The tournament takes place for the 141st time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Dominic Thiem is the men’s singles defending champion but has withdrawn following an injury. Naomi Osaka is the women’s singles defending champion and will be aiming to claim the title for the third time in four years. Meanwhile, No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic looks to complete the calendar Grand Slam after winning the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon already this year. That's an absolutely brutal performance. She gave SST absolutely zero chance.
Never liked SST, happy for the Brit.
@@roybaty4785 That screaming...!
Commentator: “- she can do everything.” Next clip 5-0 down
Hahaha
Lol
😂😂😂
And only won ONE game.🤐

I was court side for this match today, she is brutal. Throwing down flat driving shots for fun...so aggressive in her play.
You lucky thing!
That’s one of the best performances I’ve seen and from someone so young. That was a masterclass.
@drttyu liqm If she beats Barty, then she's invincible.
Gotta love that final forehand winner, another day in the office for Emma.
She has it all! Her movement across the court is rapid, her racket speed incredible and her timing faultless! She's a future No 1.
Future number 1?! 😩
Now don't get too excited. Welcome to the WTA, the most unpredictable sports division existing.
@@dadsfreetimeclassicgaming1220 Ur saying what I'm saying right ?
She’s hella cute too
I agree but I don’t want to add to this constant pressure put on young players, I feel like it’s something that can ruin their careers. I just hope she enjoys it and keeps working hard. To be fair having said that Emma doesn’t seem the type to let that change how she plays, not that there is anything wrong if she was.
A complete package...fitness, talent, speed, technique, and charm...Emma is the future of WTA tour
If Emma continues to play at this level, she'll be the new US OPEN CHAMPION! She is truly a phenomenal talent - a new star is born to tennis.
well you predicted this very well! haha
So I'm not the only one looking back through match highlights after Emma's win :)
@@kevinhintleung Too bad I didn't place any bets :)
Emma is one of the best talents I've seen for years she is riding the crest of a wave and deserves all the attention for her tennis but she also is stunningly beautiful
That forehand on matchpoint... it is just a big slap.. holy cow!
Yes this especially after SST shouts “Hey!”
wait. 18 years old! hits her return so hard, and picks out the corners, what a talent.
Yep indeed and coming through 3 qualifying rounds to get into the main draw and now through into Round 4. Running out of superlatives at this rate!
And we have Coco who has been on tour all year😌😌😌and not yet 18
Could be seen as one of the best returns and backhands on the tour down the line.
@@foundgrace82 He was talking about talent, hitting hard, and picking corners and you compared Emma with a player who rarely pick corners, doesn't hit hard, loves feeding her opponents, and relies mostly on her legs.
@@andrecandela2117 is Gauff being where she is by accident???
Unreal hitting today. Sorribes Tormo is one of the best defenders out there, and she had no answer to Raducanu's aggression, power and precision.
Sorribes Tormo is a defensor and nothing more - you need to be at least a counter-puncher (let alone some offensive game abilities) in order to be competitive with top20
Just watched her other two games, which were also one sided, it’s not a case of her opponent having an ‘off day’, she is hitting the ball with allot of pace and accuracy, seems to have her own style of play!
3 qualifying rounds, 3 2-set wins, including a near whitewash of a top 50 player. I think it's safe to say she is in this tournament on merit.
That last shot is hilarious with SST grunting “Hey” and Emma just silently clapping back with a killer forehand
Love the last shot, “Finish her!!!”
Hard returns, flat hitting standing near the baseline, strong off both wings - Raducanu is a pure tempo player
INCREDIBLE!!! I haven't seen that much perfection in a tennis talent since Monica Seles was on tour with her blistering ground strokes fired off with laser accuracy. And Raducanu takes the ball almost as early as Seles did. WHAT an amazing display of perfection!
@Max E It wasn't TOO early; it was PERFECT TIMING!
You called it! Excellent!
She does indeed have that aggressive Ivanovic forehand, but I also kinda see a bit of Li Na's playing style with her as well at times.
Yep. And perhaps not surprising as she cites Li Na as one of her idols
Her backhand is maybe her strongest side as well.
I see Justine Hanna forehand in her . The way she hit her forehand reminds me of the great Justine Hanna .
ABHS Justine Henin.
Her idols are li na and simona halep. She very much also resembles Halep
Can't help but see that Eye of the tiger. A masterclass performance. Can't wait to see what she brings against Barty or Rogers!
