Eating healthy on a budget is getting tougher, but if you know where to shop you can still find great deals!
When I have to spend more money on healthier foods, I think of it as the best investment on my health. It doesn't matter how much money you have if you don't have your health. Keep investing in your health and you'll save, hopefully on major health bills later.
I agree with you 100% but there are some exception cases where no matter how healthy you eat, you're still not healthy and have health problems because of your body/genetic. There are a few KZheadrs I watched who eat so healthy and they've got all the money in the world to buy any healthy foods they want but most of them were diagnosed with cancer. The lastest one just died, she has a craft channel with over a million subs and she was only 33 yrs old. Chandler's Wife (Real Estate channel and their net worth is over $20 millions dollar) were just diagnosed with Colon cancer @26 yrs old. So in some cases, you can eat as healthy as you want, you're still gonna get ill but it's still better to eat healthy rather than not.
I so agree with you. 🙋🏻♀️🫖🍵
@@terriesmith2616 some of that may also be from the environment, factors that you aren't even aware of like what is in the water or what is in the air or how much pollution there is from traffic or industry.
@@mothershelper1981 I agree completely. I watched their videos and they talked about their cancers and what factors could caused it, environment, foods, household items, make-up, etc, they talked about all of that on their YT videos and all of them said they switched to an all Organic environmental friendly cleaning products, they eat healthy organic foods, lots of veggies and not too much meat, they also mentioned they switched to only organic make-ups products, organic shampoo, organic body wash, etc, and even their shower water is filtered and not just their drinking water. You can go watch their video. They did all of that and one of them still passed away from breasts cancer at 33. Chandler's David Smith's wife is still alive at 26 yrs old. She just got colon surgery done two weeks ago and is trying to recover from that. Chandler is worth over $20 mil, so you know they can afford any treatment they want and can afford all the healthy foods in the world. You can do all the right things but shit happens. You just never know.
Absolutely right. People think nothing of spending money on drinks and dinner out, just skip that once and you have your good food money 💰
I am fortunate to have a Grocery Outlet in my town. they carry organic, airchilled chicken , that has been grown 50 miles from my house. Often times, it is marked down. I take it home, prep and freeze it. they also carry legume based pasta ,because most folks like the wheat variety. Cooking from scratch saves money and health.
I’m also glad to have one nearby but the chicken at my Grocery Outlet is way more expensive than at ALDI or Trader Joe’s
So glad I found this channel! You’ve helped me become more educated with my shopping. I already was pretty strict with the products that I would buy, but now I know even more🙌🏻🙌🏻
You have changed my world with shopping. I’m happy to know that I was already buying a lot of what you recommended, but now I know more!
Great video, Bobby! The organic chicken at Aldi was $2.69 per pound. 5.27 was the weight of the chicken.
Good catch, that’s what I thought. I had to replay that.
That's honestly a steal for organic, pasture raised chicken. Good for you
Yes!! So much content from you this week/weekend! Love it Bobby perfect way to start my morning ☕❤
Bobby, please check your Aldi whole chicken comments, if you look it’s $2.69 per lbs. the number you quoted 5.27 was actually the WEIGHT of the chicken, thus the $14.18 total price. I’ve bought organic whole chickens at both Trader Joe’s and Aldi this week. Both were delicious
Thanks, Bobby! Would Love to see a series like this with different cheap finds for us cheap skates. :) Always appreciate what you do!
I am so glad you’re joining these videos…..this is awesome!!
I’m a cheapskate without any suffering. Thanks for the tips!
Wait, wait, Rose is sitting backwards! Love that baby girl. 🥰
You are a blessing Bobby! and I love Thrive Market - thank you for helping us eat better
Cheapskate! You rang? Thank you for doing videos for the frugal folks.
Been shopping at Aldi for years. My #1 grocery store!
And I live in USA 8 years already and haven’t been there even once. I’m a Traders Joe’s and Costco fan, as well as Throve Market, Misfits Market and Hungry Harvest.
WOW!! What a wise information. Yeah!! I learned with you and that is what I'm doing write it all this stuff and go to the do my grocery. Thank you so much!! You are so smart and amazing young man.🙏
These kind of videos are so Informative and helpful! I really enjoy these and hope you continue! Thanks so much!
