Return to a world of two realities: one, everyday life; the other, what lies behind it. To find out if his reality is a construct, to truly know himself, Mr. Anderson will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more.
Cast:
▶ Keanu Reeves as Thomas Anderson / Neo: The prophesised "One" from the previous version of the Matrix, Neo has been repaired by the machines and reinserted into a new version of the Matrix, with his memories suppressed in order to keep him under control. Despite sixty years having taken place since Neo's sacrifice, Neo has only aged twenty years thanks to the machines' modifications to his body. As Thomas, Neo unwittingly creates additional programming for the Matrix through his career as a video game developer.
▶ Carrie-Anne Moss as Tiffany / Trinity: Neo's romantic interest who was freed from the Matrix by Morpheus in the first film, and killed at the end of the Machine War. The machines recover, repair and modify her body and reinsert her into a new version of the Matrix. As with Neo, her memories of her previous life are suppressed by the machines and she becomes Tiffany, a suburban mother-of-three with a penchant for motorcycles. Despite sixty years having passed since her death, Trinity has only aged twenty years thanks to the machines' modifications to her body.
▶ Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Morpheus: An alternate version of the hacker who freed Neo from the Matrix.
▶ Jessica Henwick as Bugs: A gunslinger with a White Rabbit tattoo, and captain of the hovercraft Mnemosyne.
▶ Jonathan Groff as Smith: Thomas' business partner and Neo's former arch-nemesis and Agent of the Matrix.
▶ Neil Patrick Harris as The Analyst: The creator of the current iteration of the Matrix, who masquerades as Thomas' therapist, working closely with his patient to understand the meaning behind his dreams and to distinguish them from "reality" while keeping him within the Matrix.
▶ Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Sati: An exile program created without a purpose who met Neo shortly before the end of the Machine War.
▶ Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe: A General of the human bastion Io and former captain of the hovercraft Logos.
▶ Toby Onwumere as Sequoia: The operator of the Mnemosyne.
▶ Max Riemelt as Sheperd: Niobe's most-trusted captain at Io.
▶ Brian J. Smith as Berg: A crew member of the Mnemosyne who has studied Neo.
▶ Erendira Ibarra as Lexy: A crew member of the Mnemosyne who idolizes Trinity.
▶ Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian: A self-professed trafficker of information who encountered Neo prior to the end of the Machine War; he now seeks revenge on Neo for inadvertently stripping him of his purpose when the previous Matrix was destroyed.
▶ Christina Ricci as Gwyn de Vere: A business executive at Thomas' video game company.
▶ Telma Hopkins as Freya: The head of botany in Io.
▶ Chad Stahelski as Chad: Tiffany's husband.

Trying to get a message across, that we are all little "G" god in our own personal universes, and its time for us all to paint the sky with rainbows, or whatever the F you feel like looking at first thing in the morning. We get so caught up in our personal mythos, we forget, we wrote it. Take is serious like its some kind of truth. Nope, just a story. The story of you remains to be written... Oh, and the existential discomfort of this, is that it made a point of subliminally reminding you, that time's a wastin'... Tick Tock.

  • Neo and Trinity’s choice to remake the matrix as they see fit is exactly what the machines wanted. Essentially, the machines wanted a human or 2 to replace the Architecture, but willing do it. They need them to be Gods with feelings and emotions, as the machines can’t do it. When they chose to remake the matrix, the machines won.

Those humans who like that world and subconsciously want to stay can, those who don't can leave, but in this case Neo and Trinity can modify the Matrix world into a place where more people will want to stay, a world with more freedom for the inhabitants.

    @gamerleague2310@gamerleague2310 Жыл бұрын
    • Well yeah. At this point it’s so intrinsic to human life that to extinguish it completely would be to rob humanity of something it’s grown too accustomed to living with. That would destroy us in worse ways than the Matrix being invented ever did. So why not take control of it instead, make it a place where anyone can do anything, where machines and men can coexist peacefully?

Neo chose trinity that day adding love in to the so thought perfect equation by the analyst, to balance it out analyst had to make another. Making Trinity and Neo being part of the same anamoly thus we got two the ones and when the analyst resurrected them cause them to be the part of the Matrix code, causing not only to see the matrix bianry code but to alter them at will.

  • In Matrix Reloaded, Neo is handed a 'gift from one of the orphans', in which he unwraps a metal spoon from a cloth. This was meant to remind him that there is no spoon. When Neo meets the architect, he is told it was the 'sixth time we have destroyed it', but there is no knowledge or evidence of this with the population of Zion. Later in the movie, when escaping the sentinels, Neo can 'feel them' and is able to stop them like he stops bullets in their path. Towards the end of Matrix Revolutions, Neo is blinded, but can see the energy of the Matrix, much like he was able to see the code in the first movie. This is all hinting that Neo is STILL in the Matrix, or more like a Matrix within the Matrix. Another system of control. All the hints are there. Matrix 4 should have been made with this premise.

  • I know it's opening up for more sequels but I like the ending here. It's a very Back to the Future "the future is what you make of it" moment and it's a good conclusion to the stories of the two mains. A number of Wachowski films are just reflections on where they are at the time. The first trilogy was darker, it was about them navigating a confusing new world both in the turn of the century and their own personal identities. Now we live that world and it's all corporate and sanitized. I do understand the desire to go want to be sentimental and colorful as a way to break out of it.

    @kueller917@kueller917 Жыл бұрын
    • Today's world is even darker than the world we lived in 1998. Back then, there was hope. Now, there is none, and that is because corporations we didn't vote for or asked to represent us f*ck our daily lives until we are homeless and broke. Just look at every socialist country. It is a f*ing disaster. A tragedy! Crime is more rampant than ever!
