1700 is still pretty expensive imo , but I always liked the idea of having a foldable phone. If it wasn't for the S23 Ultra I always wanted, I would've gotten the fold 5.
It is very expensive! What I did to get the fold 5, I gave my S22 ultra as a trade in, they give you a great value for a Samsung phone as a trade in. Maybe if you are still interested you can do that with the fold 6!
there are promotions every month and you can buy one for 999- 1100
I had ZF5 for 7 mos and sold it for s24u. It's a great device, performance and battery life is great and the build quality is solid but sometimes it's a bit hassle to me that I need to unfold it every time and since it's a folding phone you need to be extra careful unlike the slab phones that you don't need to worry that much. IMO this tech is not suited well for phones, this will be better for tables and laptops
I actually have the same experience opening the main screen more often than not. I always wanted to have the folding phone experience since the fold 1 but it was too expensive and still is!! I got the S22 ultra and exchange it for the z fold 5, now I almost traded in for the s24 ultra. I agree that you have to be more careful with the fold because it has more moving parts than the regular slab phones!
I believe foldable phones will become more popular over time because they allow for more innovation. Slab phones, on the other hand, have little room for improvement.

Massaaaa!! Eu tinha o Fold 4 e gostava muito mas acabei pegando o S24 Ultra agora. Ponto fraco para mim foi não ter a proteção contra poeira, areia e terra... como vivo na praia isso acabou sendo ruim na experiencia anterior. Abraços!!
Eh mais pela questão do hinge que não fechava totalmente, agora no fold 5 ele fecha e essa barreira melhora. Mas pegou super bem!! O S24 ultra eh top demais! Quase troquei do Fold 5 pelo S24 Ultra mas resolvi ficar mais um tempo! Aproveita!! Abração!!

I bought a Hydrogel Protector kit for front, back and hinge and also for the inner screen on AliExpress for $ 4.25 shipped. Got a Samsung Amarid case ans the S-Pen and I just love this phone. Best $ 425.00 I ever spent on a cellphone ... 🙏

Totally agree! For sure it needs to be more affordable. Let's say there would be a $700 foldable where would you think they will cut corners on?
@@GuiCabral_ Uh most notably the chip, which would result in a lot of things like battery and performance. Cameras. Honestly there isn’t a lot of things to cut corners on the fold series except their only option is to change the inside and outside. The whole point of the fold is to Fold. That shouldn’t change but also shouldn’t be limited, also bc of pricing .

I meant more in the sense of things for them to reduce the price, the hinge they will keep improving but for example, bring all the screens back to 60hz, no wireless charging, no under display camera, no too of the line chipset, in order to bring the cost down. Would you still buy it?
@@GuiCabral_ yea kinda what I meant. Change only the inside and outside. Chips, power. Yea. And ofc I’ll still buy it. The folding idea is useful. But hopefully it’s not to slow. The slow ness is the obvious let down. 👍

I'm done with the candy bar sized outer display. They won't earn my business again until they fix that, its quite simple to implement as they have the funds, and consumer complaints about this have been there for the last 4 years or so, it's time for samsung to listen.
I agree it is a weird aspect ratio but if you think about it, they are different than the Pixel fold and the OnePlus Open.
@GuiCabral_ it's different yes, but it doesn't matter, I need a proper sized outer display so that's irrelevant to me. It's a very unnecessary ratio and every single competitor is doing it better than they are in terms on hardware. Csnt wait for my opo to be delivered tomorrow!
Dude no!!!! Make it bigger and it will be square when open leaving black bars on the inner screen... NO DUDE. go buy the pixel fold its square and wastes screen use. That's apparently a need for you. Pixel fold is trash I'm comparison
@@jacebakerjace nah I didn't like the pixel fold. I got the one plus open, it's the best out of the 3 as of now in my opinion. The big outer display is a GAME CHANGER imo. And it's not stubby like the pixel. Best of both worlds imo. Having this phone if galaxy fold never does it like this in the future im NOT going back.
@@grapeeggplant3863the orter display is just for light tasks. Quickly checking something or just making a phonecall. The inner display is what you should use for most tasks.
Front screen is only 900 nits why Samsung cheat us? 1750 is only big screen.
Interesting, I was checking that before replying back to you and I found a review from GSM Arena talking about that. I did a comparison with the A53 which has 800 nits in brightness and the z fold 5 feels better in direct sunlight, more towards the 1750 Nits on both screens. Thanks for sharing that!