Downloaded your app this weekend. It’s absolutely fantastic! Makes it’s so easy to shop. It’s hard for me to remember what ingredients are bad and good. This app is a fantastic guide for healthy shopping. Thank You 🙏
Budget friendly vids are always my favorite lol. Thanks Bobby
great video . Thanks for showing the whole nutrient list including sodium as well as ingredients! Some of us need to watch sodium. Thank you
I am so grateful I found your channel. Thank you so much for doing these videos and caring so much for your viewers to be as healthy as possible. I just found you so have quite a few shows to catch up on. Also, I am new to keto but already seeing results (5 weeks in). Not so much on the scale but rather the way my clothes are fitting me. Thanks again.
I have learned so much from you. I have a teen with celiac and hyper thyroids and its so difficult to come up with nutritional foods that she will like. I feel like Im a detective of ingredients now. U rock!
Check Doctor Peter Osborne website for the best information on the subject. He’s got the book “No grain, no pain”. I believe your teen can even become his patient and work his/her way to maintain a healthy lifestyle even with Celiac.
Yes I’m a cheapskate and love eating healthy. This is perfect. ♥️♥️♥️
BTW, excellent KZhead handle!
@@itgetter9 aww ty
I was just trying to remember the Costco EVOO and was glad you showed it again This Inflation SUCKS. Thx for the Tips :D
Bobby and his daughter are so cute. I love how he brings her into his videos.
They opened an Aldi down the street from my son’s house. I’m going to need to it up before I head home, as we don’t have Aldi’s in my town. Then the search is on for me. 🙂 Thanks for doing all of this work for us. I need to eat better, there’s so much to learn. Diabetic, auto immune blood disease, chronic pain - meds for so so long.
Bro, you are awesome!! I love your videos. thanks for all the great healthy tips and info. I’m going to ALDI today to pick up meats, breads, crackers and oils. I’m throwing out the junk in my pantry. Thanks again.
I'm so glad you are helping us shop without breaking the bank. I'm not a cheapskate. I'm a careful buyer. Are you familiar with Brandless? I use your videos weekly now, fairly new subbie. I ALSO just used my Bobby-approved App for the 1st time. It was so easy! Thank you for ALL the ways you educate! I am a much more discerning shopper. Let's keep this as a regular topic, okay?
I love your app, it’s been so helpful when I’m at the food store. 💯👍🏼
Your videos really take the guest work out of it for me. Knowing ahead of time what to look for is a game changer. The only thing is, if you are someone who is use to a certain taste (for instance: Pasta) purchasing healthier options is all about try and error. You have to really find what works for your tastebuds. Unfortunately it could mean making a purchase that you may end up tossing….waisting $$. Bobby you should do taste test challenges!! An example is the Jovial brand pasta vs. the Chickpea or Lentil pasta from ALDIs. Making the switch over to a healthier pasta took me multiple purchases. Now I know that Jovial works for my tastebuds.
His app is extremely helpful. I’m never without his input.
It is some trial and error , but so worth it when you find one you can eat. I am happy with Costco's Healthy Noodle, which is Konjac, far cheaper there than at a health food store, and no strange smell
The taste testing challenges are a great idea!!
I like Jovial pasta too. But my favorite “Taste of republic” pasta. We had taste of republic cauliflower linguine pasta in our Costco last year, but not anymore. I went on their website , they let you know that some of their pastas in some target stores.
Yes I love his app
Bobbying on a Budget! This video is exactly what I needed since I don’t get to Aldi or Trader Joe’s often
I thank God I found your channel on KZhead!! I have learned so much from you. Thanks for taking the time to inform us with whats best to buy!!!🤗👏🙏🏽
Great job, Bobby! Keep the videos and highly informative knowledge coming!
Yes! Tk u....
Thank you, Bobbie. My BUDGET needed this!
I love your videos you were chosen for this I can tell . Keep healing 💯💯🙌🏿
Thank you I needed this🙏🏽♥️
Hi BobbyApproved and family, thank you for your great advice on saving and eating healthy.
Thanks so much for the tips. I wish our local Walmarts were stocked like that. I'm hitting Trader Joe's tomorrow morning for those chickens!
