The Office for Women in this country can’t define what a woman actually is. What a time to be alive.
I'm reasonably sure the silly woman who cannot put even a coherent bit of response is a teacher, or a retired teacher. Leftist mob.

Honestly, this subservience to gender ideology is making it obvious exactly why women have been oppressed for thousands of years. Not so much lying in my view. Don't forget these women have to work under transgender ideology doctrine that the government has internalised after intense lobbying and threats by trans radicals. They can loose their jobs even if they question this! Trans affirmation by stealth is also affecting women in these positions.

A guy in our local area applied for a grant designed only for female business start ups and claimed to be a transwoman. (he wasn't, he was gaming the system) he got the grant.
I couldn't imagine it would have a day that people would struggle so much to answer a simple question.

Yes, that’s where I see the problem is too. It’s polite to use she/her pronouns with trans-women, and maybe some other areas such as violence they can be included, but areas such as health are only relevant for (biological) women.

So basically according to the definition of what a woman is by The Office for Women, anyone can be a woman. It’s because of idiocy like this that biological women in women’s sport are in danger of becoming an irrelevance. The senator should have asked the panel member whether she was a woman or not, and if so, on what basis did she come to that conclusion. That would have been interesting, unlike the drivel of her response. I did laugh that four women sat looking at each other pretty clueless and had to scrabble around for some paper written definition 😀
Most women's sports were already irrelevant but I know what ya mean.

The whole point of their department was useless in the first place, even when only women were women. Not for them, of course, who earn very good salaries paid by tax payers.
Oh my god! Well I can safely say that I've been a man (i.e. not a woman) all my life and I've had very little instruction on what a woman is apart from a very embarrassing (for the teachers) sex education lesson in primary school back in the early '70s. Despite such brief and limited guidance, I can still confidently report that I am 100% certain as to what/who a woman is and even though I am a fully qualified man (i.e. not a woman), I would happily share the full range of my knowledge of the subject with the Australian Office for Women (free of charge), including those four esteemed members of that agency who appeared to be somewhat confused by the seemingly straightforward question from the *Right Honourable Senator for Tasmania, Claire Chandler.* I cannot imagine how those four women (i.e. not men) on that bench could, without shame, face their families at home later in the day after that utterly bizarre performance! I can only guess that the lockdown in Australia has had a particularly unique and severe impact on many people's cognitive function over there.

@@jackjohnson6230 equality comes to opportunities and treatment. Why men have weight categories at weightlifting? Is that equality? It is equal opportunity by setting fair rules. As 47 kilo I can’t be expected to compete against a guy at 90 kilos for weightlifting, same way he can’t be expected to be as fast as me on a horse because of his mass.
