Gasquet stats in a video game: Forehand: 50 Serve: 50 Backhand : 99
his forehand was pretty good that time. Got a lot worse, especially after 2013 but it wasn't a big weakness in his early years.
@@arvidl5666 yeah, lot of forehand winners in this particular match
I was actually surprised seeing him hit so well🤷🏻♂️
In 2005 he had a great forehand
Sadly after around 2010 he started to develop the helicopter take back and buggy whip finish that turned his forehand into nothing more than a defensive moonball
07:01 That's probably the best backhand return in history of tennis
João Victor Campos Nope. This is: kzhead.info/sun/q8-xnbSDoaWLnZs/bejne.html Also on grass
@@johnd.rockefeller3304 also a sick hit, but I'll keep with Gasquet, cuz he's a one hander
João Victor Campos True, one handed returns are much harder to hit
John D. Rockefeller yeah it is, that cross backhand return from Djoko is one of the beauty in tennis
Agree, Gasquet BH is glorious and some kind of art... Unfortunately, mentally, physically and FH was not that good. But just his backhand is pure marvel.
This Backhand of gasquet 🤩🤩🤩
My feedback for these videos is that there doesn’t need to be a slow motion replay after every single point. It really does slow down the flow of what are great highlights.
I disagree, I like those videos to be like the best of o real match, not simply highlights.
Slow motion slows things down? No way.
but no doubt he always had great talent especially with that beautiful backhand
@13:07 Best backhand I have ever seen!
sorry Wawrinka has the best one ! He has hit better than that...even on Grand slam final
@@georges6957 Sorry to disappoint you...You discover player when they win a tournament....Did you know that Wawrinka played Roma Master Series 2008 Final ? at the end of the tournament was ATP n 9...What do you mean by being known ? Go and watch ATP Miami Master Series 2008 Wawrinka vs Nadal and you ll see him hitting backhands.....The first time i discover his skill was during that match Few months later he became ATP Top 10....
@@georges6957 Wawrinka was under the shadow just because there were another swiss wining everything...this is why he was not on media not advertised as he deserved....Winning Monaco Master Series in 2014 in front of Federer was a good move to draw the media attention...But for so many years he was underratted...I know him since 2008 by then i was saying this guy is wonderful he just need to be concentrated and he ll earn big wins...
@@georges6957 You may also watch both when they play at RG...Wawrinka merely teach Gasquet how to hit a backhand...Do you know what is the difference ? This Game you are advertising Gasquet loose it...Wawrinka did magnified the BACKHAND during Grand Slam finals go and watch RG 2015 final and just make your own judgment...Gasquet is like a glimpse....Wawrinka will be remember as the best one hand back hand of the open Era...Go to youtube and View "70 backhands by Wawrinka "just admire the variety ( how he holds the raquet where he sends the ball) Gasquet is limited to 2 or 3 stroke with its backhand...
@@georges6957 My dear i have clearly understand what you have said.. please read carefully. I told you , you did not have an eye on Wawrika before 2013 like many...A lot of tennis viewers discover him during his 5 hours game versus Djokovic at Australian open in 2013 ( He end that 5 sets thriller loosing but with 60 winners,at least 20 backhands : Gasquet nevers hit such a higher number of backhands during a game) So you are right, since you did not know him before. what i m telling you i personnaly discover him at Miami MS 3rd round vs Nadal in 2008 It was the first time i saw him hitting backhands. The game were are discussing is 2 years later
I remember watching this match and I remember the storyline. It was like Gasquet won in Nice if I remember correctly and for the first two sets, he was playing unbelievable tennis. Then he lost a little bit of energy and ran out of gas pretty quickly.
Yeah, he was just "quet" by the ending of the match.
Typical Gasquet sadly...
Yes. He flattered to deceive more often than not!
I was in Paris that day is saw really hot!!!!!!
Greatest Single Handed Backhand of all time...
Wawrinka

Gasquet wishes he had Federer's backhand.
Thank you uploading.