Cotton (and soy) is heavily sprayed with pesticides as well as genetically modified. Both are full of chemicals from processing. Don’t forget that toxic things get stored in body fat and tend to accumulate. The chips done in avocado oil are more expensive, but exceptionally tasty.
I needed a video like this. Thank you for making this video.
I've learned so much... Thank you for another amazing video!
Thanks for making our lives healthier and better!!
My husband is going on disability soon and this video comes at a very good time. Thanks!
Thanks Bobby, you help me a lot. We’re living a healthier life after watching your videos.
I would love to see a video for best baby/toddler snacks/pre made food. I rarely offer pouches or store-bought snacks, but they are super handy to keep in the diaper bag or on trips!
NEEDED THIS!! I TELL AS MANY PPL AS I CAN ABOUT YOU! I WILL CHECK OUT THRIVE
Another great video. I switched to Aldi's a few weeks ago bc they have better selection of food than the Walmarts in my area. The app is next level awesome. 5 star rating. A must have when shopping.
Thanks so much for this video!!!! I’ve always wanted to eat healthy without having to spend a ton at the store…however, I know it’s also an investment to keep medical bills low and myself healthy…
Love all the information you provide!!
You are my kind of nutrition nerd. I thought I was the only one that took it to this level. Thank you!
If you wanna know even more check the book “Swallow this” by Joanna Bluthman. It’s been published some time ago and by now this is EU and US mainstream food reality
HI BOBBY, JUST FOUND YOU RECENTLY AND AM SO THANKFUL I DID!!! I BELIEVE YOUR ADVICE WILL BE LIFE CHANGING FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. JUST WONDERING IF YOU HAVE DONE VIDEO ON SALAD DRESSINGS/TOPPINGS?
Thank you for the tips Bobby ✌!!
Hey brother flav enjoy your your video so far really great I'm 57 starting March 9th so I have my instant pot pro Christian air fryer so I'm going through menu so now she's buying the food for all these items or menus appreciate what you're doing man God-bless you and your family
If you are in the western U.S. (AZ, CA, ID, NV, OR, WA, UT); Oklahoma and Texas, there's also WinCo Foods. An employee owned store and an inexpensive place to shop.
It’s becoming more expensive to eat unhealthy as well ! 😂
You're funny 😄 😆 🤣
Exactly
I'm whole plant based food for the last few months, at first I thought I'd miss meat, cheese, oil, etc... I'm basically 100% legume and vegetable based now and feel more satiated after a meal than I've ever felt on conventional food. Pretty crazy.
You not lieng 😂😂
👁️👁️
This type of video is right up my alley. I hear so many times of how someone can’t eat healthy bc it’s too expensive. And yeah those Costco Keto crackers were so good!
Very helpful thank you I learned a lot from you Bobby
Thanks for the info about chickpea pasta. I’ll try it this week.
Thank you, so true prices are up
Great video but it’s not inflation raising prices, it’s corporate greed
Thumbs up before even watching the video! Thank you for showing us these items!🎉
Thank you Bobby for all you knowledge and the willingness to teach us to be healthy. Just enter 3rd stage kidney dis lease so I need all the healthy advise I can get. God Bless.
I wish us Canadians could get Thrive! 😂 That would make things easier for us! Thanks for all the great information!!
Thank you for educating us.
Thank you for doing this, I am a cheapskate by necessity, I pay more when I have to but if I can find a substitute for cheaper thats a win.
Bobby You ROCK!! Thank you for your channel!
Thank you so so much for your knowledge, and sharing with us!!!
Gotta love the term " colon-blow ". Thanks for making me smile 😃 today Bobby and for all your healthy food info .
.mad love and peace back at you ❤ 💕 💛 thank you for another wonderful video and all the great information all enjoy your day with your fabulous family 👪 much love ❤ 😍
I love your channel! Thank you for all the tips and tricks of shopping. That looks like the Walmart parking lot in north Lakeland 😁
I think frugal would be a more appropriate term. Your timing on this video is perfect! My husband and I were speaking about food prices just yesterday and ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Thank you.
Bobby thank you so much for this video I have really enjoyed it… I will be going to Aldi to look for that bread and crackers I’m curious to try them
Thank you for sharing this valuable information!
well done sir keep the good work coming very informative.
