  • As a jiu jitsu practitioner, I felt like my boy was at a disadvantage for the segment where you demonstrate. I understand that him showing the technique for the triangle choke wasnt the strongest thing to choose, since that’s one of the more basic moves you can learn starting at white belt. i was brainstorming other things he could have done to secure his spot, but the only thing i thought about was an actual live roll with someone. But the argument could still be “oh maybe he’s a purple/brown belt. Anyway, It’s a more realistic martial art, and isn’t derived of practiced routines of kicks and punches. Also the fact that his belt had the red bar (very specific to jiujitsu) shows that he is indeed an instructor. The only thing that had me thinking he was actually the mole tho, was how crisp his belt is. Maybe he was newly promoted, but if your belt is faded as hell, it shows how much you’re on the mat. I was really excited for this episode and was hoping there was someone who did BJJ to represent! Sad he got voted out based on the demonstration.
