  • If you do spray paint before alcohol you get more round cells. If you alcohol then spray paint you get a spider web effect.

  • I've custom painted motorcycles and many other things for over 30 years and I've used similar techniques to get all kinds of different effects with paint. I've done several that look like acid was splashed on the parts and ate through multiple layers of paint. It's awesome to work with stuff like this.

  • Being the daughter of a hardware store owner, I would like to make a suggestion. Always stand up while spraying. If you are sitting, you breath in more of the fumes. Which you won't do if you are standing up. Also, if you are standing up, you can spray with your arm fully extended and, again, not breath in as much of the fumes, which you cannot do while you are sitting. Also, if you are standing, you can step away any time you want to get a breath of fresh air. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

    @SharonCreamer671956@SharonCreamer6719563 ай бұрын
    • Well I am not related to anyone who works in a hardware store but I have worked with many mediums over the years as an artist and as far as acrylic sprays go the only advice I can think of is..RESPIRATOR!! Standing,sitting especially inside makes absolutely no difference,it’s all toxic to your liver and lungs, so saying stand up so it’s not as bad is irresponsible.

That is a stunning table and whoever buys it can be proud to own such an original artwork. I have subscribed as I need to laugh more, and as a mixed media 'artist' myself, it is a joy to learn. Thank You.

Epoxy finish. 5. Doing the legs as well significantly ups value of project *unless retaining character of legs) 6. Use Killz as base. Been at this since 90s. Perhaps I put some vids out lol. • I love experiments!! Here's one for you to try (if you haven't already) Mix you up some resin, any color but lots of super sparkly glitter looks fantastic in this technique. You can even use more than one color of resin cuz you're gonna let that dry completely. Then the next day take your cured resin piece outside and place it on a tarp or piece of plastic, or just put it on the ground if you want. Spray your pieces with Dawn powerwash (not too much) or just take some regular dish soap and drizzle it onto the resin pieces. THEN, grab your spray paint in a complimentary or contrasting color and spray it onto the resin pieces with the dish soap. You want to do this part fairly quickly. As soon as you spray it with spray paint, immediately pour a bucket of water over it or use the hose and rinse it off. Wherever the dish soap is, the paint won't stick and it creates some fantastic patterns. If you use the power wash you'll get a more speckled look and if you just drizzle regular dish soap you'll get some nice random irregular line patterns. Then your resin colors (and glitter) will show through the open spaces.

  • I'm just getting into painting warhammer miniatures. The techniques that I've seen you demonstrate are really cool, and I'm hoping to use them on a much smaller scale on my minis. Thank bud!

  • Use grey primer and paint black. When the paint cracks it will look metallic

  • You can create a marble effect by using spray adhesive and spraying a piece of glass and then spraying colors like black and green or whatever colors that you want, kind of at an angle, like a hit and miss kind of pattern. Then flip the glass over. If it's on wood or something, you would need to seal it all in with epoxy or something.

    • hmmm, I am trying to picture what you are describing. Sounds very interesting but the spray adhesive is throwing me off. Can you message me on Instagram?

    • @@DuncanCustomAirbrush Use something like 3M spray adhesive and spray it in "strings" across the substrate. They will look like veins like you see in marble.

  • Please make a river table. One on my friends embedded fiber optics in the resin to look like stars in the night sky. Rob from Law and Lumber on youtube made it.
