Honestly I think that structure would be just fine if the pole that comes out and holds the structure in real life was extended a fair amount into the mountain. I think it would be no problem. But there’s a lot more than just that going into probably. Likely would need to make the hole concrete or something and a bunch of other stuff so maybe it wouldn’t be possible.

Hear me out.... Your base needs a death chamber underneath it, where you can enter with items, get killed instantly and spawn in the base, but all the items you 'lost' are then picked up via hopper minecarts, fed into the system you built today, and all follow you up there into the chests.
Pufferfish chamber with hoppers. But have a dispenser spit it out onto a slime block on a piston to bounce it up to him in the base.
Then it's perfect!

Now you just need a redstone contraption to get you into the moth ball. Maybe you press a button, the blocks are pulled out from under you, you fall onto dripstone. Items you drop can be collected and sent to the moth ball. As a side benefit, when Grian is unable to resist pushing the button, you can also receive whatever happens to be in his inventory at the time.

This season already feels so much more human and friendly than the past few. It feels like friends having fun again

Season 10 feels completely different than previous seasons, the server feels so alive this season. It feels good to see everyone hanging out, and some of the jokes and pranks this season are really funny. In previous seasons it felt like the runaway scale kind of turned the hermits into... well, hermits, who mostly just worked on mega bases on their own. It feels nice to see the "friends hanging out" aspect take center stage again.
I felt like this about season 8 with the big settlement. Which is why I was really bummed that they cut that Season short

Season 8 was the season that did this the best in my eyes. I think season 10 will be like most other seasons: everyone starts close and then gradually expands outwards, away from each other
@@bobthebox2993I'm not quite sure about that as a lot of hermits have expressed that they want more time focusing on being around each other and less on massive projects but we'll have to wait and see! I do think it's more likely to happen that we get more connectivity as the audience now prefers it so theyd be more incentivised to give us that content since its better for the algorithm but, again, I can't predict the future.
Completely agree! Its a blessing and a curse for me because while this is the most addicting season ever, I'm also working on quitting social media and cutting back on KZhead and the past week has been the most difficult one since I started. 😂

As a mechanical engineer, considering a margin of safety of 0.2 structural chickens, the 2 leads is more than enough to hold the base. Although, considering the environmental hazard named "grian" I would consider installing a structural pig.

That ending... pure gold. However, the Mothball isn't significantly any more stable, because those ropes aren't under any tension. To use the proper term, they're "slack". In order to make it more realistically stable, you would have to either support the main bubble from underneath, or connect the main bubble to a support structure further up the mountain, otherwise it would be too heavy, and likely break off of the stick.
So what you're saying is, he needs more chickens.

There's one aspect you missed about all this. He said he had a reason for the slime at the end of the prior episode. At the beginning of THIS episode, he reveals that it's for the leads for the structural chickens. An idea borne of the comments from the first video. You need two more chickens to attach to the farther fences for it to be up to code. While your current setup does the job temporarily, in the event of an unprecedented natural disaster, such as a light gust or a sniffer's sneeze, your structure would collapse entirely. Hope this helps!
I doubt the length of the lead would suffice. A possibility: Make two cages out of trapdoor above the current fences, put structural chicken inside said cages and link these to the farther fences. Then you can put two more structural chickens inside the walls and link them to a fence post above the cage. If he's felling fancy, I'd advise structural pig for these ones as they need to be stronger due to leverage.

Using reference data on the average weight of deepslate and understanding the brain structure of a chicken leads me to believe that this base is only possible due to the absence of a door. Mumbo states himself that he hadn't considered entry ways to his base, however this is where the understanding of a chickens brain comes into fruition. Its quite possible for Mumbo to have been manipulated by a chicken in order to not include a door, hence why is immediate thought as structural support was a chicken and not an animal like a sheep. Mumbo was adamant about finding Chickens even scaling a mountain for one, hence its clear that this base was structural not by chance or logic, but by the power of a chicken.

What a guy, covering the beautiful parts of iskalls base, rather than adding something new
There was this wonderful dramatic pause at 14:31, after Scar asked how the lava and ice could be layered. Except it wasn't an intentional pause in the video, it was a computer crash, so... not so wonderful. But the first second-before I realized Scar's arms weren't waving, and that the silence was too complete-that moment of silence was great for building tension and making me wonder what would be said next.
