This was randomly recommended to me. I have no interest in hydrodipping nor did I know a dang thing about it. Have? Had? This video had me riveted as well as amused. Dang it I don't need another hobby but man do I want to hydrodip everything in sight now 🤣
LOL, that is how I started too. When I saw it I was like oooohhhhhh wow. I want to dip my car, this lamp, a frisbee, my neighbors dog, lets hydro dip everything!!!
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics not the neighbors dog 😂😂😂

As a 4 side tape dipper, this was one very informative video. I just saved a ton of tape and money.
Glad i could help
My husband and I are very new to hydro dipping, someone asked for their shoes to be done. This video has helped our understanding A LOT!
I've been interested in hydrodipping and came across your video, definitely subscribing , this is so detailed and informative.
I'm glad I found your channel before I started. I had tape on all four sides right before I saw your video. I've watched several of your other videos and you have been a huge help. That k you for taking the time to make these. Could you do a quick video/tutorial on dipping motorcycle wheels/rims, please?
See this , this comes once in a blue moon , TRULY inspiring , I’m now motivated to this myself ! Thank you !!’
Your tutorial is better than any of my teachers i had in schools. Great tips, thanks a bunch
Wow thank you for the compliment, I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Lol, Loved this guy! I’ve never hydro dipped, had no idea tape was even called for, but this guy has a great presentation skill!
I've been watching hydro dip/ hydrographics videos and I just recently found your channel. So far, the best channel I've seen. Your detailed explanations are very clear and you do a great job getting the info across. Im definitely looking at getting into hydrographics and appreciate the time and effort you put into yours videos and sharing your knowledge. Thank you, sir!!!
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you. Hope you find some more of our useful videos!
I know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Jax Cairo instablaster :)
@Oliver Davis I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Oliver Davis it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy! Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
I'm brand new to your videos - literally the first one I've ever watched - this was incredible! Super informative. And the bloopers were HILARIOUS! Thank you so much!!
Awesome! Thank you! Glad we could learn you something, and give you a few laughs.
Hello brand new
Thoroughly enjoyed your on-camera style and the knowledge shared! I've never hydro dipped in my life and was mainly searching for more on this subject after watching the Donut guys give it a try. What's funny is that they were told, and OHW apparently preaches, taping all four sides. The OHW tutorial did show them being able to get all of the wrinkles out; but am thinking starting with this no-tape method makes the most sense... plus it eliminates extra steps and materials. Win-win!
Knew you felt like a training video you're a good speaker this is cool and you can tell you been doing hydrographics for awhile very informative ty!
Bro, thank you for the tips. I’m about to start doing graphics. Spray paint since I’ve heard about it (six months ago). Needing as much guidance as there is to give. Using one of those 250 gallon totes with the cages around them. So the boat shout out was what I needed. Also thank you for doing the bloopers addition. I believe it makes you more professionally personable, virtually. I’m hoping there will be more videos to learn from.
Thanks for making this, very helpful!
Love the vid lots of info been wanting to start this as a business.
You rock !!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this . I'm kind'a interested on doing my DIY. and your Channel's the best.
Great job - very informative and easy to follow
I wish I saw this yesterday, I spent all day doing dumb stuff half my problems were 4 side taping.
Glad I could help Val, sorry to hear you had a rough day, now you will know going forward and get better at dipping a lot faster.
great video. Iv been researching and wanting to get into dipping. your video has been most informative
Awesome glad I could help!
Thanks on the tape thang! Now I can go clean everything up that I threw everywhere in a rage, then start again with a smile.
LMAO.... range throwing and punching walls is pretty normal in hydro dipping. It is like a right of passage to throw at least one project in the yard and stomp on it before you really get the hang od things lol
You are so helpful, thanks for the great videos
Awesome tutorial. Planning to do some DIY hydro dipping on some of my gear. Thanks for sharing the video!
Glad it was helpful! Good luck on your projects
Thanks for the info...definitely improving my dipping
Awesome, glad I could help!
I learned a lot, thanks bro!!
Thanks for sharing these techniques, I've had a right ball ache will the film rolling, this thread has proper helped me out, Cheers from a new sub 🍻
Very informative, videos like this reiterating why you're the best!
Thanks Samuel, glad you enjoyed it!
After watching your video I feel more comfortable and confident in my ability to do this at home. My one question is if the project doesn’t turn out as well as you planned is there a way of removing the dip from the piece and starting over? I’m considering doing fairings and unsure if I don’t like the selection can I re-dip with a new film?
Just came across your channel, I’m starting very soon to try some hydro dipping. Great video, very informative and easy to follow. Love the outtakes 😆 Subscribed and will be learning a lot from you
Thanks for the sub boom, glad to have you. Many more videos on the way

Been doing hydrographics for about four years as a business and we do training as well..I tell people all the time not to tape all four sides..glad you did the video..great explanation for people who don’t get it..also friends with Jason and Kerry..great people
Hey Roy! Glad you are also beating into peoples heads not to tape on all 4 sides! Jason and Kerry are good folks, glad to have them so close to me in Georgia. Hope you are doing well brother, keep pumping out those awesome bikes my man!
I saw your video about people that tend to tape the sides. I can see why it’s best not to do it for sure however there seems to be a lot of people that get away with it...
@@thundertiger76 I never tape four sides.. when I first started I did and learned quickly that it was a bad idea.. film needs to expand and tape will not let it expand.. I do occasionally tape two sides especially with custom film because it is so thin and rolls up like crazy..but that also caused wrinkles where it’s taped but I use a bigger piece of film to allow for that.. I do try not to use tape at all though if I can get away with it... I like your idea about cutting the edges and I’m gonna try that on custom film next time I do some and see if that helps... it’s kinda like that kryptek film... keep those videos coming... we can always learn more...
@@thundertiger76 Getting away with it is one thing, doing the right thing and becoming a better dipper is another.
Hi dear I want to learn and wanna start my business how it is possible, can you help me,