But, why not 2016? kzhead.info/sun/q9qffK6laoqAfH0/bejne.html
Gasquet vs Wawrinka 2013 next!
When Gasquet hits a hot streak there virtually nothing you can do about it. He’s phenomenal until he’s not anymore and gasses out.
Awesome angle! Love it
Monday 24th May 2010
This match and the 2013 match from Gasquet vs Wawrinka were really good, shame he didnt win either one.
Yeah, im hardcore gasquet fan and over the years saw him lose more big matches than win… In the end i have to take his career for what it was: still not that bad.
Wonderful
I don’t remember this encounter but the 2016 FO was one I remember well, Gasquet was cramping towards the end.
extraordinaire match
Gasquet has such a good volley.
Please put up Federer vs Djokovic RG 2011 semi-final
Im still waiting for Gulbis vs Federer or Federer vs Haas
1080p? YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS?
Sa fais plaisir de voir sa
6 mots, 3 fautes. Tu as tué le game👏
I couldnt count how many backhand winners Gasquet did this match, unbeleivable backhand winners …
What power from Gasquet whoosh
I spend nights watching Gasquet backhand winners
Coria vs Gaudio next please!!
Okay gasquets backhand was fire, but also he was killing it in his forehand side too this match. What happened?!
Were did this aggressive Gasquet go, hitting good forehands nice and flat and attacking at the right time.
Gasquet was really exhausted after two sets
Great video, but why do you tell us what happens before it happens? Whats the highlights for then....
9:29 How does Gasquet not hit that linesman?
Please post graf vs seles 92 final
FROMFRANCE 🇲🇫 Tu as échoué Richard, tu n'as pas vengé Napoléon !
the most beautiful shot in tennis is gasquet's backhand
FEDERER NADAL 2007
The 2nd time he choked a 2 set lead against Murray, 1st was the 4th round at wimbledon 2008, murrays breakthrough tournament. Murray continued to go up and Gasquet nearly all but collapsed from that point onwards litterd with a few random semi finals now and again. With all the talent he has, he didnt make a GS final, 1 Masters final (Hamburg, lost to fed) in 2005 , 3 GS semi finals, what a disappointing career, after he was the hyped one when he was a child, more than Nadal, Djokovic and Murray. Shame really, mentally he was just not up to it, not get me wrong id give my left nut for his career, but he had the talent for much, much more.
Yeah, somehow didnt work, idk why exactly. Forehand too weak
@@TheRealSuperwiesel Till 2013 the Fh was okay. After that it was bad.
14:14 lol, back before Djokovic turned into a machine. Now Djokovic has the best defence, even at 32
Before 2011 Djokovic had more muscle mass and was a more offensive player
Djoko was a loser before 2011 getting abused by everyone
Religious Talk Of course, being world number 3 naturally means he was being ‘abused by everyone’
@@tnuyx9405 Melzer destroyed his ass in Roland Garros in 2010, embarrassing
Please do Djokovic vs thiem 2019 sf
monfils vs berdych R1 2013
Gasquet is so underrated
Gaetano Schettino you mean he is an underachiever he’s always had the talent
@@AndrewHealey yes I mean this
his game is underrated he is an inconsistent player; remember in 2007 he was atp n 7 and played the master cup...what did he won ? Nothing....only atp 250 tournaments !!! No MS, no GS, no ATP500
Awful highlights. We don't need or want 20 seconds of slowmo replays after EVERY SINGLE POINT
I think we could cast Andy Murray in Grumpy Old Men 3, Tennis Vacation. What do you think?
What's the music from 00:35 to 01:30?

Wasn't two sets and a break up against Murray at Wimbledon in 2008 as well? Gasquet was talented as hell, but also a massive choker.
İt cant be first round it looks like final !
Murray wins a point. No replay. Gasquet wins, 50 replays.
As it should be
What did happen in 6:45?
If I remember correctly, Andy was faking injury, like pretending his back hurt after Richard hit a winner.
