff to your vids over the years...lol.
I am just setting up a nice shop. I’ve viewed dozens of woodworking sites and find Fisher’s site, one of the best. He has a is free to point out the challenges that we will face. but you can tell he really knows his woodworking..
Thanks, I appreciate that
Glad to see the missus is happy
You and me both
Your laundry room is nicer than any room in my house.
Haha, thanks!
Happy wife = happy life :). Great work man, Thanks
You got that right!
“Tap-a-Roos“, I like it👍🏻 I enjoyed the video so much, it even had a happy ending, the boss was happy! Gotta go watch parts 1 & 2 now, lol
Glad you enjoyed it!
"Vandelay! Say Vandelay Indistries!" Have the same shirt in green. Great bulid.
Haha, thanks!
It just comes down to one thing, happy wife, happy life.
You said it!
I have literally had to crawl out of my tiny shop because I glued up a large table and never realized I had completely blocked my path out. Felt so dumb, and then so dusty! Also, great to see such a strong man of God who's also human.
Thanks, brother! :)
Morning Drew, I figured I was headed for some kind of theft for your next project, so I'm glad I found those handles in the neighbors dog run for you to take. Those were temporary....glad to be rid of them honestly, the smell was getting to me. LOL. As for those shelves, I see you're like everybody else. "There is JUST enough room to put ONE more thing in the shelf. I'll have to pull 20 things out of here to get to that ONE item I always need, but we have 'room' for all of this now". Welcome to every cabinet and shelf in my house. My wife does NOT understand that "just because there is room doesn't mean you need to cram it to maximum capacity". EVERY SINGLE CABINET AND SHELF...I reduce, she fills it up...drives me bat stuff crazy!
😉
More of your standard excellence, Sir, thank you. And thank you for showing how to address the one teensy mismeasurement issue.
Thanks, Tom! :)
"The song of my people" LOL
“…and it’s finished!” Possibly the biggest compliment that one spouse can give to another. Great job!
Mine would have followed with..."hey i have some ideas for the den...."
Looks amazing. Super husband points for you. Definitely my favourite outtakes!
:) Thanks, Caroline
I have to admit, I'm both glad and sad that I'm not your next-door neighbor. :)
I love this channel. I like to guess where the flathead/s will be used. Love the dad jokes and might have stolen some. The work is always functional and beautiful. Best of all, my wife doesn't watch this so I can enjoy the show without having to worry about what is about to be added to my build list.
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed the vid! :)
Yes!!! It's always a good day when youtube tells me that there is a new FISHER'S SHOP video.
Man, such a great way to use empty space and make things look tied in. I'd put 'bumpers' on the wall so that the cart would not scratch the paint, but then again, I was also offended by the 1 slotted screw used on the caster 🤣
The quarterround at the bottom prevents the carts from hitting the wall
Beautiful job man ! Great to see Mrs Fisher make an appearance, I just hope she doesn't follow your lead of nicking everything from the neighbour for her daily duties 😂
"Back to building fun stuff" It's like you're a fly on my wall! Great build.
😁
I really enjoy the humor and wit in your videos as well as the craft.
Thanks, Kendall
I crack up at the neighbor jokes every time. 😆
Drew, wonderful addition to the laundry room project! For quite some time I was under the impression the “pop” sounds came with the purchase of the bandy clamps…😞…between this and the 123-321 block revelation you’ve altered my world view.
Haha, glad I could help!
I bought the same clamps as Fisher, but I still can't get mine to make the pop sound.
Love the use of the rolling carts instead of shelves. Much harder to lose track of things when you can see them all! "BOOP." hahaha
Thanks! Yeah, they're working out quite well so far!
That laundry room is a work of art!!! It would make anyone actually enjoy doing laundry! I always love your sense of humor but you were really in rare form on this video. I hope you still have plenty of slotted screws as I know you're making your grandpa proud with each one you use.
Thanks, Lori! Yup, I got zillions left! haha
Hola! 🖐Fantastic job! The money shot is when Mrs. Fisher approves, that I'm sure made it all worth the effort. I'm so close to viewing your catalog of videos and getting caught up to real time!! They get better and better. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊
Thanks so much!
I could watch your outtakes forever!!! Carts look awesome too!
Glad you like them!
Love the entire laundry room
I sincerely hope that some of these outtakes make it into "Outtakes Compilation Part 3". We're almost due for that, aren't we?
Still quite a ways from a part 3 I'm afraid. But it'll happen eventually
I was watching this and thinking drew hasn't stolen anything sorry borrowed anything from the neighbour yet then the handles need acquiring. Gold.
😉
Nice work Mr Fisher. Happy wife, happy life.
You said it
Well, Drew, it appears that we are related. The song of your people is the same as mine. See you at the next family reunion!
See ya there!
GREAT project Drew, the neighbor got off easy on this one! !! !!!
Brilliant project sir. All you need to do now is put some custom hangers in to rid yourself of the plastic ones 😉
Nice job it all looks great. The close up at the end was terrifying!!!!!
Boop!
Looks great, especially when taken together with the other projects and as always, love the bloopers. Glad to see someone else has the same issues I do when working on a project. Sometimes it seems like you can't do one without a situation like the hoses coming up. It always makes me wonder why something that should be so simple has to be such a frickin' struggle. Well done
Thanks so much!
Star Wars Hamper Bags... You got a huge chuckle out of me on that one!
😉
Your laundry room looks better than my living room. What a beautiful job! The video was hilarious as always. It's great to see my bell light up with a new classic from Fisher's Shop. Thanks for sharing and for keeping the slotted screw tradition in tact. Grandpa would be proud.
