The possible reason behind the animation at 3:03 was probably because Chris already had some German wermacht troop models available.

    • @ Green Machine, I bet you have never visited Eastern Europe. I live here and I have traveled a lot in these countries. I have spoken to many people who have survived the war, they spoke highly of the regular German soldiers even if they were the invaders, and people hate the Russian "liberators". The Germans wanted to annex countries and build an empire, they didn't want to antagonize the local population. Rape , plunder and murder was punished. The Russians on the other hand plundered and raped, and blamed it on the Germans after the war. Every army commits war crimes, even the Allies were no saints in ww2 or before that ( let's not forget all the countries the British and the French have conquered and oppressed, and the Native American genocide ). The SS went berserk in Russia and in France, but even the Wehrmacht hated them.

  • Important to note is that Gangl was already collaborating with the Austrian resistance at the time he was asked to help with the castle, but only about 20 members of his own force could be used to help with the rescue. He went to try and persuade the American force himself. He was killed by an SS sniper and buried in a nearby town.

We even helped to supply the allies while sacrificing profits in order to do so (I'm talking lend lease, not D for B). By the time we entered the war, France had fallen and Britain needed help lest it get invaded (although Germany never did get a positive influence in the channel). We may not be the best country, but we still did some good things.
