Fitting new Catalysts, and polishing the rest of the stock exhaust. Then comparing the sound, weight and performance to the previous 2 setups that i have tested. Stock with scorpion muffler, headers and 200cell racecats with scorpion muffler, and then completely stock with new oe catalysts as installed in video.
OE exhaust is better than youd think
Parts used
1x 18407518673 catalyst

Great videos. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for the kind words.
Lots of work with the exhaust, but amazing look all shining. You are a true legend! Keep coming this content, amazing job!
Sorry to hear about the old exhaust being illegal. I'm glad you went through the effort of cleaning up the stock exhaust, and it doesn't sound bad at all.
Thank you for the support:) Im happy it made for some content worth watching now that i was forced to go back to stock. And it did answer a question i could never find the answer to elsewhere. Cats do slowly clog up hindering performance without being downright defective and throwing dtc’s.. hope you have a great day
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow you did a great job making the exhaust look new👍🏼 thats crazy how strict they are over there. Over here where I’m at in the states they don’t do any emissions so I can run catless headers fortunately
Thanks. The corrosion on the midsectiom was too deep to make it really pop unless i wanted to spend ungodly amounts of time on it. But it came out pretty good still. Yeah sadly very strict (and expensive) when it comes to cars in generel
Endnu en fed video Tim! Forhåbentlig tid til en masse flere køretimer her nu når sommeren er på vej!
Kører i den næsten dagligt❤️
Og mange tak😎
Hi, i just discovered your channel and subscribe to it , great job on the exhaust .
Thank you. Im happy you will join us:) and thanks for the exhaust compliment. Its super quiet now but i kindda like it that way
Wow really good job You made you e46 look like new
Thanks you. It does help a little with the exhaust as well yes
@@OEMplusRESTO of course and everything else under and in car
@@riccardodefina9551 theres still some way to go. I will remove the seats and do a re-dye a little later and some other fixes inside as well. But right now im in the middle of trying to make a 40year old interior looking like new(ish) again. Your comment gave me a little extra motivation too.
@@OEMplusRESTO ah you know, with old vehicle there is no end with working on them, but once you want to do something; this has need to be done. 💪👍
@riccardodefina9551 couldnt have said it better myself👌
I m working 2 years ago, Still shine
Good go know. Thank you
Den danske m539 restorations. Genialt indhold 😀
Tak Murat. Det varmer. Han laver fandme kvali indhold
That looks so good! How does it look now, 9 months later?
You’ll be able to see in the video im working on now:-) but id say decent
Did you attach the flap at the backbox to your intake manifold? What a pitty that you had to let go of your headers. The things i would do to have such headers on my z4 3.0😊 Unfortunately they are as illegal in Germany as the are in Denmark.😢
No! As it turns out its missinh the valve and actuator. Basically just everything. So i capped the hole in the manifold and the muffler is then permanently dual exit so to say. Yes our laws suck my friendly neighbour. Thanks for making awesome cars though
Hi again friend 😂. One question. May I ask where you got the new CATs from and what you paid?
I got them from KOED.. I paid 860euro pr manifold, so around 1700 euro plus gaskets and copper nuts. But i had to send the old ones return otherwise they would have been even more stupid expensive. I wish headers and racecats were legal here in denmark(and germany)
@@OEMplusRESTO yeah not gonna lie, car modding wise our countries suck... 😂
@@4414ification yeah. But at least you guys make cool cars!
@@OEMplusRESTO that's true! We sold a car to Denmark a couple years back. I remember the buyer telling us that there is an insane luxury tax on cars in Denmark too.
why not cut the muffler open and modify the inside of the muffler still will look stock but will flow and sound better, same for the middle muffler
Good question. The main thing is part of going back to stock is to make it legal. More than 2db louder than stock isnt legal. With that being said, everyone is still driving around with modified exhausts, because the cops sont bother unless its obnoxious loud. So yeah. Maybe one day i’ll as you said:)
Where I live, nobody cares and checks the exhaust. No emission check no nothing. Also weather is good and nothing rusts. My e36 328i stock exhaust produced 4psi back pressure. Diy 3" exhaust has less than 1 psi back pressure and weighs about 10kg less than stock. Unfortunately I haven't have time to test performance gains.
Im jealous lol. Sounds like a super cool project too
Oh youre “that” guy. Very cool. I watched your backpressure video not long ago. Great video and cool projects you got going on. Thanks for the input here:)
@@OEMplusRESTO Cheers.
oh wow i didnt know putting a different exhaust on your car was illegal in denmark i thought the rules were only this strict in germany :D
I think we have equallt strict rulea when it comes to exhausts etc, but i think maybe your tuv inspection is a bit more thorough?
