1) Magsafe needs to be a standard feature on android or all cases going forward. 2) They need to make an s-pen attachment for the samsung standing case. I can't find the fold4 pen with attachment for sale online.

Thanks for the very comprehensive coverage of covers! I had a Spigen Spen cover for my Fold 4 that was very much like the TORRAS. I think it was called the Slim Armor Pro Pen Edition. Do you know if Spigen has or will do a similar for the Fold 5? Currently I have the Spigen Slim Armor Pro on my Fold 5 and it is great, but I am missing the integrated Spen holder.

When it comes to any of those S pens you mentioned. Only the larger S pen Pro has the ability for Air Actions. Which is required to use as a selfie remote. The slim pens can only be used for air commands on the Z Fold screen.

Is there no case that comes with a slim design while offering Pen Holder and Kick Stand? I don't see myself carrying two slide-ins where ever I go so it's pretty much limiting my options to one or the other...
Yee probably only the official one at the moment, i just wished it also covers the hinge. I dont mind buying an adhesive stand.

@channelMasterGuiGame they say, once dust gets in the cracks of the hinge, it starts to have problems because it's dust resistant. But I have the clear ringke case now and I love it. I'd still like a case with a s pen holder and stand.

I have both the VRS stand and the Samsung strap/sand cases. They're both great, only issue I have is the VRS hinge protector keeps it from fitting in any of my phone mounts when opened. No issues with the Samsung case other than I wish there were more color options.
You mentioned something that I had not considered. My Z Fold 5 arrives tomorrow. This is my first foldable. Black Friday deal $799.00. I'm trying to figure which case to get which is a daunting task. I want a case that carries the s pen. I want a hinge, screen, camera lens protector. However, I hadn't thought about the car phone mount. If I get one with the hinge protector, I might not find a car mount that will fit the phone. What to do???

Does the hinge protection on the rugged cases cause scratches? Planning to shift to an overall rugged case, currently rocking the slim spen case, but I'm afraid that the lack of hinge protection might cause a scratch on the hinge. Thanks! Awesome video btw, very helpful!!!!!

My favorites were the Supcase UB Pro and the I Blason Armor Box because they had coverage and they held the S Pen. Also, they came with screen protectors! I too, am disappointed at the choices of cases. I do understand that the Z Fold 5 is still new. So I will be patiently waiting! I like bling and PURPLE!

I own a Galaxy Z Fold2 still and am going to be upgrading my phone in a few months when I can afford it. I refuse to get anything but a foldable anymore, I'm 100% hooked on having a folding tablet in my pocket. I'm either gonna get the Z Fold5 OR, if there is an international release by January or so, I'm thinking about the HONOR Magic V2 as well. I will say this in response to one of your "favorite cases" pick, the Spigen one at the very end; they've made that exact same case for the Fold2, 3, 4, and now 5. When I first got the Fold2, they were pretty much the ONLY case manufacturer that had a good case that protects the hinge. However, I've now been through 3 of them with this phone, and they aren't cheap (I mean, relative to the price of the phone, kinda, but in general its like $60-70 for the Spigen Armor cases for the Fold phones) so just to let people know, the case doesnt take drops very well, the plastic can crack, and the way its designed, if the hinge protecting...hinge breaks off, that entire half of the case becomes useless, and the hinge is the weakest link because it just uses cheap metal springs. Just a word of warning.
I was in the same boat as you man. I traded in my Fold 2 for the Fold 5 and when I got it I was just excited for it as I was with the fold 2! I hope you got your Fold 5 by now or are close to getting it. I had the Spigen Tough armor and indeed it did not handle drops that good. It went to a point where the hinge protector came right off rendering the case useless.
As a ZF5 user I can appreciate all your efforts on this! It seems this year there is a drought on reliable cases to use and with even major companies still not having the case even available to purchase yet!! I'm a minimalist with an already chunky boy, I've heard good things about pitaca cases and my S23 ultra has the latercase by unbox therapy. Still on the fence but great recommendations on here sir. New subscriber here for sure!

Well, if you are a true minimalist and no other brands does a thin and nice looking case, and also a case with the same fitment. Then what to, if you could buy the fold I think you can save for some days more and buy this awesome looking case. Every other case seems to be so bulky...

FYI, Torras told me they couldn't make their case fit the newer S Pen because Samsung kept the specs for it under wraps until the very last minute. They are developing an "accessory" (I'm assuming it's something that will fit into the larger S Pen slot) which will make the case compatible with the new S Pen, but it won't be released until the 21st. If you bought this case and email them, they'll ship you the accessory for free when the date comes.
the same is valid for both supcase and i-blason. So that is the reason why they make zf 5 cases with zf4 pen slot! I was sure they couldnt be that stupid. I use supcase the last 8 yrs. Thx for explanation!
@@quihotedon2061 I'm sure that's what happened. Some of the larger case partners like Spigen probably got some earlier access, plus (in the case of Spigen) they're also a Korean company which probably helps.

Does the magnet in magsafe affect s-pen inking, phone closing opening sensor? I had a magnetic case on my old fold 4 that broke the phone that I had to have Samsung repair.

Hi. Thx for the best case review. Could you measure the thickness of nr 1,5 and 6 on the phone? I'm changing my Fold 3 for Fold 5 and I was using Aramid Case which is very thin. I'm looking for most slimmest experiance.
FYI I had a fold 4 with the pen case that held the S Pen fold version. It works with the new similar Samsung case that has the silicone strap and kick stand option. THe fold 4 pen holder and pen work with the new fold 5 case as well which just adds usiblitly and avoids having the use the slim pen offered this year.

