Thames Perch Catch And Cook

Simon,Vito and Jess head out on the canoe to catch a perch for their lunch….. look out for the spitfire.
Don’t hate on me for pulling a fish out the river for my lunch. Hate on the mass fishing trawlers that rape the oceans for your canned Sandwich fillers. Hate on the Japanese whaling fleets that hunt endangered species to near extinction. Don’t hate on a hungry guy that’s well within the law and right to responsibly catch a perch and bbq it.
Tune in next week where I strangle a red squirrel for my breakfast.
Side note
People catch and cook salmon and trout all across Uk rivers. There’s a lot more perch than trout in the Thames.

  • Nice trip. Loved the sound contrast between the Spitfire engine and your outboard.

  • Best way to camp…get out there and make a day of it, plan on camping, then head home to sleep in bed. It’s how I prefer it these days.

  • Thames perch are full of worms due to the sewage dumped into the river by Thames Water. Bit late finding that out i know...

    • Still? The Thames is cleaner now than it’s ever been.

    • Fish in any river will have parasites, cooking it will get rid of any unwanted bacteria and parasites anyway so I wouldn't worry, plus if your in London the Thames is probably a lot worse than the part of the Thames I fish which is rather clean

  • i completely agree with the video description mate. it annoys me how the native beauties we have in our waters most people turn their noses up at. in most other countries alot of fish species are ate other than the fish shop cod haddock or plaice. i watch tons of fishing videos and people catch whiting at the beach and they scoff swear and throw it back and would rather have a blank i say nooo nooo that fish is a hearty supper right there. same with this perch or pike. in sweden its common place to eat such fish with carp its the most commonly ate fish in all of asia yet people in this country wouldnt touch carp with a 15 foot pole rod wink wink bargepole

    • I agree too I fish and eat some so long as it's within legal limits, but I've had people have a go at me for killing crayfish which are invasive so I wouldn't worry about it plus the people who do have a go tend to not be very educated on the matter and assume it's illegal to kill the fish without doing any research simply because they think it's cruel

    • @@Dencar85 yeah that annoys me about the Cray's! It's just uneducated people that have no idea about how the world really works. I throw them in with the electric car wankers that think they are saving the planet. Cheers for the comment 👍🏼