I'm currently spending a lot of money on medical bills (unfortunately not anything that can be fixed by diet and exercise). My new year's resolution was to spend much less on groceries, but eat organic as much as possible. Every Wednesday I scour the sales flyers for all the grocery stores in my area looking for deals, and plan menus around what's on sale and what's in my pantry. This week, I picked up that Aldi ground beef for the freezer, organic chicken drumsticks at Sprouts for lunches and organic whole chicken at Whole Foods (which is on sale for the same $2.69 per lb as Aldi this week). Food's still expensive, but we're trimming the grocery bill, one trip at a time!
Don’t mean to get into your business but you should read the book “how not to die “ by doctor micheal Gregor it’s a book on plant based diets and using this to combat different diseases . You may be suprised how much diet plays a roll!
Let food be thy medicine! Check as well Misfits Market and Hungry Harvest, I personally find it help healthy choices and price wise. And look for a good functional medicine doctor, hopefully locally but many use telemedicine approach nowadays which allows you to look for someone suitable regardless where in US they are and you are. Look into functional medicine doctor, naturopathic doctor or integrative medicine doctor. You have high chances getting of your meds, balance your physical and emotional health as both are intimately connected
I love the taste of that Colbram estate olive oil. I drizzle it on fish that's fantastic on salmon that's been lightly seasoned
Hi Bobby Thanks for the info⭐🍀
Hello this is my 1st time seeing your Channel. So Glad you're here. Thanks for your words of encouragement. I've wanted to give up a few times because i feel useless. I started last year cooking in memory of my Mom she Loved to Bake. It makes me Happy when I'm in the kitchen. I need some advice.
Used your app today and it was super helpful. From Santa Cruz California
I love your videos. I did switch to organic beef , milk, oils… but I cannot follow all the guidelines …on social security we have only 300-400 a month for groceries and household needs. Thank you for all you do.
if you live on the west coast, do yourself a favor and see if there's a grocery outlet near you. they have tons of food that'd normally be expensive (i.e. products from whole foods) for a fraction of the price.
Love your videos! So Informative. Thank you!
At 13:07, Bobby you mixed the net weight of 5.27 lbs (no $ sign) and the unit price of $2.69 per pound (with $ sign). Still great content. Cheers!
Think you Bobby for the video❤❤❤👏👏👏👏
One of your Best Videos! So very helpful!
Thank you Bobby!
I made Rose’s avocado chocolate pudding. OMG. So good!! Thank you cutie pie Rosie!!
I love Rosy so much! She's the sweetest little girl!
“Colon Blow” 🤣🤣 Thx for the laugh and the education. Say hi to Rose. Much love Bobby
Thanks Bobby! ❤️
Please 🙏🏼 keep doing this kind of videos. It truly is hard to shop healthy foods with prices continually going up
You had me at colon blow! Lol! I never forgot that snl skit. Such a helpful video! Thank you!
Thank you Bobby
Haha, I..been watching this channel for about a month, and I have a photogenic memory whenever I go to the store. So last friday I bought that California oil I remembered from another video you did! Feelin o--live!
I'm new to you and your site but really enjoy what you've been sharing. I'm learning alot! And I love Rose. Hi Rose👋
Thanks Bobby . You are the man!
Thanks for the great tips!!
As always, thank you!
My Aldi and Walmart have been out of the grass fed beef here recently. Hope they get it back soon.
Eating healthy should be accessible to everyone. Thank you for the video.
Of course it should! The reason it isn't is because other people control what you and I eat - if we let them. We have to make a choice whether or not to abide by their decisions. Bobby doesn't touch on this because he doesn't make money that way. He used to have a great channel.
@Richard Mauro very true. We think we have choices, but it's only limited to what the $$$ corporations decide we can choose from.
@@palomaquerida true, but you can always choose to cook everything from scratch and to make everything from scratch, most people choose to buy a ready-made for them alternative, that’s when you are limited to choose from only available options in healthy or mass unhealthy world
@SuperAnnetik yes, I was just reading about how convenience foods have affected our health amd especially, our children's health.
@@palomaquerida Reading or listening to Dr. Robert Lustig will really open one's mind to what's going on metabolically speaking.
thank you Bobby, your the best
I recently joined Thrive Market and I love it !!! I save $$$ !!!