Really enjoyed your video on the best cases! However, I noticed that whenever you mentioned a case with an "S Pen holder", you didn't specify if it was for the new S Pen or the previous Galaxy's pen. It would be helpful to know that distinction. Keep up the great work!
Most manufacturers seem to allow buyers to change to the proper pen portion if their pen doesn't fit.

I'm a big Pitaka case fan! CF and sleek! I was about to order it and just saw 'coming soon!'. Anyway, I need sPen and magsafe on my case, huge sPen user. Sadly only a few cases offer both.
Appreciate the effort! I’m surprised none of the case makers have a cut out for the sim slot! Also, the hump that’s created with the hinge protection is pretty annoying / unsightly ! Using the Ringke case while looking for something more durable. The Ringke case is trash. It’s slippery, doesn’t inspire any confidence when opening the inner display, and the front cover ( even with the stickers ) pops off with little effort. Surprised this was given a thumbs up.

love the built in kickstands. need one that has a kickstand and magsafe built in. also love spine coverage. and heres an idea - why cant someone introduce hydrophobic mesh into a lining that covers speakers and other open areas? to even increase resistance.. gonna try and make some mesh coated with rainex and shoe water remover on mine

I have the official standing case with strap and i love it, plus you can swap in the last gen s pen if you really need to use a pen, perosonally i dont use it, but it just add more functionality to it. I just bought the spigen slim armor pro and its arriving today, im so excited about it and glad that it is one of your favorites as well.
did you use the adhesives for the official strap + standing case?
@@TheFN19 yeah I did use the pre-installed adhesives, so taking it off when swapping cases might be slightly tougher. Usually I just put my spare cases in a draw to keep them away from dust, and most of them remain sticky even after months of being in the draw. Worse case scenario if dust stick to the adhesives I woudl just wipe it with alcohol swab and it works just fine.

@@TheFN19 With Samsung's official cases it barely leaves any residue, but some third-party cases might use some lower quality adhesives that might leave slight residue, but they can also be cleaned with alcohol swab easily so no worries.

Supcase Unicorn beetle is the best case out there. I had one on my ZF3, and my girl has one on her ZF4. Now, i have one on my ZF5. Full protection, full functionality, kickstand, Spen holder, good grip, not slippery, and it looks great.

Been doing a lot of reading about cases for this phone and I've seen this Unicorn one mentioned on several occasions. Can you use your volume buttons and fingerprint reader and access the edge menu options when the phone is open with this case installed?

@duketogo2616 So far I have had mine on my phone for two weeks now. Definitely does not hinder any functionality on the phone for me, the front screen took a little getting use to with the raised edge on the cover but I adjusted the screen sensitivity to high and it's flawless.😊

I have the slim armor pro case for my z fold 5. I've had to remove my glass screen protector as it seems it lifts it up. Is there a glass screen protector that works that you are aware of with this case? Thank you and love your videos!
You need need to Install the screen protector with the front of the case on and line it up towards the left.
I used the #17 on Fold 3 & 4 and it's the best case I could've wished for But now I got the beautiful Fold 5 in white and I'm either going to go caseless (like with Fold 2) or with the clear case (but only the back part so it doesn't wobble)

Are all of these any good towards the hinge area with the front face? That little lip always pops off. Every case i've ever used decelines
I have the clear and black edge version of that ninki one for my fold 3 made by YQODSZ. Looks better than that black plastic one you have gripe i have is the AI autofocus etching for no reason. Too bad they don't make one with an s pen holder for it. Another similar one to that i have is Araree clear case version i have for my fold 5. It looks great but a finger print magnet. Gonna get the frosted clear version. Araree also has the flush hinge protection with an s pen holder, but its for the older s pen and not the newer one. The difference between the Araree and the Ninki is is an extra edge/ lip at the outer corners so when the fold is open it doesn't rock on flat surfaces, also no kickstand. While there is minimal rockage on the YQODSZ, but has the kickstand like the Ninki.
How about araree 360 case with pen holder?.
I have the black slim s pen case and weirdly the back cover moves around just very slightly, it's not a snug fit as the screen cover with the adhesive. Anyone having the same issue?
I want a big bulky case that has space for a pen, minimum a 10,000mah battery and it has to be durable, what would you recommend? It's going to have to be extremely convincing for me to part with my Note9. Been using a Zerolemon for 9 years on my Note4 and Note9.

Which of these cases was the thinnest overall? I currently have the Samsung gadget case, but you don't really make any relative comparisons in the video so it's hard to tell if any of these cases are noticeably thinner than the gadget case.
I have the ringke clear case. So thin and great protection. I love it. None bulky!
Do you recommend hinge protection cases? Im afraid of dust, because of all the openings these cases have when folding the phone. But at the same Im afraid one drop on the hinge and the phone spoils. Hinge area is the biggest hardware issue of the Fold series (saying this as a Fold 4 user whose phone hinge area spoilt twice in 1 year - once was wifi sensor spoilt due the pressure caused when closing phone, 2nd was power off whenever folding, my warranty ran out and had to recently change to Fold 5)

Which one eliminates phone wobble? The wobble essentially renders the SPen writing uselesss for tabletop writing.