Thanks a bunch! :)
your videos make me laugh more than anything on youtube!
Not sure if I watch to learn about woodworking or just get a great laugh...keep up the great work...Stitches..
Thanks 👍
That is a lucky woman!!!!
Love the scripture on the wall
Thanks
I'm just going to echo the other comments. 😂 The laundry room came out FANTASTIC! I loved Mrs. Fisher's reaction. It is such a great feeling when our wives love a project as much as we do. And the outtakes were great! "That was exciting!" 🤣 And the ending was perfect. 5 stars!
Thank you so much!!
Great work and your such a woodworking master that you can put clamps on AND operate your sander simultaneously-awesome.😅😅
That turned out absolutely beautiful Drew and the love in your wife’s voice…..priceless
Thank you kindly
There can’t be much more than an empty lot next door by now. 😂😂
I love the humour of your posts! Great projects as well.
Thanks!
You made that into a dream laundry room, Bravo sir!
Thanks, Dylan!
Laundry room came out super nice! Hopefully mine will come out just as good. Or at least good enough for my wife! 😂
Love the pieces and the flat head screw. I lol when I knew it was coming. There seemed to be more bloopers on this than most projects.
You earned wife points, well done.
I just wish they didn't expire each day. :)
I like the popping sounds... Now you need an "Un-Popping" sound!!!
I love the out takes. Lol so funny!
Man, that your neighbors after all those years still not have got why their stuff gets "disappearing".
If only Fish could describe what went through his head the exact second he realized the 2nd cart wouldn't fit.
10:35….best part of the video. Nice job brother! Cheers from Ontario!
Thanks Rick!!
You are an amazing woodworker. Thank you for sharing your skills for our viewing pleasure.
Thank you very much!
Good job on the laundry room carts Drew! Thank you for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP
You bet
@@FishersShop 😎
Well I must say, those two carts really were the finishing touches, I'm envious. The top counter is great as well. Its amazing how much your neighbor contributed to this build. Always a pleasure to watch you create, thanks for sharing :)
Thanks, Regina!
I love the clamping sound effects. Makes my day every time.
When you went for the cleaner, was expecting “some snacks” instead. 🤷♂️🤣
I shoulda done that. haha
I was genuinely excited when I saw you had a new video uploaded. You're laundry room looks amazing! I can never let my wife see these videos 😆
Hehe. Thanks!
You always have some of the very best videos . They are both entertaining & educational , always enjoy .You did surprise me , it took you awhile to raid your neighbors house this time .
Hehe :)
They came out great Drew! Custom built in look is fantastic!
Thanks Mike!
You and Brad from Fix This Build That should do a collaboration #mistakesweremade episode talking about the reality of being a hobbyist/diyer and the best ways to overcoming the challenges of wrong measurements, screwing something in the wrong spot, etc. That would be super awesome to watch and learn from. Seriously, I love seeing when people own their humanity, instead of being perfect, thanks to the magic of editing.
The laundry room looks great! Thanks for sharing.
You bet! Thanks for watching
Wow! The laundry room looks amazing. Well done, Drew! Those carts really added a nice finishing touch to the whole project.
Drew??? I thought his name was Ned Flanders...
Yeah I think so too. Thanks!
@@FishersShop I'm glad you didn't took this as offence. All the best and love from Serbia :)
I needed a laugh! Thank you Drew! Dang the build came out so nice!!
Thanks, Henry!
Thank you for sharing your bloopers. Make me feel more like a woodworker
You are the best Mr fisher.
:) Thanks!
I always enjoy it when you play us the song of your people. Such an inspiring tune!!
😀
How he had the restraint to not put in some wall mounted soft close drawer slides and over complicate this is amazing to me.
Very nice make over on the laundry room.
Thank you! 😊
Another great build Drew
Thanks!
Great room. I miss your videos!! More more more!! ❤️👏❤️
More to come!
The whole Laundry Room build was overall a Brilliant piece of Workmanship, too much? oh ok then, how about, great build Drew well done, how was that ha ha ha. Stay Safe, Barry (ENG)
Hehe, thanks Barry! :)
Happy wife happy life
A Cup of coffee and Drew's awesome woodworking skills coupled with the hilarious outtakes, makes you wish that his video's was 30min long so that it is roughly the same time as your favourite tv series. Keep it up, your channels rocks.
Thanks, Nicky!
Glad you mentioned the “burns” on the edge banding. I swear, no matter what I do, I always get a few strips with a few burn marks when I make the hardwood edge bands. Even with new blades on my sawstop. Great vid to…subbed!!!
Hey, thanks! Glad you liked it. Welcome!
I built a version of your flip top cart. There are 8 slotted screws on it. Time for you to up your game in the slotted screw department... There is also the required unnecessary walnut drawer pull.
They look great Drew! Nicely done!
Thanks, Bruce!
Judging by the bosses reaction you hit that out of the park. Great job. And I've come to the conclusion that rather than annoy us with the flathead screws we would actually probably worry you were sick and dying or something if you didn't use at least one every time. hahhaha Love the content brother, and best of luck with all your endeavors.
Thanks a bunch, man! :)
I always love seeing a Fisher's Shop video appear in my feed. I struggle with my mental health, and your videos always lift my spirits! Thank you so much for your amazing work.
Glad I can help a bit! Thanks, Rich!
I really need to meet the neighbor! LOL Pretty Patient if you ask me!
I’m offended that your neighbor wasn’t mentioned in this video!!! 😂🤣 That was a great project drew thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!!!
Sounds like you need to watch it again
If you sit on your sander, you could get a little behind in your work. God bless you sir! Hard to find wholesome content on KZhead nowadays.
That's top-notch humor right there. lol!
