Once again Guys! You did not disappoint!! Great footage and so bloody exciting! Thank you.

Maybe a set of snow chains would have helped on that slippery stuff, they often help on grass and clay type terrain. Great video as usual.

What a thrill! You kept me on the edge again. Can only imagine what it would feel like setting out on this road alone with dusk coaching on and fuel getting low... Respect!

Thanks mate - one of the most stressful treks we've done to be sure.

Excellent stuff! You did well to get it through that slippery mud for so long - and with a trailer! Respect due not only for the vehicle, but the driver. Been planning on getting myself a Defender 90 for a while now (I know yours is a 110). Should be by this winter. Videos like this reinforce in me the capabilities of this machine. Thanks for the vids!

Hi we were the ones in the 100 series , with one headlight and the girls washing the truck. What a blast that trip was but not in a hurry to do it again. Good film clip.

As we found out later, we'd already come through the worst of it when we met you, and you had it all ahead of you. We did wonder whether you all made it through to Birdsville ok. Glad you survived, and I hope the girls didn't get too muddy ;-)

What a laugh - we were the last bozos you passed in the muddy Mitsubishi. 2 hours before you - too kind - more like three. Back wheel cavities completely choked - no traction, no drive - deep poo. Great video. Thanks for the reminder. Mungerannie most welcome.

Good to hear from you Kevin. Was good to catch up with you guys at the hot springs later and have a chat about the track. It was certainly an epic misadventure. Thanks too for the tip on the campsite in the Flinders Ranges - we did camp right on top of the hill. Awesome views but got smashed by a huge storm. Otherwise it was magic.

we actually had to try various combinations in different sections. centre diff was locked in and spent much of the time in high but had to often use low range if we had to slow too much or stop and we couldn't get going again.

Gday Jamie, just wondering was your windscreen scratched to hell after that trip, by the way I have an addiction, its all your fault, it called Misadventure 4WDtv, I need a fix once a week or I go into withdrawals, I know your a busy man but had to say that, will you be doing part 3 of Old Coach road in the near future, looking forward to that. Thanks mate.
@Dennis-zr3fb10 жыл бұрын
Ha - sounds like a nice addiction to have. There will be a part 3 for the Old Coach Rd but it is mostly Maytown and the old mining ruins. Not as much 4wd action.

Did the cover keep the dirty out OK? I can't get over the fuel consumption figures.
@michaelnugara110 жыл бұрын
Cover kept all the dirt out thankfully mate. The fuel consumption was due to constant wheel spin and the motor working so hard. It was insane. Fuel readout was via the avg fuel reading on the electronic scan gauge monitor

One of the more stressful legs we've ever attempted. The scariest part was pulling off the road at one point and watching the car start to sink. Doesn't get any softer than that.