She’s producing an incredibly high-carb diet. A bagel and a breadstick aren’t hugely healthy choices
😂😂😂
Dude do you know how many carbs you need to eat as an athlete? 😂 Not even funny anymore
Snap I want bagels now
Ur talkin about Sara right ? Hey remember how Novak met his breakthru ? Read the book Serve To Win, written by him
@M 😂 hey that was funny tho I'm not gonna lie
One word: Incredible!
She's absolutely pummeling the ball and is extremely accurate. That's scary
I thought when I saw her at Wimbledon that she has an exceptional backhand, great movement and mentality, and has an excellent base for a professional player, but needs to improve her forehand. I guess she improved her forehand...
@M It isn't really surprising. Wimbledon was her second WTA tournament ever and she didn't play at all for a year due to the pandemic. She was, believe it or not, incredibly rusty during Wimbledon. She has shaken off a lot of that rust over the last few weeks and has been improving every single match. The scary part is that she could potentially turn it up on Monday having gotten even better again.
@M She looks so much more confident than she was at Wimbledon. Absolutely crushing the ball with 100% conviction.
Raducanu is an evil combination: aggressiveness and precision. This match was the best I've seen her play and the worst I've seen Sara play, her passivity was punished ruthlessly once again. Barty will be Raducanu's next opponent probably.
Was she tired? What was going on with sara. She looked exhaused in the highlights.
Barty will thrash Emma
@@carlleese24 why do you say that? Women's tennis is amazingly low quality... barty is a really really bad number 1.
@@beniteztheconman barty is not bad lol. both barty n emma seem to hold their shot to the end, keeping most of their opponents guessing the placement.
@@LaBambaCL they should get 20 to 30% of the men's prize money.
Brutal performance. Some of the returns were astounding.
A megastar is born. She has all the talent to win big and all the looks and charm to win the sponsors and fans. Her future looks dazzlingly bright.
Don’t you men bully women about hitting the wall?? I can’t keep up with your love/hate relationship with women.
Incredible performance from GBs new tennis star. Been following Emma’s progress for a couple of years now and her improvement is stellar. Also a very smart cookie on and off court...🙌🙌💪🎾🐬
Highlights video - 2 minutes 51 seconds. Press conference video - 10 minutes 13 seconds. These are the wrong way round surely?
"she can do everything" - a second later, 5-0, 40-0 down lol
She literally won 11 games in a row… wow
She owned Sori too in All England
well she only conceded 1 game so it was inevitable 😂
@@patriciabazzi6532 Lol. Hey, pardon, r u Italian :) ?
@@patriciabazzi6532 As a matter of fact, she almost shut Sara out
@@patriciabazzi6532 Wait r u Italian tho ?
Emma's on fire at the moment. I'm no expert but she seems to have the talent and intrinsic qualities to go right to the top. Just hope she can maintain the progress and not be knocked off course by the inevitable setbacks that happen to all players from time to time. Will be interesting when she goes up against Ash Barty - go girl!
When she goes up against Barty? 😂
Yh shocked Barty is out.
It's Shelby Rogers if you PLEASE...Ash is home bound
@@muliyechuula9098 oh my yes you're quite right. Bit of a turn up for form book. Will done Shelby 😏.
Elle joue tellement bien j’ai commencé à la regarder cette année mais elle va monter très vite .bonne continuation sister r
It's like watching Ivanovic when she first started. Such clean hitting and beautiful movement. Loving it.
That's because she looks like Ivanovic.
they've both had the same coach - Nigel Sears
@@RaduRadonys lol there's a phenomena where people see a visual similarity and they automatically compare people but list things that may not compare.
Why do ppl ALWAYS do this? You immediately compare a player to someone they may resemble the most even if they don't necessarily have similar games

Yepp she's British, but the rest of Romanian immigrants that have British citizenship are just Romanian, because they don't compete in a sport event for UK, of course.
So happy for you girl! Keep going.
I like Emma's fluidity on the court. Her backhand is lethal and mirroring Li Na's
why? because she has asian heritage?
I came here to see if anyone sees that too! A lot of her strokes and movement look like Li Na too!

@@notcelestial She admitted herself that her favorites are Roger and NaLi
Give it a few years this girl will be a global superstar.
If she makes a run in this tournament it will happen immediately
It only took her 3 more matches!
She's so untouchable she had to give herself a hug in the end...
Raducanu my new tennis idol,intimidating!
She is on fire. Hope she can make history.
This girl is going to dominate for years. She has a scary talent. I have never seen such a perfect all round game... and at 18. By 21 she will be the number 1 player in the world and will remain so for a long time. This right here is the future of womens tennis and no doubt.
