🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

    • @@birdlaw1019 I don't understand how that panders to audiences with low IQ. It's a self proclaimed best ever food show and shows cuisines both unique and exotic all around the world. Trying out, save for cannibalism, anything available that ties into the culture he's diving into is quite literally in his job description. Not to mention he did so very reluctantly. Rather, it seems like the low IQ individuals had a very strong negative opinion about it. No offense. :)

    • It's not my cuisine, but predators are not intended for food because they eat sick animals, and when you eat a predator whatever viruses they have will now jump to humans and animal viruses mutate faster in humans than in animals, because the animals immune system can deal with it and not like us humans. There is a health risk to themselves, and anyone they come into contact with if they become ill from eating certain animals. And yes people cats and dogs are predators and shouldn't be eaten especially if they go outside or wander about outside because they kill and eat other animals! This is how SARS came about, H1N1 and diseases like this. And this is FACTS, you can ask any scientist, doctor, or virologists! And you can't change FACTS!

  • This show is amazing. It does make you question what your version of “okay” is.Because I’m finding that most other places outside of the US have similar views on not being wasteful with their food and being very unique in how they prepare their food.I find the back stories and history and cultures to be the most interesting. The food is really just a small introduction to a much bigger picture and I love that. Some are very hard to understand but sonny always is respectful of the people’s hospitality and time. All the way down to helping prepare the food and actually trying it with an open mind.He gives his honest opinion without being rude when there is something a little more questionable. And he explains to them how different and new these experiences are to him and the rest of us.Kind of obsessed with this show now!Slightly makes me wanna go try something completely out of my comfort zone lol Just might like it🤷🏻‍♀️❤️❤️☮️

Your reasons are justifiable and what I love about your show is you are humble and respectful of others culture even if they differ from your own. Being sincere and grateful for the efforts that Mr Fernado presented you with the lion meat, you still ate it like a true champ and it shows on your face. In some cultures, refusal of another’s offering of foods and gifts shows a lack of humility. Thank you for spreading cultural awareness and diversity all over the globe one dish at a time.

They can smell the fear...he said "uh oh" and got himself together. I think the most exotic or wild animal I've ever eaten is shark or bear or alligator. I just want to go to Mexico and stay for a year and live with a Mexican Chef with a source of fresh foods and goods. The music, the culture and the spirit & the spirits (alcohol) and the food, I would definitely be down for it! No lion for me though. I'm not upset by them trying lion. While I love dogs and cats, and wouldnt go out of my way to eat one, I have harvested (killed and butchered) deer, lamb, rabbit and various foul. I've eaten squirrel and that's pretty much a rat that lives in a tree lol. I think it is totally hypocritical to eat beef or pork (cows and pigs) and then condemn another community or culture for eating another animal. thanks sunny for what you do! • When I was stationed on the east coast, we had wild boars right on the Navy base. One of my petty officers had one on his property harassing his dogs, so he shot it. The next day, he brought some barbecued ribs that he made from it. Delicious! I used to be a ranch hand, and one of the nearby farmers always had exotic meats that he had killed. He brought us bear, mountain lion, and javalina. The mountain lion was just as you described the lion, very chewy. The bear was much easier to eat. At my local university, the entomology department has an annual event in which various bugs are presented as food. I've eaten ants, bees, beetles, meal worms, earthworms, silkworms, scorpions, crickets, and grasshoppers. Also, in Korea, some buffet restaurants will have crickets and grasshoppers on the line. At different restaurants around town, I've had ostrich, quail, gator, frog legs, chicken feet, pig feet, rabbit, lamb, and shark. I've had jerky made of rattlesnake, kangaroo, elk, and caribou. I've eaten almost every part of a cow, pig, fish, duck, and chicken. I love what you're doing with this series, where you try to expand people's minds as to what food is available. Thank you.
