  • What is wrong in this world, where humans think it's okay to abuse and animal and just throw her away. She had to miss her puppies so much and the humans took them away, no wonder she was depressed and unsure of who she could trust. I know it wasn't easy to get her relaxed enough to trust you and go on a walk with the pack. Thank you so much for being Lucy's hero !!

    • Greed is a horrible thing. Once they couldn't make money off her puppies anymore, they didn't want her anymore. She was just a tool. So glad Lee found her. The rest of her life will be the polar opposite of the early years

She'd been bounced house to house so much, getting into a vehicle just meant insecurity. It took many, MANY trips, doing just every random errand with her along for the ride, to convince her our house was her forever home, that we'd always be coming back to the same place. I'll always remember the day she didn't tremble, but got happy, when I got the collar and leash out. Man, she was such a great dog. When a dog checks in with you they’re looking for your lead, that reassurance & trust that a pack leader gives, the fact that a severely emotionally damaged dog is checking in with you as her pack lead after only a week is truly a magical thing, that’s gotta make you feel great! • @@calebrichardson5259 Many people who adopt dogs that show signs of abuse, will automatically focus on the symptoms and never let the dog get past their psychological abuse. Instead they reward the fear and nervousness with affection. This only encourages and rewards unhealthy behaviors that keep them recovering and building trust and happiness.

    • Indeed the other dogs all took some of her worries and pain, even the horses. That way she can move forward, step by step gets easier. But not without you near. You were her only motivation. All was new, nice was new. The riverwater will strengthen her bellymuscles and her internal tears (must have been many) could slowly float away with the water. That was a nice meal you prepared her Asher ! Until her last days she'll remember that.

    • Action speaks louder than voice is too much real in dogs they dont need to hear or see they know emotions run deep.. Fun fact: my dogs know when im out of money.. If i dont give him meat he just eat biscuits.. Means he dont enjoy much biscuits but he do eat not rejecting or making himself hungry for meat..

    • @@deathchronicles6960 I don't know where, but I heard there are places that will help you feed your doggies if you can't afford it. Check it out online. Maybe call your local Humane Society and ask them. If you lived near me in Alabama, I would help with dog food.
