  • Despite her initial blasé approach, the whole "I'm paying attention to other things" behavior is a sign she's trying to be less intimidating. It's actually quite sweet.

  • Luna does everything to show red kitty that she is not a threat. Blinking, stretching, yawning, seeming interested in other things. She can feel that he is uneasy and wants him to be comfortable. So sweet of her!

    • Yeah I'm not trusting universal cat language out in the wild. ..I'd take it to mean "eating u is no work for me, I can do it in my ZZZ." Same as me thinking I understood 1 word she said in that video... I didn't but the words I herd in my head cracked me up. Like when little cat ran down hall 2 where other was. My interpreter in my head said she said " Hey u little kitty come back here she may eat u for a snack if u not careful "

Not sure either if she's going to loose her patience with him later and not eating him, but you know just being a panther, cause this cat seems too confident of himself and unaware of his size to me

  • Luna is so chill. If the boy cat doesn’t want to engage she gives him space and goes and does her own thing. After a while she comes back and gives it another try. She’s patient and intelligent

    • Yeah, I think the first reaction upon seeing the panther was "Great, my owner is a psychopath and I'm about to be eaten", then when he hears the marriage plans "Well this is an improvement, my owner is simply insane. Not perfect, but an improvement." :)

    • He's not huge for a Maine Coon. They get up to 35lbs. I have a 23lb Norwegian which are similar. My boy's the same size maybe a little bigger than Red.

  • У рыжего кота сердце ушло в пятки, то бишь 😅 в задние лапы. Он хоть и бандит и бешкетник, но похоже в прединфарктном состоянии, особенно после озвученного мамой плана на их совместный брак. Бедному коту такое и в самом страшном сне не могло приснится 😅!

  • Меня всегда смешит момент,когда коты изучают какой-то,сильно интересующий их запах,и у них вдруг резко отваливается челюсть.😊Луна в этом случае ведёт себя,как обычный кот.

    • А чего у него осталось. Выражить героизм или дать себя просто сожрать? Рыжий просто молодец, а хозаева Луны подлецы или просто подонки. У обойх кошек искуственно, от хозаеных причиненный стрес. Один не знаеть как сопротивлятса а другой не можеть просто зазрать маленкого - ведь воспитанный или дрессованный?

    • Hope so too. A large wild cat and a lion aren't exactly what I'd call pets or domestic 🤔😕😐😅. She's got her hands full whatever her name might be. I don't know but I hope she doesn't get jealous either. Cats are unpredictable 😳 especially big cats 🐈 such as tigers panthers and lions.

  • Cats are not particularly social animals, it's always rough introducing them, because they will _always_ stand off or panic a bit. I don't think Luna is disinterested, I think she is trying to appear non-threatening by not focusing on him. This is a good sign!

    • nahh, the cat is just not considered as a threat by the leopard, give the size difference. she was more curious as to what that small red thing was. that's why the leopard didn;t even flinch, no matter how much the cat hissed. it's like a small child shouting and trying to be threatening to an adult person, it's just funny.

  • I’m glad Luna doesn’t take offense, the little kitty doesn’t know what to think. A little nervous hissing, Luna is keeping distance, such a sweet loving girl. This is a great exercise for Luna. Red kitty is daring her, & Luna is like, “well, ok then” &walks away. It’s quite apparent Victoria knows exactly how to approach 1 or both cats. Interesting. Thanks.

    • My cat would not exhibit this kind of regal composure. She has very little experience with non-humans and other cats freak her right out. I’m not entirely sure she realizes she is a cat herself. I know it seems odd because she recognizes herself in the mirror and likes to check herself out when I’m brushing her.

    • He's a Maine Coone so much larger than regular house cats and he's also a orange kitty. They are bold and courageous, sometimes they don't recognize the danger around them. The woman warns her off "Don't be so bold!". My orange cat is the same, she wants to dominate everyone (other cats and even humans - she hisses and strikes you if you do something she doesn't like). She's sometimes too bold for her own good. I mean I dropped a glass jar which broke in a million little pieces and made a loud noise close to her head as she was following me in the kichen and was close to my legs. She didn't flinch or run or anything. I think that I got more scared than she did. I picked her up and got her out of the kitchen to sweep the floor of all that glass so she won't hurt her paws. Most cats would have run to the hills if anything was dropped near them, but not her. It's sweet as she seems to feel very secure in my proximity, but this is not a cat that would survive as stray.

  • Red Lion looks like a beautiful Maine Coon! Long body, strong frame, robust muzzle, and lynx tips! Maine Coons are the greatest creatures; real purring machines. They are very smart. I never had to train my ginger Maine Coon, Marshal Ney, to walk on the leash, he just started doing it and we now walk around the block. He opens doors, and many other tricks.

    • Actually it's because Luna is a hybrid of an Amur leopard, which she takes after most. I had the same thought as you and I had to get to the bottom of it, look at Amur leopards and you'll see what soft creatures they are. They have those same sweet eyes. Although I agree that all tame big cats seem to have a gentle, innocent look compared to wild..but the amur leopard is a very docile, fluffy leopard compared to the southern leopards we are used to.

    • There is no such thing as a domesticated Panther. Tamed, yes, but not domesticated. Remember that a panther has a bite force of over 1000psi, where as a pitbull only has a bite force of around 240psi. Also, panthers have a powerful strike with their claws.

  • I have liked black leopards since I was a child. Amazing animals. Luna is a very well socialized. I think it all depends on how much love a creature receives, when it's young, while being raised. Animals also instinctively feel love, which is also reflected in Luna's behavior. I consider both the caring lady and her lovely husband to be very wonderful people. There should be many people like them on earth. If it were so, then there would be no wars and many other bad things that reasonable and good-natured people do not need. Greetings from Hungary!

    • This is the biggest mistake people make is applying human emotion to an animal. The smartest animals should be able to understand us better and therefore love us most right? Well than why is it that chimpanzees rip peoples faces off and orcas turn on trainers and kill them? Orcas are probably 100 time more intelligent than cats so what can be expected of a cat ? Remember even dogs that have been domesticated for 100s of years will still see kids as prey and maul them occasionally. Stop applying human emotion to animals, you can love them but keep the shotgun really close by.

  • Пару раз Луна ушки всё же прижала, по-моему, чтобы в глаза гостю посмотреть. Но Вы её переключили. Так - то для своего вида она просто сама доброта. Даже сложно предположить, сколько времени и труда Вы вкладываете, чтобы леопард был такой милой, а главное, управляемой кошкой.

    • So etwas funktioniert nur mit einem außerordentlichen Einfühlungsvermögen und Liebe und kann nicht erzwungen werden. Es ist schon bei einer normalen Hauskatze ein kleines Wunder , aber bei einem Leoparden ist es nochmal außergewöhnlicher so eine Sozialisierung zu erreichen . Im sanften Verhalten von Luna erkennt man den Charakter ihrer Besitzerin der sich in dem großen schönen Tier widerspiegelt und das Vertrauen welches die faszinierende Panter lady ihrer menschlichen Mutter entgegenbringt ist faszinierend 💞 auch ist die rote Main Coon nicht nervös . Anscheinend sind beide neugierig aufeinander und versuchen sich kennenzulernen 🐈💕🐱 . .