Is this match final at RG 2010?
This is first round.
Porco I misunderstood😂 Thank you ☺️
@@mattlee7463 The 2009 final did not, and so 2015 and 2016 ^^ Btw you can see on the scoreboard at each break "premier tour" which means first round in french. Do you intend to put into jail anyone unable to speak french ? xD
@@mattlee7463 I know it but if Kh迷い猫 cant guess by himself this game is not the final, I doubt he knows which are good rafas years or not xD
Gasquet was awesome in the 1st two sets. I wonder why he lost?
Because of the last 3
If Gasquet has a better forehand he definitely would be a grandslam champion... I thought he has the worst forehand of all 100 atp players..
You've clearly never seen Paire's forehand.
No, Gasquet is mentally weak. He has not the attitude or the fighting spirit of a GS champion.
Gasquet lacked fitness and mentality, he was good in tight matches with a bit of drama But usually he ended losing those matches, he was a Prodigy at young age But improved very little to be a great champion, like Monfils who just have lasted More due to His atleticism
Murray’s better movement is the key difference between the two.
I don't know..but Murray and Wawrinka always has trouble facing Gasquet...but not Djokovic, Nadal and Federer...
Richard un des seuls joueurs Français que je respecte humble discret rien à voir avec Monfils et Paire qui sautent de partout lorsqu’ils marquent un petit point ! 🤦🏻♂️
I think Gasquet is more talented than Murray, but Murray obviously turned into a better player with more success. Gasquet has an old school game, he has a wonderful backhand, a pretty good volley, good touch, a good serve and for a while had a decent forehand, but mentally he wasn't strong. He also didn't have the stamina either, but I wonder sometimes if his mental toughness had a part to do with that when it came to tight moments, and led to many 2-0, 2-1 matches which he lost.
Gasquet is in no way more talented than Murray, he doesn't do a single better than Murray.
For me it's less mentally than physically. If he just had 20km/h faster serve and forehand, and better physical condition after >3h he would have got a positive H2H against Murray, Ferrer, Wawrinka...and not that bad against big3, and probably grand slams.
Guasquet struggling physically
Wow Roland garros just can never get highlights right first their too short and now their the right amount of time but with way too much time between points and not showing the good point smh
10:48 gasquet forehand is not that bad
Gasquet should of won that match
Well, its no coincidence he lost here and there. His game in the first three sets was extremely based on absolute magic shots and momentum. His forehand cross is barely ever there against right handers and basically hes too defensive with the forehand 💁♂️
@@TheRealSuperwiesel ok
la lutte de la fiscalité
Very interesting to think, over 10 years ago the weather at Roland Garros was warm and sunny. Fast forward to today, it seems to be chilly. Alot of players men and women wear long sleeved undershirts and long underwear to keep their bodies warm
très beau joueur pas assez détendu
Gasquet physical condition is why he isnt go top5
Shame Gasquet was not a better athlete, could’ve been top 5 on talent, and maybe sneaked a slam like Stan (certainly has as good a raquet)...
problème aux omoplates
Murray's lobs..
In the third set, looks like one of the players ran out of gas, 'k ... 😋...despite all those most wonderful backhands.
such an underachiever Gasquet he could of won more like at least one masters 1000 title
Yeah, gifted but no mental skills.
@@Porco566 very true dude
Murray's forehand was awful at clay courts at old years!!
ガス欠さん・・・
One small question: Which one is Gasquet and which one Murray?
Before I write a comment to you, one small question : which one is me and which one is you?
@@jpegovitch it was a joke you stupid, because they both look so similar.
I was sure Murray would lose this
Who was that French commentator who talks sometimes? He's so annoying lol every 4 years he seems to stop by
Henri Leconte?
Back to when Murray was not British yet, but the whiney Scot.
22:13 : ''He does nothing but running, he's a rat'' coming from the guy who spent his whole career 3m behind his baseline hahahah
Murray whining at every single point
Stop this stupid music for god sake!!
