We are Stoyan and Dessy from Bulgaria. We are not organization, neither a shelter, we are just an ordinary couple with a big dream. Everything we provide for the stray cats is coming from our own pockets or with the help of donations from our subscribers. We have 4 cats at home, all rescued from the streets - Sopolcho & Bagheera live with us while Alexa & Rijo live with Dessy's mom, who has been feeding and caring of stray animals for the last 10 years. Bulgaria is a small and poor country with lots of stray cats and not enough kind people to take them in. Our dream is to build a shelter where we could take care of many stray cats with the help of Dessy's mom. Seeing an animal abandon all instincts just because they’re starving and accept food is absolutely heartbreaking. They don’t care why, but they’re getting fed. No animal should ever feel like that. Humans included.
I was homeless for 3 years. Before I had to leave the house I was in, I made sure my pet had a good home. He was fostered thank God. I didn't care about me, but at least my dog ended up having a good home even though it broke my heart.

The fact the dog was shivering when he was in front of the heater means he was hypothermic. He wasn’t shivering in the freezing cold because his body had given up and he was dying. Thank you for saving his life.

Two winters ago I found a stray on the highway. Tried to find if she had an owner. Vets said the rescue wouldn't take her because of her estimated age and poor health. He gave her 2 months. She's sitting right next to me watching this clip.

If that were my dog and he was lost out in the cold, I’d have my ass out there freezing myself, looking for him to get him home safe. We don't know that yet. You might be right but keep an open mind. He wasn't skinny at all and his fur wasn't matted - not any more than if my maine coon cat or shih tzu were outside for a few hours. He may simply be lost. In any case, thank goodness for the kindness of these people who very obviously saved his life. He may have been struck by a car - that's often the cause of a leg injury. Cute little fella - he looks like a big cocker spaniel!

And I am always worried about mind set of people who think first that some psycho left dog out on the cold on purpose. There are many reasons why was dog out on the cold. Dogs love snow, after all, they often wonder off and their owners can’t find them, once it becomes freezing is the moment when dogs get scared. This dog is well fed, pure bread, and no trace of abuse. Dogs often limp when they are cold, or even get cut out of snow. I grew out with dogs, so I know their nature quite well. Don’t make conclusions unless you know exact circumstances. Assuming there’s some evil person mistreat a dog doesn’t make you a good person, just bitter.

I can't imagine having a dog long enough to get old and then letting him live their final days alone. My 13 year old shih-tzu was on heart medication so he couldn't start stroke medication. We couldn't do anything about his strokes and he eventually died to one, I can't imagine if he had had it on the street. I'm so glad I got to be there with him. I won't ever understand that :(

I have a Blue Heeler pup and my biggest fear is that he manages to run off out of curiosity and he doesn’t come back. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DOGS FOLKS! It doesn’t matter how smart they are. The smartest dogs find their way back, but they also find themselves in sticky situations due to their curiosity.

@@petesthename1588 Thats actually not true, especially if theyve never been in the wild or on their own before. People make it seem like cats dont need help or to be rescued. Their natural habitat isnt just anywhere. Different areas and climates and stuff make it much harder for cats to survive as well. A long haired cat stuck in the heat and unable to find water for example will die if not rescued. Its not as easy for them to survive without us anymore because theyre domesticated and theres so many of them in places they weren't supposed to be and arent suitable for cats. Its a common misconception.

Many years ago I found a starving dog in the cold of January. He was a collie/golden mix and he only weighed 30 pounds his ribs and all his bones were showing and he was almost dead. I took him in, warmed him and fed him and later took him to the vet. He was my wonderful friend for 12 years and then sadly he died of cancer. God Bless you for helping this poor little guy. I hope you have a long life together.

I tried to save an abandoned kitten that had been in the same condition, but she passed away a few hours later sadly.
Whenever my family and I see a hurt animal the first thing we do is try to help it, we've tried saving multiple birds, a few other animals, and a cat. We ended up saving a cat in really bad condition He lived outside my grandma's old home, which was a motel. One day when my mom took us to visit our grandma I heard a meow a while after I got out of the car. I was looking around and then I saw a kitten coming towards me. I freaked out because he was so dirty and he looked so hungry. I told my sister and she started crying. We told our mom and when I tried to pick up the kitten my mom didn't let us because he was dirty. My grandma brought the kitten to a small building with a large sink and washing machines and took the kitten a bath. My grandma told us that the kitten kept coming over to her door and she kept feeding him. Once he was clean we decided to take him home, we had a black cat named Shadow so we had cat food. We fed the kitten and I came up with the name Sunrise. My sisters agreed and we named him Sunrise. Our cats got along after a while, and we usually saw them chilling outside. Sunrise was a lot better than when we found him. And he was almost all grown up. But one day Sunrise ran away to be with his girlfriend, and he had kittens too. My mom knew because she heard all of it from other neighbors. I occasionally see Sunrise because he still lives in our neighborhood, I don't know where exactly he lives though. Sunrise has gotten a lot bigger than he used to be, I don't know what he's eating though. He's hunting down rats and birds or something. Maybe he even shows up in our backyard to eat some of the cat food we leave out but who knows.

As a veterinary professional, this gives me so much hope in humanity. Have seen some horrible things. It’s people like you who make the job worth it 😊 thank you for caring for him ❤️
This dog got helped and it cost 0 dollars. If someone would of brought this dog to a vet. They would said it required surgery for it's back leg. And it would cost 2000 dollars. And they would require half. I've been there. There a few out there that are empathic. Then there are ones that have empathy. They care but they want the green before even trying to attempt to help.
It really balances out. There are moments like these of true goodness and kindness from humanity. But then reality reminds you that there are just as many if not more moments of the worst of humanity: extinct and endangered species caused by humans, war, murder, rape, genocide, etc happening all over the world everyday. So, having hope in humanity, not having hope; doesn't make much difference unfortunately.

Unfortunately, praying doesn't do anything. All we have to do is look around and see all the animals who die when no one is there to rescue them. The more we deal with reality, the better off we'll be. It takes people to make a difference.

This is how I got my current cat. He kept coming up to the house for food. We and some of the other neighbors were feeding him but one day he came up with snow all over him and I said "that's it, you have to come inside". He's lived here for like 10 years now.

Im kind of in the same situation there’s this stray cat that has been coming up to us for the past weeks and we always give him food. At times, i badly wanna keep him but we have a dog who always fights with him. I dont know what else to do. Any suggestions?

@@Toppaz-ro3mn there are videos of dogs seemingly giving up on life. Like there was one video of a dog sitting in a ditch waiting to die, until some people forcefully pulled him out. The ditch wasn't that deep, the dog could have gotten out himself

You do know his videos are fake, right? Especially the cat videos. He's reused footage, and even cats in them, then different cats as the recovered cats. Officer Paw Patrol did a little digging, and even compared footage of his other videos from his original channel. Which he deleted once people started putting it together on their own. I recommend watching Officer Paw Patrol.
