Showing off is said to be a fool's sense of glory. That is certainly true in the sport of boxing. A split-second mental slip can have terrible consequences. It's always interesting to witness showboating fail badly in combat sports, whether it's due to a little dancing during the fight, trash talk in the ring, or during the weigh-in. Without further ado, here are the times when arrogant Fighters were destroyed by their opponents.

    • @@dylanburston7453 it doesn't really matter when he said it. He said it and had a white fighter said that about a black, brown, red, yellow, or a blue, green or whatever fighter he would have been tagged a racist and ran out of boxing. Especially now a days in this crazy woke cancel culture world. First off we are all brown just different shades of brown. Frosty the snowman is white, the tires on a vehicle are black, bananas are yellow and apples are red. Like I said before I was a fan of Hopkins before he said that racist comment. He was a great fighter, one of the all time greats. He would have been a champion in any era but I hate racism and racist even more. Racism is a tool of satan's and racist are his children. I hope one day Bernard gets over that sickness and repents. Maybe he just let his mouth run before thinking and he's not a racist, hopefully he just got caught up in the moment. Either way peace be with you Dylan, be safe.

In order to have true equality/racial equality, things actually need to be equal. When a black guy named Darrel Brooks commits a hate crime/multiple murders. It's not called a hate crime by Main Scheme Media & quickly swept under the rug. If a white kid in Buffalo NY commits a hate crime/multiple murders. He'll get the death penalty & his crime will be all over the news for the next year. Meanwhile Darrel Brooks will reluctantly get life in prison.

How many main events has he had? Where is he now? Is he broke and homeless now? Is he even still alive? This made him relevant for a weekend then back to obscurity and nobody'ness. Highlight of his career, then it was over. The main Joe Smith I remember played basketball in the NBA. I don't remember this white boy AT ALL.

    • Joe Smith Jr. holds the WBO belt at light heavyweight. Don’t even need Google for that one since he defended it early this year. You must not know shit about Bernard Hopkins too, cuz this wasn’t the the first white “boy” he lost to. Joe Calzaghe beat him and retired with an undefeated record.

  • Recently i've watched some of bare knuckles figts and what moved me the most was the respect for the opponent. Every fight when someone fell on the ground other fighter stopped attacking and after the match they hugged or gave themselves fistbumps (most of the times covered in blood). In boxing fights respect is heavily missing, lot of disrespect in both pre-match conferences and during fights. Why is that so?
