The murder of Jamal Khashoggi | DW Documentary

Did the Saudi state plan the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi? Was Khashoggi so much of a threat to the Saudi regime that it was prepared to commit a terrible crime to get rid of him?
This documentary reconstructs Jamal Khashoggi’s personal plans and movements in his final days. It also examines records, leaks and reports related to his assassination, as well as motivations that may have led Saudi Arabia to commit such a shocking crime.
The film’s key feature is exclusive testimony from Khashoggi’s close circle, including from his fiancée Hatice Cengiz. She tells of her emotional struggle in dealing with his death; hoping against hope he was still alive despite accounts of how he was killed; the struggle to discover his fate; and the pain of not knowing where his body is.
The documentary also uncovers how the Saudi government handed the incident, including the attempts it made to cover up the story. In London, Washington, Istanbul and Montreal, the film visits and speaks with Khashoggi’s friends, security experts, analysts and activists. The events surrounding Khashoggi's killing and the assassination itself are reconstructed in reenactments and with aerial photographs, graphics and animations, including archive footage. In the words of one official close to the case, UN Special Rapporteur Agnès Callamard: "There is credible evidence that requires further investigation into the involvement of senior Saudi officials in the crime, including the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman himself."

    • Funny thing is, these people use their religion to control their masses. They have no spirituality and no humanity and are clueless about the fact, when we die, only the body is disposed of. The energy that makes sentient beings, is there, in the next dimension, getting stronger and wiser. JK will make a bigger impact, from his energy field than he would have, in the human form. These killers are unaware of that, evidently. When they murder someone, they create more hurdles towards their "dream". Jamal will be on their asses, for a very long time as it does not exist, in the astral. They sent him to a better place. He is a martyr now, and has more supporters than before. Sorry to his fiancee. Both Donald Trump and Jared Kushner needed a BIG influx of money, Donald for all his bankruptcies and millions in personal debts and Jared to get him out from under the great financial loss he was taking on his 666 building in NYC. I’m not saying they had anything to do with the murder, but I think the American “ response” or lack there of, had much to do with their need for the Saudi’s money.

They should all write letters to their politicians to ask them to correct weak responses or bad ones. Canadians did, my government had the proper answers for the Saudis even if that meant losing money. Who cares, money is not important, being human is. Closing an eye in the pick of the facts and post a later answer in a government media channel doesn't excuse a government like Germany to act like that, even if that means jobs. If the German public is like that it means they are all complice to murder, they should act and they should demand their governments even if some time has past, to correct the situation.

Germany is doing something: investing in renewables - and that will allow them to take more direct actions against Saudi Arabia. A do praise Canada's position but I think - please correct me if I'm wrong - that Canada is not that dependent on oil prices. If I'm not mistaken, Canada has a huge hydroelectric power base. • Don't forget the history channels that these guys and girls are doing WORLD CLASS documentaries. The kind we used to see on the History Channel. History with Cy, History Time with Pete Kelly, DW, Unbelievable. The two docs on the Mayan I just watched were incredible. And of course anything Professor Michael Wood presents. OMG we mard lucky and I am constantly perusing YT for these fabulous docs. Thanks everyone!!!!
