I'd like to add that you can disable Low Light Compensation in OBS and XSplit by selecting the Configure Video option. In the Properties box that appears, click to the Camera Control tab and UN-CHECK the Low Light Compensation option and click apply. Low Light NEVER will allow your webcam to run at 30 or even 60FPS, it is an awful default setting that does nothing but ruin out of the box cameras.

Hola, sí, he encontrado que el enfoque automático en todas las cámaras web de Kiyo es un poco errático. No es un gran problema para mí porque normalmente desactivo el enfoque automático en OBS de todos modos. Espero que esto ayude.

I was using only Logitech webcams my whole life. And I already got used to their washed out image quality. Now I see how stupid I was. But what makes them so bad? Specs don't show anything different. So what should I be looking out for when comparing the cameras to avoid this Logitech's washed out/blurred image?
Hello buddy, I hope you're well and I like your avatar picture, it takes me back to my younger years :) That was exactly and still is the same problem I experience with webcams. You can have two which look identical in specs and then when you try them they look completely different which was the main driving force behind doing so many webcam reviews on the channel so it gives viewers the chance to see how something looks before buying. There's so many webcams which claim to be 4K and when you actually buy it and use it then it's nowhere near 4K quality. With any webcam, always manually configure the settings (unless you're happy with how it looks straight out of the box). Most of the big name companies like Logitech, Razer, Anker etc have their own software which can be installed and you can configure things like exposure, brightness, white balance etc. A lot of other brands, especially the cheaper stuff don't come with any software so I always recommend having OBS installed as you can manually configure webcam settings in there. Most webcams allow you to move sliders around to change things but you do get a few where some of the options can't be changed. The exposure setting is the first one I would always configure first, you can usually knock the slider down by one, maybe two and this really helps with the image. It can sometimes help with the fluidity of movement too. White balance would be the next one to play around with. You find usually on the cheaper webcams that the image either looks too blue or too green, so you can move the slider for the white balance to help get the colours to look more natural. You do have some cheaper webcams which don't allow you to change this or it's such a harsh change when you try to manually configure it that you're usually better off just using the automatic settings. Saturation is what I would do next just to bring some colour to the image. We reviewed an Aukey webcam which virtually looks grey when you use the automatic settings so the saturation was needed on this one and it produced a much better image. You may find a setting called "gain". This brings artificial light to the image, but the higher you set this then the more pixeling and artifacting you usually get on the image, so ideally you would want to set this as low as possible, but if you're in a dark environment then you may need to increase it a little. The other settings I would usually leave but you may need to move the slider slightly for contrast on some webcams. The best Logitech webcam i've personally used so far is the Logitech Streamcam. I think the more expensive Brio is supposed to be decent but I would probably steer clear from the cheaper Brios like the 100 and 300 which we've reviewed, especially if you've already got the C920 or C922 as you wouldn't see any improvement. Quite a lot of blurring is usually to do with a lot of webcams having a fixed focus lens which means you have to be a certain distance away from it for things to look in focus, which if you're using a laptop with the webcam mounted on top of it then you can be too close to the webcam which makes the image look quite blurry. There's a number of auto-focus webcams out there which can resolve this issue like the Razer Kiyo Pro which does a great job at putting you in focus, but the auto-focus is very sensitive on it so any kind of movement and it tries to redo the focus again. I recommend getting yourself into the position you would usually be whilst using the webcam and disabling the auto focus in OBS and then moving the slider to set the focus where you want it. Just realised how long this message is :) Hopefully it helps a little and do feel free to ask any other questions and i'll do my best to help

Hello there Makarmache. Out of these two, I prefer the Razer Kiyo X but you may want to disable the autofocus as it tries to focus hunt all the time. What kind of budget do you have for a webcam and will you be using it for streaming or mainly video calls?

@@vijayanandkrishnanv Thank you :) The Razer Kiyo Pro will be the best out of those 3 but it is more expensive. I would recommend using manual focus on any of the Kiyo webcams because the auto focus does a lot of focus hunting. I hope this helps :)
Hey man, hello again!! Again, you made a very successful and entertaining video. :) As a Logitech fan I would like to prefer it, but Razer is a very competitive competitor in the Kio. I was very undecided. A 2nd hand Logitech c922 Pro or a new Razer Kio for the money of a new Razer Kio!!?? That's how the market here is. :') Logitech is a popular and popular brand.
Hello there :) I think the Razer Kiyo delivers a better image than the Logitech. We have reviewed the Razer Kiyo Pro recently and the image quality is very good on it. I find that the auto focus keeps trying to calibrate itself, but I've found this to be the case on both the Logitech C922 too. So you would want to disable that and use manual focus. There should be a lot of sales on the way, so keep an eye out as I imagine both the Logitech and Razer webcams will drop in price. We're just reviewing the Insta360 Link webcam which is a very expensive webcam, but it performs amazingly well, we should have the review uploaded hopefully in the next few days.