I subscribed cause u seem like a real genuine dude 👍💯off camera ☮❤
Thank you! Yes sir I am very genuine, same person on camera as off camera!
me too not trying to get anything out of your just sharing knowledge
I was always wondering why my ones came out better without taping the sides. I thought i was doing something wrong because every video i watched, people would tape down the sides, but i stopped doing that because it worked better without it. This video was very helpful, thankyou.
That's exactly why I made the video, because there is so much bad info on the interwebs I just want to help people do the right things and have it help them make dipping easier.
Wonderful stuff; much thanks for sharing!

once I spray the activator all the tiny wrinkles go away.. we gottttta use tape if we're dipping in a bin ect and don't have adjustable stops fricken great tip with the pvc pipe method
I know I'm 2years late please don't rip me lol but I have recently gotten into fpv and I have always loved the hydro dip process now I wanna start hydro dipping my frames and I'm SO GLAD I FOUND THIS VIDEO!!!! EVERYONE USES TAPE!!!!! it makes so much sense not to use it awesome tutorial man 🤌🏼

Glad I could help Leslie. Thanks for checking out the video.
Next level tips, you see so many people using tape. The bloopers are definitely an added bonus!!!! 🤣👍
So true! I see a lot of tape, and I used it for a long time. Once I learned how to dip without it, made life so much easier.

Damn dude. You made it look easy. I'll be dipping RC bodies so I have to watch a few more so I can put out some good work. Thank you for this Vid.👍🏿
Hi what kind of water you dip it in ? Great video thank u
So i live in southwest Florida and we have well water where im at and in our wells we have high deposits of different minerals high iron levels and such. Would i be recommended to use distilled or purified,or does it not matter? Great videos by the way 👍 very informative and right to the point.
6:15 that was pretty trippy. Learn something new everyday. Thank ya sir 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video , thank you!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video.
The 4 sides thing really depends on the film. I have some that love to spread and stretch over the whole water surface when not taped up properly. Maybe they are just bad films I don't know but when taped on all 4 sides they work great so can't really complain.
I live in Georgia & would love to see your shop.
Come on by!
Hilarious! yet educational.. Thanks bro..
Glad you enjoyed it and got a laugh. Appreciate you watching the video.

Another great video Chris! Thanks for all your help! Oh and how in the hell are you getting a seal with your respirator with that beard 😆
LOL Beards first, safety third! I think that how the saying goes lol. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Three years later and this shows up in my recommended. I'm actually surprised people though taping at all would work. Water does what it wants to what's put in it. Not very many things can counter that. Trick is to get it to work for you. But I did learn one thing. The side that sticks to your finger is the side that gets set down on the water.
Great info!
Thanks Adam
Fantastic informative video
Thanks Matt. Glad I could help.
Great video indeed. Have you an idea on the thickness of the PVA. Do you know suppliers offering films with variable thicknesses, say from 50 to 200 microns? Thanks.
I have no clue, I have never made films I only buy what the suppliers have in stock.
I have never done this. What clear spray would you recommend for small projects? I might also want to do the interior HVAC trim of my car, so I believe it should withstand high heat from the sun. Is Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X any good ?
Finally!!! You showed what I was doing wrong lol. But seriously bro thanks!!! Because of your videos I’ve been dipping better. Stay warm out there and be safe
That is good to hear Matt! Glad the video was helpful for you, thanks for watching
Sir did you replace your water after every dip? or what's your strategy to clean the extra film on the water on the first dip before going to 2nd dip? thank you
Hands down best video.
Thank you Jimmy!
Great video. I’ve been trying to get information about how to dip ice fishing rods. If your not familiar, they have small diameter and are typically between 20-40” long. There aren’t any dippers near by and I prefer not to ship my rods. My biggest questions are when dipping a rod does it have to spin to get coverage? And is there a way to make the dip seamless. I plan on using a carbon fiber style dip.
To dip a fishing rod you will go straight in and it will leave a seam no matter what. Just make sure the seam is on the side that you will not be looking at when fishing and it will be fine. Some patterns that are more random leave the seam less noticeable but with carbon you will defiantly see a seam.
Well done bro. I use 1inch pieces of tape about 6 inches apart but your way looks good also and probably a bit faster
Much faster and I don't have to goof around with tape all the time. One less step in the process and is much easier once you get the hang of it.
Thank you 🙏
Appreciate you watching!
Guilty as charged ha ha Tips taken on board and now using 👌😀
LOL.... Just lick it and stick it, errrr wait, I meant with the film, ya know 😂👌
This is a very good training video
Thank you very much!
Thank you really thank you huge help 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is absolutely stunning and finally I found something genuine regarding hydrographics. Can you please make a video of converting a digital picture to a hydrographic film, simply how can we transform a photo into a printed film?
I do not make custom film or print film. Liquid Concepts is the only place I know that does that right now.
Awesome tips!
Thanks you, Glad you like them!
I need to do full face helmets and have never hydro dipped, do you have a recommendation of something to practice on? Im assuming rounded things are more difficult. As well Im having a hard time finding film that is wider than .5m. My helmet is 22 inches or 56 cm around the narrowest part. Im also in Canada and OHW only ships to the US
😮 great Video
