TUFF Marine are awesome, I met up with Mark in Ontario to test scream his TUFF21 when that was all he had. With Rude 225HO, that boat was wicked fast and maneuverable. You could literally turn 180 degrees at 70 and hit your own wake shortly after. His larger line is amazing, would Love to go do a test run and write an article for him again!
Make no mistake, the Outterlimits is an awesome piece of machinery but they are overpriced and over hyped.
Dan Kliets at outerlimits is a really great guy (knows his boats like you wouldn’t believe) and it’s a great boat. Always feel like it kinda has some Sutphen DNA because of Dan being there. And hellkat boats has a spectacular ambassador in turbo Eddie. Great to see both those boats on this list Also great to see 300x and 300XS ENGINES GETTNG some props still (pun intended) In a world full Of 4 strokes.
MTI is my favorite boat brand. Fast, and hold value for years too.
They have Skaters made in the 90s still selling for over a 100k and worth every penny when kept up correctly. Some people buy these boats and never once bounce them around in rough water, they keep them inside and keep them as clean as a operating room!! Seen a couple for sale but never have a been on one. A buddy of mine has a 2001 Warlock with twin supercharged I/O that looks brand new. No body gets on his boat with shoes - period!!! And every time he goes out in it he cleans it after - no exceptions. Its solid red with some black on the interior. Wish I was a better friend maybe he would take me out more lol.

Gary Richards tuff does a good job of going fast with low power. A tuff doesn’t need 700 horsepower to go triple digits

Skater. Ride. Price. Resell. But I’ll admit I’m not a hardcore boater. And am 65. But my uncle raced drag boats. I grew up on motorcycles and muscle cars. There would be a mild learning curve for me. Mainly on proper boating etiquette and laws of the sea. Most of my boating has been on lakes.

Push right up against the 30ft. Look up boats like Bullet, labsport, force, cyclone, Connelly and mellinium here in Au. True 100mph 20 boats.
What you start to hit 250 mph, the aerodynamic force on the hull will literally pick the boat up and flip it around in an instant. The only way you can safely maintain anything over 220 mph is to have a very large tail structure extending 10 feet or more behind the rear of the boat itself. Yes, a boat needs to have the tail of an airplane when you are going at airplane speeds. You also need a computer-controlled pitch stabilizer system on that tail.

Skater is my fav. I like your view on these, though. Lose some top-end over usability. Someone is always going to have a faster boat, having a boat that can hit over 90mph is going to stand out for sure, regardless.
And it’s easy to change props for the occasional Poker Runs A well powered and maintained Skater will be difficult to catch The twin outboards even the playing field some what Went you see the 368’s and above in the race, Pretty much game over

If your spending 150-200 on west cost ur going with dcb, hallett, conquest deck, fountain, Howard and laveycraft they will do over 100mph on freshwater and even faster on saltwater.

Outerlimits SV29 with a 600 SCI is about 100mph. Put a 700 SCI in there and you're at 120mph no problem.

I will always take a V-haul over a Cat. Much safer and for the Cat design being better Fountain showed that not to always be true. I understand Fountain doesn't manufacture a 30' boat but the manufacturer that do make a V-haul in that size are using the Fountain design.

You forgot about Howard 28 bullet 700hp 122 mph one of the best ever. Also all of these are fast but are worth a shit for anything but hauling ass. No water sports no creature comforts. Kinda useless except one thing. I would rather go 122 and be able to be a little more family friendly.
