    • JOE GRIZZLEY Right! Female fighters that can really punch are out of Rousey's league! She's a baby! She's like this little bully girl on the playground in 4th grade, picking fights with girls that punch like girls. Well, run her up against some female fighters that can hit like men, and she is totally shocked!

Saying she'd actually beat up a bigger man who happens to be one of the greatest boxer's of all time in Floyd Mayweather was crazy no matter how much I don't actually like Floyd himself. Imagine what he'd do to Ronda's chin if she can't handle Holy's and Amanda's strike's.

    • No UFC or MMA fan ever has said such a thing. RONDA fans say that. What are RONDA fans. They are usually young women who see Ronda and latch on to her because her being dominant in a violent sport made them feel empowered. That's part of the problem with why she was treated with such kid gloves for all of this, was outspoken women who believed in her... Well RONDA fans, do you still believe in her? She had no footwork, no movement what so ever, she stuck her out and got straight rights hooks and jabs for 48 seconds and made 3 million dollars for it. Does she need to be "consoled" and protected from "fat shaming"? Ronda Rousey is not your female hero. It's Amanda Nunes... she's the first open lesbian Champion in the sport and she made Ronda look like an amateur. Fighters don't need your pity; they hunger to get back in the gym and hopefully get another good matchup to make more money and entertain more fans. What did Dominick Cruz do when he got punched in the face hard enough to drop him to the ground by Cody Garbrandt? He IMMEDIATELY got back up and reengaged in the fight and then was gracious in defeat in front of the crowd cameras and the media who are poking and prodding. He's a fighter. Ronda isn't a fighter, she's a competitor. Judo is a horribly limited grappling martial art, and is even more limited at the Olympic level, and no one is punching you in the face the entire time. So what, Ronda couldn't grab an open clinch and use a judo throw to get Nunes down, simple answer - single legs and double legs all day all night, oh wait oh shit, she doesn't know how to shoot for a take down at all because she's been punching pads to look tough for the camera for over a year. This is MMA, and she had a weak, ill informed gameplan, with a con artist for a head coach in Edmund, and she got duped into his scheme - the idea that she could stand toe to toe with striking specialists and out-muscle them. She needs to go to another gym and start from SCRATCH. She's got basically a very wide open empty arsenal as an MMA fighter...has she ever done anything other then punch and knee pads in terms of strikes? Why don't we see her in Karate classes and Taekwondo class and Muay Thai classes, so many different stances, with more defense, or fighting more long. With her build she could throw some NASTY kicks at any level, and yet she was never trained to do so. She needs to figure out her retirement soon, or try and come back soon against a lower ranked fighter and absolutely just armbar the shit out of them or she will be retired in the minds of the people within the next few months... I mean good god, as a "Mixed Martial Artist", she's just really really bad to bet on at all. She's great at one very limited aspect of mma - Judo. Trips, Tosses, Throws. Despite having a big, powerful god given gift in the thick bone structure of her hands, she has virtually almost no technique or follow through for anything. No sparring,. no simulating the fight, just hitting those same two pads with fast uppercuts. Now that she's been neutralized twice I hope women's MMA in this division can actually evolve a bit beyond the fantasy of "what do I need to learn to beat Ronda Rousey should we ever fight like it had been so dreamily imagined. In order to stop the clinch and the judo tosses, " Apparently, it's fairly simple - you punch her in her goddamn head."

  • It was not a fight. Ronda had no instinct to defend herself, straight arm jab Nunes AWAY and mover her head at the same time. Ronda had no instinct to move her head or even run away to regroup like Conor did in his rematch with Diaz. Also, Ronda's chin was never never tested in the gym with solid sparring partners. They coddled her mae sure her face was never cut or beat up which did not prepare her for a REAL PUNCH.

    @bearablepain592@bearablepain5927 жыл бұрын
  • Ronda is not a boxer, she's a grappler. And CLEARLY she can not hang with a strong boxer. She doesn't even have the very basic boxing skills. No footwork, no head movement. There was no game plan, and you can thank her coaches for that. I'd love to see her fight again but with a really good striking coach. And I hate to say it because by all accounts the dude is a douchbag, but Bang Ludwig might be who she needs.

    • And not even a true grappler, because her judo background doesn't work that well without a judogi or kimono to grab the opponent, and with the gloves is even harder to catch the rival; Roussey never attack the legs like a wrestler does, so, if you add a rainfall of fists to her face it was a matter of time for the other fighters to read Ronda.

  • There was a period where Ronda was head and shoulders above the rest of the division. As women's mma grew, more and more top level female athletes pursued a career in it. Now there are multiple fighters who are of a much higher standard than the opponents Ronda originally faced and Ronda hasn't adapted to this. If you look at all the fighters Ronda beat, where are they now? She is a victim of her own success.

And then when Conor asks for something similar oh no can never do that and then he throws him off the card. thats called being a massive hypocrite. Now UFC need Conor more than ever. Also why arent you commenting on how much of a bad sport ronda is for not talking after getting beat both times??? Look at Conor after he lost. He spoke even though he was devastated. You seem to be riding her way too much. Ronda is a bad sport

Secondly, she really needs to get trained at a higher level gym, her total game plan needs to change. He own mother has told her to fire her boxing coach but she hasn't listened. Oh well, I think she's done but if she decides to come back a lot needs to change...But people need to give her credit, she placed female MMA on the pedestal for others to follow~

  • I just watched the fight and came across this video. Ronda was not in the right head space. She had terrible strategy. But the mental part of it fucked her over. Even though the fight was only 40 seconds, you could just tell she was only there physically.

  • That outcome was no surprise whatsoever. It wasn't down to 'bad strategy', 'bad coaching', 'head not in it' or anything else. Nunes was simply better period. A top-notch fighter with multiple skills vs a one-trick pony.

  • Heather Gracie once stated in a documentary that Ronda was like a computer chip she could download a move by just seeing it with grappling probably should have took some time with a pro wrestler like wrestling at a college level or olympic-level wrestling to change levels to get a double-leg takedown or grabbed or somehow pulled guard

  • Joe is so wrong sbout it being ok for Ronda not to do media before the fight. BOTH headliners are obligated to promote the fight. It is clear favoritism by the UFC for Ronda Rousey and that is absolutely sketchy.

  • Amanda was one epic fighter . Ronda was not a well rounded fighter . She was had fed most fight as too was McJoke . At least Ronda defended her title as a true champ should . that's what creates a true champion . Unlike Mcjoke who just hold on to belts for dear life . Never ever defending . just holding up divisions . the brake was a blessing for 170/185 divisions . And the mayweather fight ?????? What a joke that was .

  • I respect Ronda's devotion to her coach. She doesn't need to fire the guy, she just needs to train with other coaches too. If you have been doing the same shit and people figure you out, you have to change the puzzle. Give them something else to look at.