Emma’s tennis coach, Andy Murray’s father-in-law may not be up to the task. She needs Patrick Mouratoglou, the guy who coaches Serena Williams to multiple victories.
Wow, a rising star to be sure.
Would be great if Emma💚 can keep going, such an awesome player. Believe she has the tools to not bounce out due to stress. Congrats🥳, hope she wins next match 💫⭐🏆
And she did!
Jeez those last two forehand winners👏👏😲
Keep it going!
Well done Emma, outstanding
I love how the commentator says after Tormo saves break point ‘that’s what I love about this player, she can do everything’ and the next point is Raducanu winning it to win the the first set 6-0 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow wow…well done Emma👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is impressive beating Sorribes Tormo who gets everything back as you have to be patient with her or just hit straight through her like Raducanu did, what a definitive win over a tough opponent!
Part of Emma’s success is her footwork. Absolutely phenomenal. Look at the tiny adjustments steps she makes before striking the ball.
Raducanu's game reminds me of Agassi's, fast and precise returns, combination of powerful and angled baseline strokes, and breaks opponents at ease.
What a performance
She makes Tennis look more like Table Tennis !
Stunning performance from our Emma! Ash knocked out by Rogers, things out with her control are going her way as well. I will make no predictions and just enjoy this run.
Announcer: Sorribes Tormo can do anything. *Video cuts to her losing 6-0*
Vraiment un jolie sourire et du talent. J'espère qu'elle va faire un parcours aussi brillant qu'a Wimbledon !
Amazing
ruthless wow
Bravo Emma.
What a powerful shot !
That was a free tennis lesson
She is phenomenal.
Brutal!
Emma's strokes are very deep and directed, and consistent, that's the key to her victory
Of Raducanu continues like this. Gonna win multiple slams
Go girl, go baby!
That was a bludgeoning. Somebody call a medic! She reminds me of Li Na. Perfect form on her serve too.
Radu, man. Totalemente Radu!
Grand slam champion Emma 💪
Enjoy the moment Emma.
People were saying how she will handle SST's variety and then here she is without even sweating
Wow she is really really impressive
What a performance. Baby's on fire!
Really lovely tennis player she is uk 🇬🇧
ATP style forehand from Emma?
Wow. That match forehand was rediculous. Salute.
I'd love to know the speed of that.
@@Molybdaenmornell She hit an 88mph return shot on one occasion
Really shocked by this result. Sorribes Tormo doesn’t have the highest ranking, but she’s so solid and consistent that you have to play out of this world tennis to beat her by that score line. Raducanu has a shot of going even further with Barty out now.
Wow wow wow! 6-0 6-1🤯👏👏👏👏😁😁😁😎! Emma Raducanu is a tennis superstar playing demolition job tennis at 18y old!! Congratulations Star emma🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! That’s sending a huge statement to The top players that she is here to win it😎! If ash Barty wants a challenge she has certainly got one in the name of emma Raducanu😎!
Emma... go all the way!
That was quick.
That’s what she said
She's teeing off on everything and it's coming off.........she's on a roll.
Her racquet control is sublime, it allows her to leather the ball with less risk than other women on the tour. Massively exciting player.
Klasa!!!
That last forehand was the reincarnation of Ana Ivanovic and i love it!! ❤️
She is the future. Her potential is huge. On top she is got the right attitude and loves tennis obviously. Besides she is a very attractive woman. She is got a fresh energy, very positive. I picked her to go the distance.
You can't expect to play like Sorribes Tormo did and hope to consistently progress against the best women on hard courts. Raducanu joins Osaka and Andreescu in the rising stars that are stamping their mark on the hard court.
Raducanu is better on grass unlike those two...so far
Radacanu is on 🔥
Emma girl is a serious talent tennis player.
grandeeeeee emmaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! You go Emma!! Barty better watch out. ❤ EDIT: Rogers better watch out. (Barty LOST!)
You need more than just hitting the ball hard to beat Barty. Barty would have her figured out after 4 games that's why she is numero uno.

Excited to see the young players brought to US Open this year, Raducanu is enjoying playing tennis while Tormo looked suffering.
The opponent looked flabbergasted and increasingly distressed. By the end, she was just like, get me the h-ll out of here.
Like anybody losing in this way and at that score
No weaknesses in her game. Attacks and defends perfectly.. reminds me so much of Jennifer capriati
She does, but I hope she lasts very much longer on the tour than Capriati.
